Create a custom stamp of a JPEG image to be placed in a PDF document

Hello

I'm new to photo-shop and would be delighted if someone could help out me and maybe point me in the right direction.

I have a custom stamp of a scanned image of one that I use at work. It is just a base image. Red writing on a white (obviously) background. My problem is that I want to delete all the whites in the image and to make these parts of the picture transparent so when he he placed on the PDF it does not hide information (electrical schematic drawings requiring a stamp AS-BUILT). The same as if you have been stamping the paper physically.

I tried to download my scanned image stamp in Acrobat and just the opacity setting, but it also loses a lot of color. Bright (blood) Red fades to pink and our customer will not accept this. We are trying to expedite our process with does not eliminate physically + 250 000 documents.

I'm sure it's a fairly simple process, but I am lack of time to research the required methods. Any help in this instance would be greatly appreciated.

Jpg image 1 open)

(2) in the layers panel, click the padlock on the layer to convert a background into a normal layer Layer

(3) select the Quick Selection tool

4) slide through the white area (repeat as many times as you need to have all of the selected white)

5) press shift-ctrl-I on windows or cmd-shift-I on Mac to invert the selection

(6) in the menu, choose layer > layer mask > reveal selection

At this point, white must now be transparent. If you want to repair, click the new thumbnail of the mask in the layer and use the pixel normal tools as the adjustment brush, gradient, reverse, filters, etc.. When finished, click on the thumbnail of the image.

The beauty of a mask is it is the destroyer and can be changed any time in the future, as long as save you it in a format that supports layers and transparency.

If at this point save in jpg format is out as it supports not either. TIFF, psd, png are good candidates. Keep in mind that png does not support layers and is of type RGB only.

    Hi all

    I create a new theme with new models. I would like to use images for buttons in my new models via CSS.

    For example: on our server under $ORACLE_HOME/apex/images has a directory for each theme (theme_1 to theme_20)

    Can I create a new directory for our custom theme under $ORACLE_HOME/apex/images and use it through the ApEX? If yes how can I do using this EPG or HTTP Server?

    I have the EPG and HTTP server configured for ApEx.

    Yes, you can create new folder and have your theme images and CSS here.
    OHS need have access to the folder on the server where you have placed images.

    If you are on the EPG, the Dietmar Aust blog post might help how you can access virtual folder is using FTP or WebDav and create new images folder and place here.

  • How to change a JPEG image that is placed behind a chart control for precision alignment

    Hello

    I need to scale an image in the form of a JPEG file and place it behind a graphical indicator. Place an image is no problem, but I can't find a property node such as the zoom, which will allow the scaling. It is the preferred method.

    A second option would be to scale the size of the parcel to the image, but it would have the disadvantage of not scaling to screen different monitor resolutions.

    Last solution would be to save the desired data in a CSV file format and view the two parcels ascent, I really don't want to do.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thank you

    It works, however, it means make the outline of the whole graph transparent, technically he will, but presentation is not very good.

    Thanks again

  • How to create a button that opens the attachment (file power point attached to the pdf document)

    Hello world!

    The question is in the title.

    How to create a button in Acrobat Pro to open a file attached to PDF?

    I have moved your question to one of the forums of Acrobat, first.

    If the target file is not a PDF file you need to use a script to do it. The structure of the script would be something like this:

    this.exportDataObject ({cName: "Name of the attachment.ppt file", nLaunch: 2});

  • Using the bookmark names to create custom stamps

    Hi all

    I am a VB programmer who is faced with a task in JS.  I'm trying to do 1 of 2 things: I would prefer #2.

    1. create a custom stamp by using the file name.

    or

    2. create a custom stamp using the name of the bookmark (which in turn will be the file name)

    I was foooling around during a certain number of hours trying to get this to work, here's what I've done so far:

    I created a stamp, the stamp has two text boxes I need to fill from a string. The string is in the format of
    "08363-G-5109-DWG-R-00001_A.pdf" with a variable number of characters before underscore, but still the same after the underscore. In the first text box, that I need
    08363-G-5109-DWG-R-00001 that I get with

    Code:
    Event.Value = event.source.source.documentFileName.slice (0, -6); This excellent work. The second box should contain the letters that lie between the '_' and '.pdf' and everything I have tried does not produce a result.

    I focused most of my time trying to separate the file name, thinking that the same logic apply to bookmarks.

    Things I've tried:

    [CODE]

    var str = event.source.source.documentfilename;

    strt var = str.lastindexof ("_");

    var end = str.lastindexof(".");

    Event.Value = str.substring (strt, end);

    and

    var arrStr = event.source.source.documentfilename.split ("_");  ' * Harcoding = "08363-G-5109-DWG-R-00001_A.pdf" works *.

    var arrstr2 = arrStr [1].split(".");                                             "But is not very dynamic

    Event.Value = arrstr2 [0];

    and

    var str = event.source.source.documentfilename;

    var arrStr = str.split ("_");

    var arrstr2 = arrStr [1].split(".");

    Event.Value = arrstr2 [0];

    [/ CODE]

    Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Note that JavaScript is case sensitive, so is not "documentfilename". You have it right in the first script you show.

  • When using an accept custom attribute on an input file his show all files rather than the files that I choose (accept = "image/jpeg, image/gif, image/png, image)

    Hi, I am trying to use the entry of the file accept to limit the type of file that the user can choose when downloading a file. in fact, I have two problems that I can't understand our:

     1. If i am using the value "image/*" its limit the user to all the images but if i am using a custom
         limit e.g. "image/jpeg,image/gif,image/png,image/bmp" its show all the limits in the select box but the
         default value for ths user is "All Files". In Chrome and IE10 its working as needed.

     2. When i am trying to limit to "swf" files using the value "application/x-shockwave-flash" its show "All Files".
         In Chrome and IE10 its working as needed.

    I use Windows 7.

    Thank you.

    Well, it seems you do what it says in the documentation: https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/HTML/Element/Input#attr-accept

    Firefox actually allow you to drop a folder that is not on the list? In other words, is the problem of acceptance is ignored, or that the filter does not display the dialog box?

  • Create a slide show of pan/zoom of jpeg images

    Hello

    I am trying to improve the quality of the slideshow presented on this site: www.archscapecg.com. My knowledge of flash is quite limited. I know how to create the slide show, I'm not sure know how to optimize the quality and keep the file small. The original was created as a .wmv and then converted to .flv. I heard that create the slideshow in flash using vector images is the way to get the best quality. So, my questions are:

    1. How can I convert a JPEG to a vector image? I can do this in photoshop?

    2. how to convert the .swf file to .flv without quality loss?

    It's the approach I've heard is the best, even if it's just someone told me. If there is a better way, please point out where I'm wrong.

    Thanks for the replies!

    No, a vector file must be created using vector drawing tools/software.  Vector shapes are mainly of simple forms, either in terms of shape or color.

    What you might be able to do to improve the quality must first, make sure that the images are sized for the application and you do not drastically reduce in Flash itself.  Change the dimensions of the file outside Flash and then import them.  The next thing that could help is to enable smoothing for images.  This is a right the images in the library, select properties and then check the option to allow smoothing.

  • How can I create legends customized for each image (large) target displayed with the widget to the Gallery?

    Greetings!

    I'm having any joy with the thumbnails Gallery - with the exception of a customization widget, I would like to make.

    I would like to have descriptive legends custom unique each 'target' (large image) image displayed. I can see the legend box personalized, move, modify, etc, but this is fixed for all images in the gallery.

    How do I change each caption for each image of the target?

    Thank you very much

    JL

    Assuming you are talking "Vignettes" under "Slide shows" widget in the widget library, simply drag the widget on a page to insert it. Once inserted, make sure you have legends in reverse by clicking the widget inserted on the page, and then on the small blue arrow top right of the widget that appears once the widget itself is selected, and check the box called "Legends", this will add captions [Lorem Ipsum] to each photo, you can then at this point click or double-click the text "Lorem" on each photo and that you want it to be. I hope this helps.

  • How to create a Signature stamp-préajustées

    I was able to create a stamp in paint, then saved as a PDF file. The original image was 3.2x1.9 inches. But when I saved it as a PDF, it did not retain its original size, it explodes on a large scale. Don't know why, but it feels like there should be a setting to keep the size, almost like the scaling, when converted to PDF format. in any case, my work around was to extend the borders of the image to 8.5 x 11 inches, and it worked to this point.

    Now I want to do the same thing with my signature, but regardless of how I do or what I change, the image is either its natural paint of small file size and when saved as PDF it gets massive or I adjust the sheet, like I did with the other image, and then I'm left with the massive block feature with a signature on it.

    Any assistance with this would be greatly appreciated.

    I am on Windows 7 pro

    Adobe XI 11.0.1

    No other picture options except if performed within Microsoft office applications, in addition to the paint.

    Purchase of additional software is not an option.

    You get a scanned image of your signature. Make a signature you like.
    Insert the image into an empty Word file.
    In addition, you can create a custom page for this Word file, size you know.
    Anyway, customized size.
    Use of the design change tool Word has to assign to white background of the image transparent.
    Record.
    Now, create a PDF file.
    You can create the PDF file using the functionality that Microsoft includes in its desktop applications.

    You now have a PDF file that contains the signature image.

    Using the available with Acrobat Reader XI stamp tool, you create a new patch.
    This will use the PDF file to have the signature image.

    When using this stamp, you can size.

    Be well...

  • Why my custom stamp turns when I save it?

    I work in Adobe Pro X.  I saved stamps custom in earlier versions, but x they save vertically rather than horizontally.  Frustrating and it doesn't seem to be in any way to turn just the stamp.  Thoughts (other than upgrading to XI - waiting on the budget-powers-that-be approve)?  Help appreciated!

    I thought about it!

    was having the same problem and it has cost me half the morning to work.

    When I was creating the stamp, I need some comments and annotations added to 'flatten' I me print to PDF and then cropping the page to the size I wanted and then import as a stamp. in any case, when I was printing to PDF in the print, in the section "Management of Page" dialog box "Auto-Rotate and Center" option has been ticked, he forced my character to be centered and landscape page orientation. To laugh n kicks, I unchecked, change the page orientation to Portrait and my stamp image went in the upper left corner. I've clipped my result as I would normally, and to create the new custom stamp, it was right as rain. I hope this helps!
