So please try other discs. Also, check the Toshiba page for an update of the firmware of the CD/DVD drive. Maybe it will help you.

Satellite Pro A300: How to create the recovery disk
Hello
I just bought a Satellite Pro A300 with Windows XP.
I want to know how I can or if I need to create a recovery disk that will reset the machine to its original state.
The information gives instuctions on how to proceed for the Vista machines, but not for XP.I know that I can recover from the hidden partition, but where this is not possible, I wish I could get CD or DVD.
There is a recovery CD included product that says only: "MS Windows XP" so I guess that it does not include drivers or Toshiba Software?Any help appreciated,
Thank you
MickHello
You have preinstalled software Toshiba TOSHIBA Recovery Disc Creator?
Please check this box.
Using the TOSHIBA Recovery Disc Creator you can create the recovery disk. But if your laptop was already pre-installed with Windows XP and then a Recovery CD or DVD must be included.
Have you checked all of the items in the box?

Difference between the boot disk volume and boot drive
in disk utility, which is the boot drive and boot boot disk volume? I am follosing instructions to restart my Mac into recovery mode and the instructions tell you to:
"1. restart your Mac and hold command + R to start to enter in Recovery Mode."
2. open disk utility in the OS X Tools window.
3. Select your boot drive and the boot disk in the sidebar.
4. click on the button "Repair disk" utility disk in the first aid tab.
After you perform these routines to correct the partition scheme of your disk and formatting, use disk utility to perform a permissions set on your boot volume (this is in the same first aid tab). Then turn off your Mac (do not restart it) and perform a reset SMC (see here) and reset PRAM (see here) for good measure. »
That's what I see in my disk utility:
Which of these is the boot drive and boot boot disk volume?
The boot drive is the entrance 320,07 GB. Disk and volume are the two Macintosh HD.

According to the utility I use either + r or - R disc, why did he not accept

Get your product number by pressing Fn + ESC key or check the Service tag on the bottom, may be under the battery.
Go to 'Support & drivers' at the top of this page. Enter your product number. After you enter the PN, click Next, then choose the software & Drivers. On the next page use the menu drop down to select your (probably Windows 7 64-bit) operating system. A list will fill with the drivers. Recovery media should be listed as an option to purchase, if you live in the United States / CA. usually around $17.
If a recovery media is not listed, use the link that I posted above to get the phone number. Often if you support your software fails to create the set they send a free of charge.

"Can't find the necessary files" cannot retrieve or create the recovery disk. Help!
I can't refresh PC or create the recovery disk. He keeps going with error message "Cannot find the necessary files" and tells me to insert the recovery media. There is no system restore point, and I've upgraded to Windows 7 Windows 8 Pro without a disc, so I can't do anything. Help! Strangely, nusrmgr.cpl disappeared, although I had seen the shortcut a few weeks ago (no, I'm not deleting it).
Hello
I imagine the inconvenience that you are experiencing. I'll certainly try and help you in the matter of fixing.
To help you to propose measures to solve the problem, I would appreciate if you could answer the following questions:
1. Why are you trying to cool off the computer?
2 are you facing problems with Windows 8?
3. how many accounts is configured in the computer?
You can scan the file system (CFS) auditor. This will replace the corrupted Windows files.
Follow these steps:
(a) start the desktop view.
(b) open the command prompt, right-click in the left corner when the windowappears, and select prompt (admin).
(c) type the following command and press ENTER:
sfc/scannow
The sfc/scannow command analyzes all protected system files and replaces incorrect versions with appropriate Microsoft versions.
You can also try to create a new user account and check if the problem persists.
If the problem persists, you will need the DVD to perform repair installation of Windows 8. If you download the installation of Windows 8 files, check your emails, there should be a link to download an ISO file. Download and burn the file to a DVD.
The DVD to perform the repair.
Hope this information was helpful and let us know if you need more assistance. We will be happy to help you.

The file system is THAT VMFS 3.33 maximum file size is 256 GB. The block size is 1 MB. If it is the block size that is the problem how can I easily change?
It's in a laboratory, not a production environment. I need the flag eagerzeroedthick like Im trying to create a passive active cluster node MSCS 2 on a single physical node with 2 machines VMS.

Satellite R630-13D: failed to create the recovery disk
I have a similar problem. I have a Satellite R630-13 t and tries to use the Toshiba recovery Media creator to create restoration 2 DVD discs.
When you try to create the first disc, I get the following message:
Cannot read the next file.
E:\Boot\fonts\chs_boot.ttf
(Error code: 020150-20-00000000).I get a similar message when you try to create the second. I tried four times. On my last attempt, I disabled the protection in real time on my virus checker (Windows Security Essentials) - I don't know how to close down completely, not sure you can. I also turned off wireless and bluetooth.
I need to create these discs please. I use anti-scratch Philips DVD + RW 4.7 GB 120 Min 1-4 x speed discs.
I know that someone else mentioned to try a different type of disc but I just bought these for this purpose and don't really want to buy more if I can help it. The disc type is certainly not a problem? When I look at the disc in the drive, they have files on them - even the file that the error message above says that he could not read.
Thank you
IanI had similar experiences in the past and I can say that, after several tests using different types of media, I was able to create recovery discs using DVD-R only media.
Hey two disks empty buddy aren't really expensive so don't waste your time here awaiting a solution and buy two or three empty DVD-R discs and create recovery media.
Another tip: do not buy some cheap stuf but high quality TDK or Verbatim discs. -
The Partition that contained my restore system windows 7 has disappeared. I don't know how, but now I need a startup disk. Online all I have saturated adware etc... I also try to restore the partition that I need to know how to re - install windows on it. I did not receive a disk when I bought my computer. Thank you
These days it is rare for sellers to include DVDs with their laptops. Those who make their own PC maintenance create their Boot CD so that Windows is running. It takes less than five minutes through Control Panel / backup and restore. If you skipped this step you will need to ask a friend to burn you.
To re - install Windows, you have three options:
- Perform a factory restore using the hidden restore partition. See the HP web page for detailed instructions.
- Restore the windows of an image that you created some time ago.
- Order a DVD of restoration of factory at HP.
