  You can not buy CS5. Adobe sells only current products, i.e. CS6 or creative cloud. Creative cloud is a subscription model, which means that you rent the software as long as you want to use.

I tried to run Photoshop and a pop-up message asked me to renew my subscription even though to my knowledge, the subscription will end only in 2 months.   Steverb2 if your trial period is shown as expired so I recommend to evaluate the software on another computer.  Please see software Adobe trial expired at the beginning - http://forums.adobe.com/thread/981369 for possible reasons that your trial period may have expired in the beginning.  There is no method available to extend an expired trial.
