  After reinstall Agent for the 15 th time and wait for about 10 minutes of frustration, it works, I n believe in miracles, but here's the evidence, what I've done:

  I have the role of administrator of BI,

  With the help of the Administration-> manage privileges, I see that BI administrator has following privileges "deliveries":

  • Change current subscriptions for Agents

  However, when clicking on the heading Global-> new I see only the following options:

  I am quite new to DreamWeaver and HTML.

  I followed the excellent tutorial at http://www.Adobe.com/devnet/Dreamweaver/articles/first_website_pt1.html through all five parts (don't look at upload to a remote server, which is detailed in part 6) to make the site as directed with success example. However, I find myself with no understanding of how create my own site now! I reread it, but it did not really help.

  I'm looking to make a site, consisting of three pages - a welcome page with a banner above (replace < H1 >), then a spry menu bar, with links to the other two pages (I had intended it to be identical on the three pages to save time). A second page with images, with text and links credit and finally a page of text.

  Are there other people resources can you recommend? I am particularly confused about the positioning of imagery?

  Will it fixed or liquid html for the above site models?

  How do I put a global background for just black - what div and which property site.

  I am aware that more than a question, but I thought that they are likely to be easy to answer to and I didn;' t want to flood the forum.

  While I thank you for responding and useful links, you suggested it, put it down at the beginning of the post is not the warmest welcome to a forum.

  Sorry it was not supposed to be or sound, but to compensate for the welcome on the forum and sorry again for the way it can rang.

  What I wanted to point out, is all by following a tutorial and the logic behind it will help, it won't give you a glimpse of how a page/website is actually built unless you already know why a particular tag or css rule is applied.

  According to the code used by others is a good way to learn html/css, but except if you are willing to do it with a number of different tutorials the reasons why are often obscured by the tutorial itself, because it is something that the author will normally expect you to bring with you.

  This is the reason why I don't actually answer the following questions.

  The first is the use of tags div/margins and possibly resizing of the floats (see the link w3cschools) the second will depend on how you wish to 'flow' page to respond to the browser, and the third is to change the rule of the background color for the body to your css rules.

  As you may see, none of the above will help if you don't understand the why of the tutorial itself. Yes I realize that this may also look like enough condescending again, and yet once again I apologize. But Web design is not as simple as we can think, and without a reasonable knowledge of the basics before you start he only asked problems in the future.

  You can put the number of point to 0, which will solve your problem? Use the right click menu, edit the issue, on the first tab, you can decrement points to 0. Or other: open the Advanced Interaction (Project menu or F9), estimated that the dummy question, set the number of points to 0, you could also disable 'Report' for that matter. If you use default Question slides and let "Display progress" enabled in the settings of the Quiz, the dummy question will be included in the total number of questions. I would like to know if it is a question?

  Sorry, because that's the problem: you have to disable 'Show progress' in the Quiz settings. If you want to display the total number of actual Question slides, you can add your text caption appropriate to each slide. You use CP4? If all goes well, you can then set a user variable to calculate the correct number of the slide and the other to calculate the total number of slides, by decrementing the system variables corresponding.

• Creating an agent - "agent.sh: command not found".

  I'm trying to get my agent up and running.
  
  My environment variables were not set correctly, so I had to update:
  $ODI_HOME the value oracledi.
  $ODI_JAVA_HOME jre/1.4.2/ value
  
  (1) where is $ODI_JAVA_START set?
  (2) I guess that once it is set correctly I get the error "' agent.sh: command not found" when I try to "agent.sh code MyPassword", correct? "
  
  I hope this will get the agent passes once it's installed everything correctly.

  You can simply add/OraHome_1/oracledi/bin/from your path
  or create a new environment variable for example export ODI_BIN =/OraHome_1/oracledi/bin
  or run $ODI_HOME/bin/agent.sh

• WebMonitor Agent question

  Being dense myself typical, sorry. I test the WebMonitor agent and I get an alert on Server_Availability. When I enter the URL in a browser, I am able to access the page.  I get the same result when you use Get header or get Page.  I just need help to understand how it works. (had to clean up page)  Thank you

  

  The agent does not 'wget' but rather a native call to fetch the page, but it is likely that you are on the right track; the page request can be blocked by a firewall rule.

  You can monitor a public web page (e.g. http://www.google.com) of this Windows Server? You can monitor the URL target of an agent WebMonitor deployed on another (for example Linux) machine?

  Dear gurus.

  Today one of the agent is stopped working and I am getting below error.

  Agent is blocked. Is blocked: Agent is out-of-sync with the repository. This probably means that the agent has been reinstalled or recovered. Please contact an administrator EM to unlock the agent by performing a resynchronization of the agent from the console.

  Event, I tried to unlock the agent on the OEM portal by navigating Setup-> manage Cloud control-> Agents and selected agent on and clicking on unbloc but immediately his once again blocking...

  So I tried on the agent server by running below command but no luck

  1. status emctl agent

  2 emctl stop agent

  3. delete the files of

  CD $AGENT_HOME/sysman/emd/upload and

  CD $AGENT_HOME/sysman/emd/State

  4 emctl clearstate agent

  5 emctl sure agent

  6 emctl start agent

  7 emctl pingOMS

• Interface of host agent questions more is more recent than the server

  I noticed that my host in Lab Manager is available but not ready state, which means, I can't really do anything.  The error I get is:

  With interface '5' agent version is newer than the server interface version '2' on the host.

• Creating a new question page

  So I built a home page, now I want to add additional pages. I want to the header and footer still contain the same well. How would approach I did this instead of needing to add the logo every time? Is there a css thing, what can I do for images? How can same for google analytic code, I make it appear in every page footer?

  There are two ways to do this, the most common for what you described is to create a model. With a model your can create child pages, that are an exact replica of the original page.  Most of the elements is parts of the page that will change forever, usually a logo and header with the verbiage and the same content.

  The weakness to models, is that if you make a change, you must download all the child pages.

  An include on the side server is a file that appears on as many pages as you want, if you make a change to understand it, upload to the server and all pages will change. It's perfect for menus and content subject to change. It's something like an image that you have on several pages that you edit and changes are visible on all pages.

  I do not understand the basic of Acrobat workflow.  When I first create a pdf file, I can type away as if I was with a word processor.  But as soon as I save the file, close acrobat and reload the file the next day for some reason any I can no longer type or edit any text.  What gives?  All I want to do is to continue to create the pdf file.  It's almost as if once you close a pdf file then become etched in stone as the Code of Hammurabi.  I want to just pick up where I left off.  I tried searching the forums and found a post that says: «do not change the file pdf.»  Find the original file and change this. "What is the original file?  I saved it as a pdf. Why is this so complicated?  I have always considered myself well with computers, until I embarked on the case of humiliating to try to use this thing called Acrobat, I probably invented by Carl Rove as an enhanced interrogation technique.  The great feats of mental acrobatics to take to succeed in this.  Someone please help me out here.

  Funny post but I'm sure that it's not funny for you.

  The reason that you saw mentioned to change the original is that, as the code of Hammurabi, PDF is supposed to be a final product. Acrobat was never intended for a page layout or word processing application. It is intended to give you the ability to create PDF files from your applications so that people without apps can view and print the way you intended.

  The new Acrobat gives you an option to create a new file and do a few simple typo but, there a lot to debut and again, it was never intended to replace a publishing computer or word processing application.

• Creating Application planning question

  I uninstalled the planning and the same reinstalled on windows 2003 server and to configure it with success. I created a
  schema for an application in oracle 10g. Using the classic application wizard, I could create an application [FinBud]. Saved in the planning of the web and be able to see the application which I just created the log on screen. But I'm unable to log into the web inorder to create the databases in essbase. Its gives an error otherwise unable to find essbase. Same I restarted the essbase server. Please suggest where I'm wrong. Also, please suggest where I can find the info of the error, I checked the folder logs but that no information. Please advice

  Open the configuration utility and go to planning and then edit your data source that is bound to your planning application, make sure that essbase information are correct.
