I go to the Adobe website in the downloads section, to see about how to manually download the latest version, but instead to get a link to download Photoshop, it gives me a link to download the installer of creative cloud. Fine. I have download the package, open the disk image and run the Setup program. It starts to download the cloud creative desktop application (which I have apparently already), get about halfway the progress bar before disappearing without a trace. Since then, I tried following the instructions to uninstall Photoshop manually by running the uninstall program in the Utilities folder. He tells me that you need to download the installer of creative cloud, and I am at square one.

  Stephen, the only other suggestion, I then would be to examine the logs of download for specific errors. You can find details on how to locate the download logs to error download and installation of the creative cloud application.

  You can also check for a Setup log, but I don't think you're able to get that far in the process.  You can find details on how to locate and interpret logs to installation troubleshooting install problems with log files. CC. feel free to post specific errors you find in any log in this discussion.  If you can identify which log file, it comes it can help with the process of interpretation.

  Finally can you confirm that you completed all the steps listed in the "failed to install" error Creative Cloud Desktop application?  He solved a similar behavior to others in the past.
