Crash animation After Effects rendering parameters

Hi all

We have a strange problem on one of our Mac Pros running After Effects (CS5). Whenever it is rendered with the rendering of Animation parameters, it beach balls and finally crashes, unless you log out the user and reconnect (on rare occasions, it can only be fixed by a reboot). However, when it crashes in this way it takes forever (10 + minutes) to get back up and running. It is the only time wherever it takes time to turn on or open a session.

However, if we change the rendering parameters to tell h.274, everything works fine. I don't think that it is because it is short of resources as the Mac has 32 GB of RAM and the file that we were testing on is not big (< 1 GB). We tried making it over the network or locally on the machine, but it will freeze anyway. This is a question which is limited to this Mac Pro, so I don't think that it is just a bug in the software, considering how it is not random at all and other machines with the same exact game to have no problem. Normally, I would say that we need to update or reinstall a codec if it was third party, but considering that animation is from Adobe, I don't think it's as simple to fix.

What do you think guys? Don't you think that it should reinstall After Effects?

Try to uninstall this version of Quicktime and go with version 7

You use the default Animation codec which is the default codec. You should really study up on top of the rendering and formats. I guess that your connection to the external drive has had some problems of data rate or start bits. Try another cable or restore to your boot drive. You put across your latest screenshots to the point where they are very difficult to read, but it seems that everything is normal, except that your upper screenshot shows that the images only in the shot looks like it's from a GoPro and cadence of composition in the render settings appears only 24. It is not likely that this is the actual rate of the images. Select images in the composition in the project Panel and check out the cadence. If it is 59.94 your comp should either be 29.97 or 59.94. Due to the size, I suspect that the pace is not 24 but 23.976.

This has caused probably not your problem, but frame rates are important to understand and use correctly.

  • Why after effects renders me with audio bad?

I made almost six times and the result of these makes is that audio offense, when I play it in Windows media audio Don t reproduce and I reproduced a file to this alternative and reproduced it is excellent, the worst is that when I play in VLC or Media Player sound is ok, this isn't the main problem because for me it again one of the programs that it works, I need to make this video with less size or weight, but when I do this deal finally with the audio it s completely damaged. It's never happened before. Please help me.

I'm not sure what you're saying. Are you saying that when you return leave After effects audio sounds bad, but the audio file that was in your composition sounds not so bad when you play in other applications?

You're not tell us what looks like your original audio file or what are your rendering in After Effects settings, so we don't have a lot of information that we might need.

Is the correct sound when you make an AE RAM Preview?

What is the file format of the audio file?

What settings do you use to restore EI?

If your original audio is an MP3 file, try transcoding to a WAV and use in AE. Make an uncompressed file to AE, then use Adobe Media Encoder to make your folder of final delivery. It is in any case the correct workflow. AE should not be used to make your final compressed version.

  • Why used after effects rendered parts of my video?

Kind of sequels, I was doing a project. In it consists of; Rotation, Fading in and out etc. At first everything was fine, but if I had video preview, the preview would stop at the moment the effect will start and it would interrupt the preview of the whole project. I can't find any solution, so I came to the conclusion to make a post. Please help! , When I try to make it, make it fails when the effect is good place to start also.

UPDATE: I found out why, it was one of my effects that was to ruin the whole project.

  • How to change the resolution of the After Effects project rendered in Adobe Media Encoder for an overview of H264?

I want to make a 1080i computer at half the resolution or third resolution in the SOUL to speed up rendering for previews times low resolution. I just got a glimpse of H264 low-resolution take 5 minutes to encode in AE and 28 minutes in the SOUL.

It's easy to do in After Effects rendering parameters. However, the option "video" in the SOUL seems to imply that is encoded at this resolution, not made at home.

I went into AE and changed the setting in the composition to "half" window, but when I queue it in the SOUL, the 'Source Match' button still shows 1080.

What is the right method to get the results I want?

I am currently using AE CC and CC SOUL on Windows.

Short answer: the feature you are looking for does not currently exist in the After effects-of-SOUL workflow.

When the SOUL is coding a mock-up of After Effects, it doesn't have the ability to affect the way in which the model of After Effects is rendered. The model will be always made its intrinsic properties. Even when you resize the encoding settings in the SOUL, the full model is made and scaling only during encoding.

Caution: SOUL CS6, we began work to enable this feature to exist. When you right-click on a computer in the queue of the SOUL and click the Source settings, you can control the rendering of After Effects settings: Guide layers are visible or not. Our intention is to extend this feature, although the addition of parameters affecting the properties of the model (as opposed to the visibility of the layers) is much more difficult and remains on our to-do list.

In addition, the composition Viewer settings do not affect the properties inherent in the model itself, it only affects the way in which the model is seen.

As you correctly deducted the differences between rendering and encoding, I expect you have also already considered workarounds to get what you want (a model made faster which is coded in the SOUL), but summarize these ideas even when:

    (1) makes an intermediate file without loss of After Effects and which encodes your delivery with SOUL format, possibly using spyware files to automate the side of the SOUL of the process which is what I would recommend.

    (2) nest your scale model in a model more small that corresponds to your desired settings and encode this model in the SOUL.

As always, please send us your thoughts on how you want to see the After effects-of-SOUL improved workflow: http://adobe.ly/feature_request

  • After Effects vs Flash for Animation

Hello!  I was wondering if someone could tell me what is the best for animation - After Effects or Flash?  The advantages and disadvantages of each, or something along thoes lines.  I looked at other threads, but they were rather dated (or simply unnecessary, list without reasons).  If it is useful to know, I would never do web animation and I'm already pretty familiar with After Effects in the motion graphics and Visual effects.  I also wonder which is more commonly used in the industry, and who would benefit me more in the future (job opprotunities, MICR).  Thank you in advance.

Rick is correct. I used Flash and AE for the animation of the years and he is really not what you're trying to reach. Flash has advantages in my opinion you can put more assets on a layer in Flash where each asset requires a new layer in After Effects.

If you do not use Flash, do NOT use video clips, use of graphics but it's 'old school', but when you export the result you can then import the swf file in After Effects and have the best of both worlds.

    I hope this helps!

  • Import without loss after effect exports in first CC

Is that what someone else has experienced a recent rejection of first CC to lossless after effects renders?

I have lower thirds and other titles that I export as lossless, some with alpha and others without. When I shoot them in first about a week ago, they were all very fine and dandy, but now he claims that the same exact files are unreadable by first and I have to go through a process of conversion through Quicktime to load.

What is a recent update with first or After Effects that is the cause? I have about 300 lower third and titles that I prefer not having to go through and convert...

Right, sorry, I just always think of the lossless as being the same as the code for the Animation.

Therefore Quicktime codec Animation presets without loss and loss + alpha in After Effects.

UPDATE: I'm sorry, after having this problem for a week, including two hours, it seems to have fixed itself. I probably look like a crazy person, but I know that I was getting an error "Unsupported file Type" on the .mov even now import fine.

I guess than Hooray for problems that eventually settle! If all goes well it should not.

  • First CC can make After Effects files

8 64-bit Windows, card graphics NVIDIA GeForce GTX 760 (3 GB), 32 GB of RAM, Intel i7 processor

Earlier today, I was change to a 13-minute film. It has a few After Effects animation stills. Everything was going well until I made a few adjustments for animations in After Effects. BIG MISTAKE. Now, the files don't make first, even if they did last week. The changes were minor. I tried to empty the cache for the Premiere and After Effects, uninstalled and reinstalled both programs. No change. I tried to create a new timeline and import the sequence above, but now one of the files in the panel mounting AE said "Media disconnected" even if I made any changes to it. This ONLY happens with projects containing these AE files. I tried messing around with other projects and the first works very well. I can change the animations in After Effects, fine, but first makes. It freezes or crashes every time. For some reason, he began to spoil once I edited the AE files this morning and I have no idea why because is not the first wave of changes I've done for them. Premiere and After Effects are updated, as it's my graphics card driver.

Any help is appreciated. Thank you.

Thank you, Jim and Greg for the help so far. I think that I managed to fix on my own. I worked with 4 animations After Effects at very high resolutions (because the film had to zoom and Pan). I was able to make 3 of them in .avi files, but the 4th was too damaged. After effects has crashed every time, so I recreated the composition of a new still. It worked, and I made this clip in an .avi file as well. After I managed to remove the first Pro After Effects sequence, first stopped crashing. I have imported the .avi files and was able to modify and make it again. I can only assume first was having too much with the original files of AE, either because they were too big, corrupt, or both. Still don't know what happened when I edited the Monday morning, but fortunately I managed to work around it.

  • Yosemite 10.10 and after effects CC - opens, but only make it to Quebec

Downloaded the version beta of Yosemite 2 the other day, not thinking about how all the programs could work or not. Thus, all programs adobe open very well, except for After effects. I've heard other people having problems to open it - my problem is a little different.

After effects opens up, but almost all the options menu is grayed out, and nothing is clickable. The only window that opens is make to Quebec is it possible to fix this? I can't find anything on google.
Another problem is that tracing does not seem to find my GPU. I had my Geforce GT 750 M included in this file list followed Ray, if that makes a difference.

You have opened After Effects rendering engine mode.

Don't double-click the icon in the application's folder named Adobe after effects Render Engine.

Remove any file named ae_render_only_node.txt in your Documents folder, as shown here:

  • Using Windows Server 2008 with After Effects as render slave?

    Hi guys,.

We have a good number of servers running Windows Server 2008 64 bit.  We also wanted to use these boxes and wanted to know if it is possible to use them as slaves with After Effects rendering?  Anyone doing this?  We found nothing to a Windows Server 2008 system configuration.

    Thanks for everyone entered.

    Jason

    Here are the system requirements:

    http://www.Adobe.com/products/AfterEffects/systemreqs/

Windows Server 2008 is not on this list.

  • rendering of 3D animations in After Effects?

So I use Blender to render 3D images that can take forever depending on the samples with the engine cycles. Basically, I wonder if I can import templates 3D and then create an animation using those, and if after effects will make more effectively or even not at all.

    specifications are:

    CPU: i7 4770 k @ 3.8 GHz

    GPU: GTX 780

    RAM: 16 GB DDR3

C4D Lite lets you import 3d models and render in AE, but if you want a really fast rendering engine, try a third party plugin such as element or 3D Invigorator.

  • After Effects freeze at the beginning of the rendering

    Hey guys,.

you could imagine the title my AAE CC 2014 crashes when I run the rendering. I made a composition with a rendered TIFF_Sequenz in Cinema 4 d. It took about 8 hours, but it workes very well. In AAE, I added music, effects, and other videos like particles and other things. Now when I add it to the render queue and press make freezes and my PC is massively. I tried to turn on/off rendereing several images simultaneously and OpenGL, nothing helps. My rendering parameters are 1920: 1080, 60 fps, XVID Mpeg4 codec. I got 8 gb Ram and also tried high and reduce the reserved ram aae. No, I looked for like 3 hours and has not gotten far. I also worked with Blender and rendering an animation with my SLI - Gt 650 M. I have an Intel Core i5 - 3230M @ 3 GHz Maximum. In a TIFF sequence Rendereing also caused an accident. I've also updated to the latest version via CreativeCloud. The composition is in total 5 sec long. I hope someone could help me.

    Welcome them

EDIT: I tried to only the TIFF_Sequenz of C4D to .mov and it worked fine. Try to make the entire composition of .mov Gets the same result-> CRASH.

You have very little RAM, which is likely to be the cause of your accident.

Restart your machine. Don't start any software other than AE. Then return in an intermediate file in AE (with off multiprocessing) format. A good intermediate format would be QuickTime with the JPEG codec. Then close AE and take over. MOV files in Adobe Media Encoder and create your H.264 from that.

If that doesn't work, tell us exactly what happened.
