creating transparent .gif background

Greetings,

Working on photo and want to create an image of the subject, leaving a transparent background.  Is it possible to use the paint bucket tool to achieve this?

mjohn

The bottom must be a solid color that is not part of the object. In the color scheme in the web dialog box save for you can set to transparency.

    Hello

    I am having some problems with the creation of gifs transparent.

    I'm creating a box with a single color in it w / the opacity to 30%, but when I save it as gif, it makes it completely opaque.

    I would like to save it as a gif file, but still making a little transparent.

    Is this only possible with PNG files?

    Thank you advance...

    Is this only possible with PNG files?

    Yes.

    You can simulate transparency by opaque pixels have some background in them color. But as soon as you change your background color, it will look wrong.

    Or you can procrastinate transparency (but this is usually quite horrible).

    Basically, translucency can be in GIF format.

  • Cannot change the part of the transparent GIF background

    I'm using Fireworks CS3 (Windows).

    I started with 3 elements - logo, text "WISR" and text "Announcements" - and created a PNG file (see below and attached files).

    I'm changing the background behind the logo and the text "WISR" to be transparent, but it won't change - he's stuck on white (FFFFFF).

    Note: The area behind the 'announcements' text is set to transparent.

    Any ideas on how to change the entire background transparent?

  • How can I keep my visible background layer when you create a GIF file in Adobe Photoshop elements 11?

    I am trying to create a GIF in Adobe Photoshop elements 11.  To give you the objective of the final result - I am trying to create the illusion of dog legs walking on a yellow background.  Each image individual leg is a separate layer on the yellow background.  I want my background layer to ALWAYS show during the animation.  In ADDITION, I want each paw image to stay on the yellow background that he hosts (if possible).  Here are the steps that I took:

    1. I have my background layer (yellow background)
    2. I layered all the other images on the top (8 paw print images)
    3. I placed these images where I want them on the background layer

    I know that to create a GIF file, I go to 'Save the image for the web', select GIF and click "animate".  The problem is when I preview the animation, it's a single image at a time, instead of the overlay and keeping them on the screen as the animation progresses.

    At the very least, I want the yellow background to show during the animation.  I can live with that if the paw prints don't stay on ;-)

    I would appreciate any insight/help!  Thank you!

    I think that you need to merge each layer with your yellow background, and then try again the gif.

    In other words, put the yellow background under each layer and merge the top layer with the yellow background.

  • get an image within a created CSS of background transparency to NOT be transparent

    I created a div with a partially transparent background color.  Which works very well.  But inside this div, I placed an image and that the image is also partially transparent, which I don't want.  I want the image to 100% opaque.  I've tried and failed with a variety of styles.

    Here's the CSS that makes the partially transparent background color.

    {#home - text
    Width: 873px;
    margin-right: auto;
    left margin: auto;
    Color: #000;
    background-color: #E4CC92;
    / * for IE * /.
    Filter:alpha(opacity=70);
    / * Standard CSS3 * /.
    opacity: 0.7;
    top of the margin: 725px.
    padding-top: 10px;
    padding-left: 35px;.
    padding-right: 10px;
    padding-bottom: 20px;
    do-family: Arial, Helvetica, without serif.
    make-weight: normal;
    do-size: 12px;
    border: 2px solid #421206;

    }

    Thanks for any help.

    I'm afraid of the opacity effects throughout the Interior of the container.

    To work around the problem, apply a semi-transparent PNG background image to your container.  This will give the 'see through' effect without degrading the opacity on text & images.

  • Best way to edit on a white background and a transparent gif

    I have a picture that I bought, but need to make a gif. He already has a white background, but when I use the magic wand he has chopped bits of the edge of the image.

    Is there an easier way of white out of this editing context and make a transparent gif?

    I use Adobe Photoshop CS2

    Image is attached to take a peek.

    Thanks, I appreciate help with this.

    Nick

    Set the magic wand tool to have a tolerance of 0 and contiguous selected and click on the background. Is it as pure white then it should select it, if not then click some more or increase the tolerance value a little bit.

  • transparent GIF to flash

    I am trying to export these gif with transparency and I always get the background with transparency selected in the publication settings. Did someone know a way to remove the bottom and just a transparent gif?

    I just found a method so that you can export your Flash animation in an animated gif with transparency. What I've done, it is create a folder, and then export as a png sequence. Then you go in select of Abobe Bridge all png images in your folder in Photoshop select bridge > tools > load files into layers. Once you are in Photoshop discover the Calendar dialog box, pull down the arrow in the upper right and make images of layers. If you like at this point you can select all the images in the menu drop-down arrow in the upper right of the dialog box. Then select an image for the duration of the framework, which will define all frames to this durarion. Then choose the number of times you want told. Once you have as you just want to save for the Web and in the Web dialog box select gif. Now you have your animated with transparent background gif.

  • help please: Transparent Gif and Png

    I have my name written in black text on a transparent background.  I tried to save it as a transparent gif or png using Save for devices and Matt: No.  But no matter what I try, it seems that good on a white background.  Otherwise, it has the effect of halo rough around the black letters.  There must be something that I miss, and I would greatly appreciate some advice.  It can't be that hard to have just a word appears as black text no matter what color it is.  Can anyone help?

    On the other hand, I see similar questions responded a lot with advice as "just change the matte color to match the background color," Yes, I know it works.  But which defeats the purpose of transparency.  If I need my name appear on 10 different pages with 10 different horizons, so I shouldn't need to create 10 different images.  That's what transparency is supposed to relieve, Yes?

    You save it as a PNG 24 bit?

    A layer of black or dark with the signature as a transparency mask should work.  Assuming you have the dark signature on a white background.

    1. use the rectangle and copy the signature.

    2 - new file to create a new image to the size of the copied signature (default Clipboard).

    3. layer - new fill layer - solid, color make it black.

    4. the layer will give a default layer mask.

    5. in the palette layers, the color channel fill 1 current mask.

    6. paste in your signature.

    7 image - Adjustments - invert the colors (so black is white and white is black).

    8 remove the background layer.

    9 save as a 24-bit PNG.

    You should be able to come up with something like this partially transparent PNG:

  • How to create hotspots on background image?

    Hi, is there a way to create a hotspot with a link (or something that does the same job) on a background image?

    Thank you!

    Hello

    Simple answer, no.

    You can create a transparent gif 'empty' to go above your background image and set your hotspot in it.

  • How separate and rotate the pieces of an object to create a GIF file in after affects?

    Here is the image that I work with...pokeball original template.jpg

    I want to make this object rotation 90 ° tight in After Effects and then separate. If you're wondering why I put this up in Photoshop, it's because I need to have this model in most other 2, and half top from the bottom half and button, both turned 90 degrees [preference to the right] in order to create the GIF. I need these 3 pieces before I can even consider to create the GIF in After Effects... so if someone either wants to try and do for me or to try and help me do mine, either one would be extremely useful

    Don't worry not guys, I actually found the answer on my own what I needed was to split the image into 3 files, something I'd probably have to do anyway to export and import the images easier and turning both top and bottom half images here is what I have right now (by the removal of the background)thanks for trying to help... but I think I'm ready to switch to After effects with this one, the reason why I'm moving it to legacy is simply because I understand simple movement/animation already... If you're curious about what I plan to do with these images, the full ball will be sitting in a hole in my border, turn a high of 90 degrees to the right and then be replaced by the two half images, down it fades slowly out while the upper part is raised off the screen to the right... it's a fancy reveal for my upcoming with new project

  • Creating a gif file which is a progression of the filter effects

    I want to take a single image and create a gif from what is a sequence of images with a particular filter effect Photoshop from a maximum to zero effect.  For example, a Gaussian filter.  The initial frame would have a heavy Gaussian filter applied and the last image would have no filter applied.  I want that effect might take one or two seconds with 10 to 20 frames per second.

    I can't imagine this will be negligible or easy... This isn't my question.  My question is if anyone has suggestions on how to optimize the workflow in creating this effect.

    I'm a programmer and I did photoshop programs javascript in the past so far distant that could help, but I don't know if this project requires this level of effort.

    Thank you for your time,

    pedzsan

    All this image to a gif file is the combination of composite layer.  A composite can be a single layer. So, make a layer. He fooled 20 times. Set 19 layer with 19 different setting of a particular filter. Then in the timeline palette, click make image animation.  Then in the drop-down palette, click on images made of layers. Then use save for web to save the animated gif.

  • Help to create a gif animated for a navigation bar!

    Hey guys, I'm very new to Fireworks and dreamweave and I encounter a problem that makes my head spin! I need to create a simple animated .gif to a navigation bar (which will be published in dreamweaver). The navigation bar are as follows: http://www.eden.rutgers.edu/~baronson/ITI320/Exercise2/functionality.html. Essentially, all that happens is I create this animated picture and in dreamweaver, when I create the navigation bar of AP, I updated the mouseover this image. My problem is that, compared to the image mouseover of the website ( http://www.eden.rutgers.edu/~baronson/ITI320/Exercise2/images/navi/audience_OVER.gif ) animated my gif has several layers and States, where, as its only has a single layer. I can't seem to find a way to include both text and gif image and incorporate them into the same layer.

    A follow-up to the issue after finding the way to integrate them both in the same State, I should catch every piece of my animated gif for the individual State, that I want it be applied?

    Any help/pointer to where the information would be greatly appreciated. I have read through the manuals and watched a lot of videos of Babbage, but were not able to understand this. Thank you!

    Your gif didn't need to have several layers, but he needs to have several States. To save you a lot of confusion, first create animated gifs, and then export them. Create your navigation bar in the usual way, with simple images, rolloveres or swap. The navigation bar on export. Rename the gifs animated with the names of most of the State of the navigation bar images and then remove (or mone to another folder) more images of the State navigation bar. Move the gif animations in the navigation bar image file. Preview in the browser. The animated gifs should have replaced the original state of the buttons.
