create dvd Windows

I'm trying to return my dvd creator to the default settings.  I was able to use it to burn video files, such as avi quickly without any problems. for some reason any for the last 3 weeks, I am unable to burn a dvd, I can use on my tv/dvd player.  need help without having to restore the entire system.

Hi Syed,

Thank you very much.  Don't know which program is causing the problem yet.  I made the changes in the start menu to the top so that only Microsoft and my ESET antivirus programs load at startup.  I kept your instructions if it happens again.  I'm so happy, I thought I was going to have to do a total system recovery; that would have been a major pain.  Just burn a second dvd with success.  Eternally grateful.

Kind regards

It must convert your mp4 to WMV format video, and then add the wmv in Windows DVD Maker.

There are other formats supported by Windows, but I chose WMV format because it is the most reliable and foolproof format for Windows.

You can google for a free video converter. No need to buy one, unless you are a 'huge' in the making of films and others.

I use Prism video converter. It's free.

I'm not fan of movie maker. Prism is what I need it to do.

The tool using System Restore may not necessarily help you determine the problem. The System Restore tool uses points of restore to return the system files and settings to an earlier point in time. You can use it to restore the operating system to a point in time where you have not experienced the problem. When you use system restore to restore the computer to a previous state, the programs and updates that you have installed are removed.

  • create dvd Windows continues to burn about 20 percent

I'm trying to burn a dvd using windows dvd creation, but the stalls of process around 23% in the burning program that it seems to freeze at that time there. I tried several times but it will not move any further.  I have compiled a video using windows movie maker holiday, as I have said can not complete the process. I use a dvd recordable 4.7 GB drive.

    Just some thoughts...

OK... you have created the project with Windows Live
    Movie Maker?

Two things that can cause problems are:

    (1) using the incompatible sources in the project files.

Several formats are apparently compatible with
Movie Maker, but the most reliable choices are:

    Photos - bmp
    Video - wmv
    Audio - wav, wma, wmv

    (2) the project is too large and/or complex.

The fix for this would be to create several small
projects and save each of them in the movie WMV
format in a folder on your hard drive.

The collected WMV files can then be re-imported
in Movie Maker to bring together in a single
film or they can be imported into DVD Maker
and each comes a scene on a DVD.

The following video tutorial shows how to save
    as. WMV.

  • Problem creating DVD Windows 7

    Hello

I've recently updated 7 of Windows Movie Maker.  My HP computer was purchased new in spring 2011. It says in my properties that my new version of Movie Maker is 2012. However, he is not seen an update for DVD Maker. I work on a pretty long video in Movie Maker for months and wanted to burn it to a DVD just to see what it looks like on my LCD TV and see if I can see things I want to change. But DVD Maker says that it does not support the file. I noticed that the file is no longer ".wmv" but is now ".wmvlp" or something like that. IM at work so not sure. My question is that it seems obvious that the update for Movie Maker is not compatible with the old DVD Maker but I can't find an upgrade for DVD Maker. I like the creation of Windows 7 DVd and don't really want to install a different source for burning a DVd is there something I can do or install so that my DVd Maker burn my videos? Move Maker was seen some questions and that's why I updated and it works fine now. But now it seems to not be supported by the creation of DVDs. can help you and I would like to know if there is anything I can do to fix this? I would really appreciate it. I pray that he is simply a patch or a download that I need to try.

You mention that you are working on a long video and I feel that I
should warn you that the large, complex projects tend to cause

You receive an error message? If so, what does say?

Sometimes it helps to turn off the filters.

  • create dvd Windows preview disc fine but audio quality has decreased after the midpoint

It is my first experience with the creation of windows dvd in Windows 7.  It is simple to use with regard to loading photos and songs; I've added 400 pictures and 14 songs.  all previewed well but not serious dvd reproduce the same audio quality.  first half was ok, but then the audio quality degraded, agitated on the first and full entry finally put an end to all audio and video.  Repeat the burning process and the next dvd had the same question.

    need help please!

Have you used an assortment of Audio files... IOW... not all from the same source?

May be that one or more of your source files are not fully compatible or are corrupted.

The more reliable format for audio in Movie Maker and DVD Maker is WMA.

    Hi Faceman16,

    1. what player do you use to play the video?

Step 1: Cross the check if you have selected the right setup before taking the disc using Windows DVD Maker.
    a. see change Windows DVD Maker DVD-Video settings

Step 2: Try to play the video using a different drive and check the result.
