• Trying to create a unique folder for other clients on the network.

  I have a home network, both computers on the network, el capitan and el capitan MacbookAir iMac.

  the iMac user is IMAC_ADMIN and MacbookAir user is AIR_ADMIN, both have administrative privileges on the local computer. (I presume that the iMac user has no privileges on the MacbookAir, because it's a completely different system, and vice versa, Admin users should not be able to do anything on the other machines.   You almost perfectly describe the scenario of the use of the folder "Shared" in Mac OS X.

  Inside your BootDrives 'Users' folder, there is a user/entity called 'shared '.

  1. are you referring to any program or folder?

  2 is the limited issue while accessing the hyperlink for any program in particular?

  Try the following and see if it helps.

  Method 1:

   

  Try using the command prompt and try to create a new folder and check if you can create a.

  To do this, follow the steps below:

  a. Click Start.
  b in the start search box type CMD and press to enter.
  c. type cd... publicity and press ENTER, repeat the cd... and press ENTER until you have c:
  d. now, type the following at the command prompt:mkdir folder_name

  Here, folder_name is the name of desired folder

  e. check if the folder is created in the C drive.

  I can't create a new folder under libraries/photos. I have several folders and subfolders, but lately when I try to create a new folder directly in 'photos', I get a "file system 512 error." I can still create new folders in the existing folders, but not directly in the library/images directory. I am confused because I have done this several times before.

  I downloaded and ran an expensive registry fix program and have the latest Windows. Neither helped.

  All ideas are most appreciated. Thank you!

  You're right, I was assuming that the my images from your user account folders was in this library.

  OK, let's try again.

  Go to the images of C:\Users\Public\Public folder. Create a new folder in the folder public photo.

  Now go back to the photo library and see if this new folder appears here.

  I was not able to create new folders in my pictures public library recently. Whenever I do, I get a message from file system error 512.

  A forum sponsor said that Windows 7 had a limit of cable of 50 folders under the images. Even though I've had 61 cases, which kind of contradict that response, I went before and tidy up until now I have only 39 files directly under the images. However, the problem persists.

  Just for the record, I also did a registry cleaning, obviously have restarted, etc.

  Any ideas out there would be more appreciated.

  Did you changes to the computer before you encountered the problem?

  My children (limited users) have access to the folder of files public photos. I want them to see what they want, however, I need to make sure that they cannot edit or delete. I can't understand how to do this. I currently work as a limited user and only work as administrator if necessary.   I have a problem in a laboratory on the Dell Optiplex 745 computers. In this workshop, there are 29 computers initially running Vista SP2. I cloned all 29 computers to Windows 7 Professional SP1. After I cloned these computers, I found 15 of them, the Public Desktop folder is missing. All other public folders (Documents, music, photos, etc.) are visible. What happens to all the accounts of profiles (Admin, teacher, student). It doesn't matter who is connected to one of the 15 computers. This isn't a unique profile corruption problem.

  Looks like the theme you use has changed the button "new folder". This is probably the icon "+" under the folder tree (you can also type Alt + o in the Bookmark dialog box to create a new folder).

  Right click offers many options, including "create new portfolio" but not a new folder. By clicking on the record button create does nothing.

  This is something new, but I can't think of anything that I did recently to make it. It sounds like a permissions problem, but I can't find a solution.

  Have you checked the folder permissions create? Pull up the properties of the parent folder and select the Security tab and click the Advanced button. Double-click the user, and you will see permissions of created files.
