operating system xp proffesional sp3 floppy disabled in bios but stops with the error message disk are still not (40) start the computer to the top when you press f1

Hi petertomblin,

I suggest you remove the floppy from the boot order in the BIOS (Basic Input Output System). Later, check to see if the problem persists.

You can check again if the disk is disabled in the BIOS.

Note:
change BIOS / chipset can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the configuration of the BIOS/chipset can be solved. Changes to settings are at your own risk.

Hope the helps of information.
