Create a shortcut in Mac Photos

I want to create a keyboard shortcut to show or hide the faces.  I tried to make sure that the combination of keys that I wanted to give has not been used by anything else in Photos.  Here's what I did:

System Preferences > keyboard > shortcuts > App shortcuts

I chose the Photos app (i.e. NOT all applications)

Click Add

For the Menu title, I entered the "names of skin face", which is the exact menu under 'View' element

Assign my key combination (I tried the command-h, option-h, command-option-h, command-shift-h, etc.

I did the same thing for "Show names of face', of course using a different combination of keys

It worked only the first time that I used it.  After that, he just has pépié an error home sound or went to some random menus.

Is it because that the menu item is a toggle?  By this, I mean that, once I use the shortcut to hide the face of names, this menu item disappears from the menu, replaced by show faces.

Note that if I first click on the menu from top level, usually either shortcut would work.

Thanks for your help.

I used the same keyboard shortcut for two entries: "Hide face ⇧⌘H of names" and "see the Face name ⇧⌘H, since the two menu entries can only show alternately.

And it works reliably for me on OS X 10.11.5 and photographs. 1,5.

  • Shortcut for combining Photos with LR?

When I updated my mac to the new operating system, he got rid of iPhoto and replaced it with Photos; Subsequently, LR no longer recognizes my photos.  I now get for each photo.  Does anyone know a shortcut to combine Photos and LR?  I have 8000 photos in LR and I don't not want to locate each.  Thank you!

You can probably just create a link to them. Look in the box of files left in your Lightroom catalog while you've selected an image, you used to have in iPhoto. It shows for the folder hierarchy? It will probably say something like iPhoto Library.photo or something like that and it will be a question mark in this regard. Right (or control click) on it and select "update folder location. Now simply select the new photo library which is located in your folder images (the default location), and if you're lucky all your images will be re-issued.

    Hey John,

Another user with the same problem reported success in repairing the file association for its types of LNK files.  To do this test, go to the following Web page.  Scroll down (to half way down the page) to find and click on the link for LNK.  Open the file that downloads and run the registry script and see if it solves the problem:

    http://www.SevenForums.com/tutorials/19449-default-file-type-associations-restore.html

Alternatively, you can try the system restore to roll 'back' in time to 48 hours.  This restoration will cancel the changes made to the system files and the registry changes, but will not affect of your personal files, emails, photos, documents or anything else.  The restoration of takes about 2 minutes and you can cancel it (or choose another date to return in time for) if he does ' t solve the problem.

If you are looking for a good anti-malware program that is compatible with Windows 7, please let me suggest one made by Microsoft.  Windows Security Essentials is a product AntiVirus and antimalware low impact that stays away, is not slowing down your system and never requires a renewal fee to get updates.  I love it and recommend it to everyone.  Do not forget to remove all existing antivirus/antimalware program, you might have before installing a new one: http://microsoft.com/security_essentials

  • Change the keyboard shortcuts on Mac

    Hello

    DW CS6.

I tried to change edition key code for "move at the beginning of the line" and "pass the end of line" be Cmd + left and Cmd + right as they are for most other applications on Mac. Beginning and end are the mappings in the Standard of Dreamweaver file, but these keys aren't on the keyboards of laptop and Cmd + left and right are the conventions these days anyway (yes I know using the Fn key I can reproduce beginning and end, but I want consistency with everything I use).

I created a shortcut in duplicate using the Dreamweaver UI, but when I go to edit a shortcut, or add a new using the interface user of DW, it will not recognize the arrow keys. By example, by pressing Cmd + left does nothing and it is not registered.

So, I went and edited the shortcut file and put myself in the changes, but when I run the application Dreamweaver ignores these changes.

Here's the shortcut file changes I made. Note I have removed the Cmd of the move and salt Word leaving Opt as the modifier (agai the Mac convention) and then used Cmd to MoveStartLine, MoveEndLine, SelStartLine and SelEndLine.

But when I launch DW these key parameters are ignored. In the user interface, they are empty.

    < SHORTCUT ID = "DWShortcuts_HTMLSource_MoveWordLeft" key = "" / >

    < SHORTCUT ID = "DWShortcuts_HTMLSource_MoveWordLeftMac" key = "Opt + Left" / >

    < SHORTCUT ID = "DWShortcuts_HTMLSource_MoveWordRight" key = "" / >

    < SHORTCUT ID = "DWShortcuts_HTMLSource_MoveWordRightMac" key = "Opt + Right" / >

    < SHORTCUT ID = "DWShortcuts_HTMLSource_SelWordLeft" key = "" / >

    < SHORTCUT ID = "DWShortcuts_HTMLSource_SelWordLeftMac" key = "Opt + SHIFT + left" / >

    < SHORTCUT ID = "DWShortcuts_HTMLSource_SelWordRight" key = "" / >

    < SHORTCUT ID = "DWShortcuts_HTMLSource_SelWordRightMac" key = "Opt + shift + right" / >

    < SHORTCUT ID = "DWShortcuts_HTMLSource_MoveStartLine" key = "Cmd + Left" / >

    < SHORTCUT ID = "DWShortcuts_HTMLSource_MoveEndLine" key = "Cmd + Right" / >

    < SHORTCUT ID = "DWShortcuts_HTMLSource_SelStartLine" key = "Cmd + Shift + left" / >

    < SHORTCUT ID = "DWShortcuts_HTMLSource_SelEndLine" key = "Cmd + shift + right" / >

Can someone tell me how to do the remapping these shortcuts?

    Thank you.

Since CMD + left/right are native keyboard shortcuts to go to the beginning/end of the line, you can achieve the desired result by removing customized in Dreamweaver keyboard shortcuts.

For each of the following items, select it and then click on the "-" (less, "point remote") button:

Changing code > move the left Word

Changing code > move the right word

Editing document > go to the next word

Editing document > go to previous word

  • I have more than one partition on my hard drive, how to create a shortcut to a particular drive from the desktop?

I fitted with a 1 TB drive to my macbook, then partitioned several times, all good so far, everything works.

I use two connections, staff and work. My 'work' connection I have one partitioned drive named "work" which I use as an archive / storage for all work related data, far from any current activity. How to create a shortcut for just this partition to 'work' on the desktop?

I tried Finder > Preferences > general - show these items on the desktop, hard drives of ticks. But it shows then all partitioned drives.

The partitions must be included in the side bar of the Finder to choose. You can also click with the right button on a volume and select 'add to dock '. I don't know how to add an alias on the desktop.

How can I create new shortcut keys, say "empty the Junk folder" or "empty deleted items folder?

    Good.

There are several articles on mozillazine giving the names of the internal functions that you can call scripts keyconfig. Good hunting.

  • Cannot resize firefox so I can drag and drop to create a shortcut

I can't make my Firefox page smaller so I can drag and drop a web site to create a shortcut. I use windows 7. I have no flu when I point at the bottom right. When I use zoom the page itself re sizes but not the window. I just need to see a bit of my office, so I can create a shortcut.

Hi limomitch, Firefox will remember the last 'normal' window size by saving in this file you deleted (which Firefox creates new). To switch between the normal and maximized window styles, you usually just double-click the title bar of the window, or you can use the middle (the one between minimize and close) button in the upper right corner.

If you find that the 'normal' window size has increased too, and if the lower right corner is not visible, you can try Alt + SPACEBAR. It is a convention of Windows on the scale to display the window control menu. If the size is not gray, press arrow down once, then the up arrow key repeatedly until the lower edge of the window is in view. Repeat with the left if necessary and right keys. (If the size is dimmed, choose restore and that might be all you need).

  • How to create a shortcut to the desktop as with IE?

I changed my browser "Firefox" to "Internet Explorer and I would like to know how to create a shortcut to my desktop."

You can drag the favorite icon on the left end of the address bar on the desktop to create a shortcut.

You can also use an extension.

  • create a shortcut on the desktop link when right click in Firefox

When I use Internet Explorer and that I right click when I am on a Web site, there is an option to create a shortcut to this site on my desktop.

When I use Firefox and I click right when I'm on a Web site, there is no option.

I want to know how to insert this option in Firefox to do a right click for me.

Here is the Mozilla help page:

    http://support.Mozilla.com/en-us/KB/creating%20A%20desktop%20shortcut%20To%20A%20Web%20page

Drag the icon of the site (which is the symbol of address bar on the left) on desktop, and then rename the shortcut to your Web site.

DeskCut module works, BUT it needs to be changed in the Option section after installation:
    DeskCut options
    A. name tab of the
    1. name of the Options file: generating the file name of the page title
    B. Path tab
1 sets the path... Browse... Choose where to place the shortcut (usually on the desktop)
    [In Win7, it's C:\User\username\desktop ""]
    C. OK!

    Now, it should work!

What a pain that Mozilla should have added a right-click feature "Create a shortcut" in Firefox!
