crackling in the sound

After switching from vista to win7, I get a crackling in the sound

No, these are all problems of driver or maybe hardware problems.

ODJOL: If you have upgraded from Vista (or freshly installed from XP), then you need to install the audio drivers W7 specific relevant for your device. Go to either your computer manufacturer's Web site to find specific drivers for W7. If they do not support W7 to your particulat unit, one way to "solve" this problem is trying to install the Vista drivers in compatibility mode. However, be advised, this is not systematically working on each machine. Otherwise, try the manufacturer of the chipset (Realtek, VIA etc.)

Sirboxalot: W7 wasn't out in 2008, therefore no interest to try these drivers. Is the same however, search for the site of Asus drivers W7. If not, try Visat, as shown above.

Crackle can also be caused by faulty connections, wireless connection/WiFi interference, interference of a HD, if a sound card, then it is perhaps too close to the video card (in the case of a PC) and many other reasons.

Latency spikes can be identified using DPC, and most are due to the cutting of material in and out, the more frequent Services being wireless or WiFi connections.  Just stop these services for your hardware one by one until the spikes go away, then you have found your culprit. Be careful when you do well!

If your audio device's IRQ sharing, and if you have a PC, reconnect the device in another PCI socket

psikofunkster: portable PC/computer manufacturer is responsible for providing the correct audio drivers and if they decide to no longer support W7 for an individual of their products, then that is their fault, not Ms. W7 uses different types of drivers than XP or Vista.

Neurot5: no, the common denominater is normally upgrades without finding the audio drivers for W7.

See you soon,.

  • Tips on sound crackling on the P100-188

    Hello

If you have a P100-188 and meet crackles with the sounds of alert windows (you can check this by opening the sound volume on the taskbar and adjustment button continuously clicking on the volume), and to a lesser extent with music and other applications, it can be interesting to contact Toshiba. I sent an email to the technical service of Toshiba to [email protected] explaining the problem that I had and wonder they were aware of it, as one or two other people have experienced the same symptoms. They sent an email back asking me to contact the Toshiba global support on 0870 066 0191 Center to get more help and technical advice. On this operation a support assistant asked me to reinstall the audio drivers, I did without success, the crackling sound was always apparent, so I am now waiting for the mail to contact me to send my laptop in for repair of.

The noise problem was not bad and I contacted only Toshiba in order to know if they were aware of the problem and working on a solution, thinking it was driver related as it occurred when using the speakers and headphones. Now it seems that it is hardware related and only repaired by heart open syrgery.

I hope this helps other P100-188 owners with the same problem.

  • Crackle M4800 Audio when the sound is played (if no sound has been played for a while)

I have a new DELL Precision M4800 running Windows 7.

There is a distinct noise pop crackle that occurs when the sound is played (if no sound has been played for a while.)

If the laptop is audio playback currently it looks good, but if the laptop is quiet for a while and then something like an e-mail notification is available, crack/pop noise happens as the driver/speaker is trying to wake up.

The problem occurs with the laptop connected and detached.

    -Edit

The solution for me was provided by pknb below.

Reference Dell Open Audio in the control panel. Go to advanced, energy management. Disable the option to disable audio devices.

I do not have the Audio from Dell driver installed - and it seems that maybe the default setting is that the speakers put in 'sleep' in the context of a power saving mode. Looking at my description above I even referenced at the time of the issue seemed to be that the speaker was not long in 'waking '. In any case after you change this setting the problem now seems to be resolved.

Reference Dell Open Audio in the control panel. Go to advanced, energy management. Disable the option to disable audio devices.

  • Why my speakers are crackling and distort the sound?

Why my speakers are crackling and distort the sound?

    Hello

You have a few options as I see it.

Click Start in the search type Recovery Manager, and then click it once select Yes on user access control, and then select I need immediate help and then select driver & select recovery requires the audio driver and install it and then restart the device.

Go into Device Manager and uninstall the sound driver and restart and unit automatically installs the driver.

Try to run the system restore to the date where the unit was working fine.

Try to update the driver from hp.com for Audio & Bios site.

Last step is to perform a recovery on the unit before they please back up your data.

If your laptop is still under warranty, contact HP and make arrangements for the speaker replaced.

  • The sound from the speaker is saturated

The sound coming out of my speaker is sometimes distorted, accompanied by the sound of crackling hard and it is barely understandable.

What may have caused this to happen? It also happens when the headphones are connected, is not a problem with the speakers. Sometimes, the speaker will be fine, but after a few moments, deformation will return (ie. it comes and goes).
My laptop is still under warranty. I tried to organize a warranty repair, but none of the problems in the menu drop-down matches my complaint.

Help, please. Thank you very much!

    Hello Madelaine

Can you please tell us how old is your laptop and since when you noticed this noise problem? Your laptop preinstalled with delivery image recovery or you have installed own OS?

Can you please give us more information on this subject? Have you tested using different applications (watching DVDs, listening to CD, mp3, using Skype or another messenger)?

In the end, you can also contact the Service partner in your country and explain what the problem is with your laptop.

  • Pro 3 on screen yoga movement interferes with the sound?

Just picked up my new Yoga Pro 3 a few days ago and overall, I love it, except that I just noticed that there is a strange problem when listening to music (be it local or streaming via spotify).

If I review a document in Word, or even when accessing the screen Lenovo Support on the start menu, no scrolling left to right horizontal (whether with the touchscreen or touchpad) causes interference crackling sound. I noticed it would be crackling as the Discussion forum cards were loading and appearing too.

It is not the speakers themselves, physical because this happens through headphones as well.

Strange thing is that it does not occur when you scroll vertically through a document.

Overall, it's not a HUGE problem, but because it is a new portable 2grand, I kinda figured I should ask NOW while it is still new and I haven't had the opportunity to load a lot on it. Just wondering if anyone had ideas OE to prevent this?

    See you soon

  • __When I am listening to music on the web page and scroll to the bottom of a page, the sound becomes stuttery and slows down rough down__and. This problem started two months ago. Thank you

In addition, I noticed I have a problem with Flight Simulator Microsoft X too. I've never had a problem before. The sound is noisy, distorted and crackling. I do not add or remove anything in the last two months. It's really interesting that I have 7 games more like: IL2, star Wars and etc on my computer but there are no problem at all.

    Hello

How can I stop my music skip or break down when I play?

    1. right click the icon of speaker near right lower clock - peripheral of reading

Highlight speakers - properties (right same low page) - tab improvements - check Disable all sound effects
    Apply - OK

    2. check the configuration - Device Manager - sound, video and game controller

Note name and complete model of the audio device - full decription - now double click it.
Driver tab - notice the driver version. Then click on set to update driver (maybe nothing like MS is far
behind the pilots of certification). Then right CLICK on the device - UNINSTALL - REBOOT - it will refresh
    the driver stack.

Now go to system Maker and look for the updated drivers (or get the same if no new) it will be
your rescue. Download - SAVE - go to where you put it-RIGHT click in it - RUN AS ADMIN

Then do the same for the manufacturer of the device (like Realtek or who made the device).

NOTE: Often restore audio drivers to check the version after installing and restarting is
see if the version you have installed is there, otherwise repeat the installation - restart until it is. This may take
several tests according to the recommitments how much he makes.

Look at the sites of the manufacturer for drivers - and the manufacturer of the device manually.

  • Crackling throughout the multi-lane

I worked on a great mashup thing, and to I have divided it into sections, each section being a separate multitrack mixing, registered as a .au. These sections would then add to a largest multi-track, once completed.

The mixdowns of the sections seem well on their own, but then adding them to the largest Multi-track, they begin to produce crackling whenever the track is too strong. This crackling will begin to occur in the final mix outside the multi-circuit so, although he did not before, and no change was made for him.

Is there a way to stop this crackling?

I use hearing CC, on a 64-bit Windows system, if that helps.

    Thank you in advance.

It depends on what kind of Crackle you get.  (Yes, there are different types/causes).

Your mention of what happens when things get strong, my initial suspicion is that your signal can be cut, which is stronger than your system can handle.  Auditioning himself, working in 32-bit decimal floating, is almost impossible to clip, but what can happen is that hearing beeps too hot for your D a converter (sound card) to manage what causes this or put in place by your monitor to overload and CRAC.  If that's the problem, all you need to do is pull down your Master fader so no peaks exceed 0dB (FS) in meters.  Better yet, pull it down a bit more for security - you can still optimize levels when finalize you things.

The other thing that could be is simply overload the processor on your computer.  This can happen when you have a lot of tracks and effects all running at the same time.  There are various things to do for that.  First of all, make sure that you have the bare minimum running in the background on your computer... No Wifi or anti virus or internet browsers.  Secondly, in hearing go on Edition/Preferences/Audio material and increase the size setting of buffer or latency (changes in the label according to the type of driver you are using.  Low latency is important while monitoring but much less important during the mixing.  Finally, if you use effects on the slopes, you can pre-rendered everything that you are happy with (the icon "BOLD" of lighting at the bottom of the rack of effects or the mixer itself).  Finally, it should be optimizing your computer for sound.  How do depends on which operating system you use, but Googling "Optimized Windows X 64 bit audio" should give you useful results.

  • Change the sounds in Sierra?

Hello good people who hopefully know more than me on these things:

In operating system, we could change the sounds of trash going to Finder & to find your way to coreaudio, etc., but now it seems that one cannot add or remove sounds in or out of this folder.

I do something wrong or Apple has indeed taken something away from us once again (for example, the ablity to customize certain sounds)?

Please if anyone has figured this out in the new system, help a brother.

Also would like to change the sounds iMesage & error as well on the Sierra, if you know the trick!

    Thank you very much!

So I solved my problem by simply reminding you must clear the SIP first, then you can access and modify all that many good things to the desire of the heart of yer.

  • How to disable the sound effects?

After the upgrade to Sierra, various applications now have sound effects. I unchecked sound effects as part of its interface. But the mail still makes a swoosh sound when sending anything. I don't know yet what other applications continue to use sound effects.

Is it possible to disable all sound effects?

Some applications have their own internal settings not affected by system settings in the Finder

for example, to disable the "Swoosh" in mail go to mail > Preferences, click the general tab and clear the sounds of other messaging features.

My sound on my iPad text used to be good... now I can barely hear it.  How to fix this, please?

  • YouTube the sound cuts in and out

In recent days, the videos YouTube is, at times, distorted, cuts in and out. This phenomenon appears only show all listening with, wireless, headset. When I disconnect the headphones and listen through the speakers of the iMac, the sound is normal. Also, AFAIK, the phenomenon isn't that videos of YouTube in Safari or Firefox, not iTunes internet radio, videos played in media players etc.

I listen to the videos on a background of radio internet iTunes, and when the problems of its manifest, the sound of internet radio iTunes is smothered. Returns to the top of the normal when the distortion stops, and when I stop the video playback.

I tried uninstalling and reinstalling adobe flashplayer (latest version), I deleted the browsing history, cache and cookies. Did not help.

El Capitan, Firefox, Safari, latest versions.

Someone has any idea how to solve this problem?

I think that I thought about it.

But first, I have to clarify that not all YouTube videos deal with this problem of sound. Only certain channels, no problems with other channels, except where they included third-party clips in their videos.

I read somewhere that the headset and the computer must be plugged into the same power strip. I checked that. They were (Belkin Surge Master). So I tried to plug in the headphones to a different power strip (regular, plugged in the Belkin Surge Master), and of course, the problems of sound disappeared as if by magic. If anyone has an explanation for that, I'll be glad to hear.

  • The sound system preference and Callnote

I installed Callnote to record Skype sessions, but I found that it was interfering with the audio system so I uninstalled using AppCleaner. However, I have always had a rest of Callnote in the input and output peripheral windows from the Sound System Preferences: How can I get rid of him?

Also (in the spirit of BOGOF - buy one get one free), it's annoying that my startup to open Safari, it starts but does not show a window - I always click on the Safari icon in the Dock. This started to happen with Yosemite, I think; until a window appears automatically. I presume that it does not show because "Hide Safari" is an inalterable permanent choice in the Safari drop-down menu, but why is this so when no other application has this selected permanently?

Don't know about the first part, but for Safari, try going to system preferences/general and uncheck the narrow windows when you exit an application.
