  If I understand your question, you want to create a new folder called 'blue'.

  The trick is to know that there are some hidden (from the point of view customer VI) folders that you need to know to make it work.

My programs (start > all programs) have been removed and deleted the shortcuts on the desktop. When I go to my computer, my personal and shared document files are not accessible. Under the description it says that they are hidden. My local disk (c) is also empty, but there is still very little space which suggests that programs and files have not been deleted.

  MoHlog.txt file is related to the software of modem on the computer, you can uninstall and reinsta it check if it works.

  Also scan your computer for any infection by virus still present on the computer using any scanner online.

  You can also try the system restore to the point before that the computer has been infected by the virus and check if it helps.

  Why did you even have to activate the account invited in the first place? It is disabled by default for a very good reason security - it allows anonymous access on your computer.

  Turn it off immediately.

  If you want to grant the occasional access to your computer for visitors, create a Standard user account and call it 'Visitor' or somesuch.

  Do NOT use the guest account.

  I'm having difficulties writing a powercli script to create a file on a data store... we have a mixture of guests ESX 3.5, 4.0 and 4.1, using data storage mounted via NFS.

  For work I do, I need to:

  (1) create a folder on a data store (check that the folder does not already exist).

  2) navigate to the folder

  (3) and check if a particular file exists in this folder.

  The problem is that the context of my current position makes the code does not. the get-location method returns "C:\temp\ESX", being the record that I run the test script to. I try to use set-card with various settings to try to change the location of a particular data store, but it does not yet work-get-location returns "C:\temp\ESX".

  I think that the code for step 3) above is ok, but I can't get any code to work for) 1 and 2).

  You must use the vimdatastore provider to access your data warehouses.

  It is documented in vSphere PowerCLI Administration Guide, which is installed on the PC where you installled PowerCLI.

  You can use the 'normal' cmdlets to navigate, test and create folders.

  For example:

  CD vmstore:

  LS # will show the upper level

  CD MyDatastore\MyFolder # navigate with the alias "cd".

  test-path MonAutreDossier # check the existence of a folder or file

  mkdir test # create a folder

  Just bought a new SC4020.  Did not come with any docs but I finally found an online deployment guide.  I have completed prejoin via a serial connection information and two controllers have successfully started.  Connected to the UI, the admin password and loaded correctly in the license file.  Next step is to create a folder on drive.  All disks are selected by default, so I clicked on continue and that's it.  The gui is frozen and you can't do anything except close the window (which if you do, a pop up tells you that the installation is incomplete).  So, what to do next?  It takes a long time to create a folder on drive?  The only thing I noticed is that my first 12 RI SSD drives are listed in the UI as an unknown type.  The second group of 12 disks is listed as type 10 k (which is correct).

  Thought I would try the forum first, before I connect to a support work.

  You may want to upgrade the code on the SC4020 so that the system will use these SSD drives. That is why the wizard will not let move you forward when the disks are selected.

  Just tried history file for the first time, using the external drive. Files are entered in a folder called 'data' which I can't navigate simply numbers in there is no files or folders. I can get the drive, if I know the file name, and it is located and displayed in read-only format. What is happening and why I can't navigate to files?

  The history of the files makes many many copies of files, so that you can navigate the versions of the files.  You have created a file on Monday, and you open the file and change it daily.  Today (Friday), you would have 5 version of this file, one for each day in the history of your file.  If browsing it in the folder of file is not possible or recommended, because of the way it stores data to enable this feature.

  To navigate through your backup history file, open the control panel of the file history (where you set the parameters), then click on "Restore personal files" on the top left.
