I created a new user:

When I tried to connect to thr disk administrator:

Create new commercial area Option is disabled - sound for this user only.

Then, I compared this user with other users... I have foubd I have not attached Application Developer RESP to this user... Apart from that, I do not found any difference.

But problem not solved...

    Real emails regarding the TB account I used for years are still present in the "users-> xxxxyyyy-> AppData-> Roaming-> Thunderbird' folder."

    I tried to make another account on my windows pc, I did ok but unfortunately when I created the new accout it somehow automatically 'disabled' my administrator account and is no longer presents itself as an option "connect". I tried to use XP_Addadministrator.exe, but when I hit apply to the program, he did not do anything.     You use the built-in account named "Administrator"?  If so, the behavior you describe is "a feature, not a bug."

    Windows XP hidden administrator account when a user account is created (because it's a good idea not to use administrator systematically; it should be saved for emergencies).

    You access the administrator account integrated differently depending on whether you have XP Home or XP Pro.

    For XP Home:

    You must restart in Mode without failure.  Restart the computer and start typing the F8 key as soon as the initial startup process is finished.  If you see the Windows logo, you waited too long and you have to restart again.   If you do it right, you will see the white Advance Boot Options menu on black (image).  Use the up/down arrows and the Enter key to select Mode safe because your mouse does not work on this screen.  Once the computer starts in Mode safe mode, the administrator account will appear on the Welcome screen.  If you have not changed the password, the password is blank (no password).

    For XP Pro:

    Follow the signs for XP Home Edition, or in the Welcome screen, with no logged-in user, press CTRL + ALT + DELETE twice.  The 'classic' logon box will appear.  Type "Administrator" (without the quotes).  Once again, the default password is empty.

    If you insist on using the account administrator integrated on a regular basis, at the very least you should create a new account with "computer administrator" privileges and keep unused and in reserve for emergency use. You can use any name you want (other than Administrator), such as MyAdmin.

    To view the account administrator on the home screen, use the script on line 5, http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_tweaks.htm right side (read the instructions at the top of the page).

    In Mail preferences, accounts, go to the advanced for the account tab and uncheck automatically detect and manage account settings.

    You cannot deselect this option for Gmail accounts.

    Place fields on the other, it is delicate and not recommended. Basically, the last field you edit is one that is going to be on top, but you cannot force it to other means. It is not a good idea, generally speaking.

    I have Win XP on my Dell Dimension 5150, which is the dual boot with Linux Mint 12 Lisa and this is my favorite of the bunch.

    I bought the DVD of 8 Pro Windows by an Australian retailer.

    Win XP is on a 39 GB partition with other application files. I had to delete several files to get the free space necessary to WIN 8 and finally finished by formatting the partition and passes for a COMPLETE new installation.

    Unfortunately, I now get the "failed to create new partition or find existing. For more information, see the Setup log file"error message. I can't find a Setup log file that I do a boot from the DVD.

    I tried to delete all external drives and other USB devices, including my Modem but my Wired USB keyboard/mouse.

    Two internal HARD drives are as follows:
    Disk 0 Partition 1-110 GB - system (LINUX)
    Disk 0 Partition 2 - 3.5 GB - logical

    Disk 1 Partition 1 - 47 MB - OEM (reserved) [DellUtility]
    Disc 1 2:Win - 39.1 GB - System Partition
    1 3 disk partition: DATA - 39,1 GB - logical
    Disk partition 1 4:OfficeProgs - 19.5 GB - logical
    Partition on drive 1 logical - 39.1 GB - 5:PROJECTS
    etc to score 8 with 9 MB of unallocated space.

    I have tried both 64 and 32 discs with the same result.

    As I have now is no longer no matter what Windows on my computer, what's the next step? If any ;-)

    I solved the problem. It seems that you can not install on a secondary partition with in an earlier version of windows. You must restart the computer and run the installation from a dvd or other media.  Once you get the installation running you should be able to install on another partition without any problems.
