Critical event

I have a HP/Compaq dc5850-SFF, AMD Phenom 8600 B 2.3 GHZ, AMD 780V, Windows Vista business. It's a work computer and when I come back from a break that long enough that he goes to the standby screen, then I sign back in, after a minute, I get "Windows has encountered a critical event and restarts in a minute. I don't get the other error codes. I wonder if the BONE is damaged. He re - starts ok but this is still not good. Any ideas?

Laurent

  • Portege R930 - 4 critical events - 41 core power

    Hello
After a BSOD on my R930 I found a series of 4 events reviews in the last 3 weeks, all sources: Kernel Power, event 41.
The last event has shown the following detailed information:

    Any help appreciated.

    Kind regards

Don't worry about the power of the nucleus, it simply means that the BIOS is in power instead of Windows control.

If you can find the BSOD STOP code and the system file that caused the accident, you can determine which driver need updated or deleted, or if it is a hardware failure.

  • Critical MD3200 - error - component of the expansion enclosure failed or removed

    Hello

I have an error reported by MDSM. I rarely reboot this device, but when I do this error is reported within 24 hours, gets immediately authorized and does not return. So far. Restarted Monday and this error appeared and disappeared three times now (once every 24 hours even if the time is not uniform). This is the dump log for the last appearance:

    Date/time: 20/03/14 00:05:20

    Sequence number: 7838
    Type of event: 280D
    Event category: internal
    Priority: critical
    Event needs attention: true
    Alert to send event: true
    Visibility of the event: true
Description: Pregnant Expansion component has failed or deleted
    Specific event codes: 0/0/0
Type of component: component speaker (EMM GBIC/SFP, power supply and fan)
Location of components: attachment 1, Slot 2
Recorded by: at location 0 RAID Controller Module

He got settled in less than seconds with no appreciable effect on storage, which was under a minimum load.

    Should I be worried?

    Thank you

    Stuart

    Hi Stuart,

The error you are getting is a reference to an error with the expansion enclosure that is connected to your MD3200.  The error is in the first connected to your MD3200 MD1200.  I would check all of your connections on the MD1200 & make sure all are tight & secure.  If you still get the error after reinstalling all connections then I would shoot a beam of support and I can review it for you.

Please let us know if you have any other questions.

  • PowerEdge R720 remove individual event

Hi everyone, our monitoring system (pulls that openmanage info) has a critical event on it, that I know is very well, she is treated.

Now, I know I could erase the whole journal using the iDrac omconfig or, but I would rather just delete this unique event, leaving the other intact events on the box. He'll go to a syslog server in the future but for now it is not configured to do this, then I will lose not rather past events.

Someone know a way to remove a single event or have I not option here but to clear entire log?

    Thank you.

    KB73,

Currently, there is not a way to remove an event individually in the journal of materials. This is due to the information in question lies in the ESM chip, thus actively recovered by OMSA. So that being said, even if you change the OMSA file created with the ESM inside newspaper, basically when you restart OMSA he would rewrite all changes you made in the file and display the error again. The only option you have is to make a backup of the newspaper for "SEO" as you said, but then just erasing the log after you saved.

Let me know if that answers your question.

  • R820 critical e-mail alerts

    Hello

We have about 40 x R820 and the r720 in our fleet and have noticed that recently that no email alerts don't arise when a critical alert is logged on a system for example problem or power supply loss memory etc..

When looking under Alerts we entered the smtp recipients to be alerted and a trial will send an e-mail very well, but also notice that there is a section (alerts and Configuration of remote system logs) where there is an email column and check boxes that are disabled.

So, I understand that if we want alerts email for any critical event, then the boxes need to be selected?

Is there a way to make this mass for 40 + servers for all the critical alerts, or is it to make the grind on each box and manually selecting each email alert?

I don't think that you can add a qualifier after all. If you want to set only critical then I think that you have to define each category separately. Here is a white paper to perform this configuration using OME out racadm commands via the command file. It should make it much easier to make all these changes with several racadm commands.

  • EM Event: WARNING: < database Instance - > officer down

    Hello

by modernizing the plugins for the Patch Bundle WHO 12 and applying the BP on agents, I get a lot of emails with this issue - namely, a mail of each database instance and each listener running on the host computer.

Content of the email is the following:
    Host = < host name >
Target = Instance of database type
Name of the target = < database name >
    Categories = availability
    Message = Agent down
    Severity = warning
    ...
    Availability status Agent down
Rule name = database availability and critical States, target availability event rule
    Owner rule = SYSMAN

Blackout on the host leads to WHO is not unable to do the upgrades - obviously an agent of blackout is not able to do. Wait what puzzles me in the rule mentioned in the letter, the incidents should only be created for the target type being down (i.e. for the instance database when the database is out of service and so on) as one.

I'd rather not down all targets on a host UNLESS the agent because it does not age with our number of hosts and dbs, does anyone know what rule is responsible for the position and how they could be removed temporarily effectively?

Also, please change your notification rules and subscribe to only mortals/critical events that will prevent this notification to database with the officer down.

We are working on the event agent sends do not first place.

  • WMI response is slow

    Hello

I wrote a VB script that will return me a list of critical events received the day before. I use the script to collect the events of 30 + servers. All servers give me the list of events in a few minutes, but a single server takes a long time to return. The same question was earlier with many servers. But he got is solved when I restarted the WMI service on the servers. I tried the same thing on this server, but there was no improvement. I would like to know what I should do to improve the performance of this Server WMI response. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

  • Beep on startup instead of sound error

Original title: beep instead of his mistake

Hi, I had a new problem with my 2nd laptop.
The problem is difficult to solve.
    My sound card, all right.
I can hear the sound very well.
But the problem is, I hear BIOS Boot sound-"beep!" ING in place
the system error sound (like when you type "abcdefg" in its execution, low piano dating
    Msg error of brand X).
    That's the problem I got.
That his error is the problem.
My sound card driver is good.
How can I solve this problem?

    Very well.

Most of the sounds THAT XP are configurable.

Click Start, settings, Control Panel, sounds and Audio devices and look under the sounds tab.

Look in the events section of the program.

When you type abcdefg in start, run, and then click OK, XP should play the sound associated with the event called critical shutdown.

Select the critical event program to stop and see what .wav file is associated with that event.  The files are usually in the c:\windows\media folder to be able to change the audio file of your choice in this folder.

Click on the small black arrow to read the sound associated with the criticism-Stop event and what you hear?

    It will usually be on:

    Windows XP stop critique.wav

If this is not the case, edit and save the changes.  You can simply choose any sound you like in the list of .wav files drop-down sounds and listen to it and if you wish, you can click OK to save.  If you don't like it, leave it alone or choose another.

When I get new mail, instead of the new sound of mail (the default is new Mail Notification.wav), I have Homer Simpson saying "mail!"  The mail is here! ».  Sometimes I change it to a song of cock.

If your Windows XP stop critique.wav file is missing or is somehow his right when you play, I can download one on my SkyDrive and you can download it and replace it.

Check them all!  Change them all!  Some events have no sound, but you can assign a sound to all of these events or change an any of them.

  • Unable to turn off the computer, it will restart every time in Windows Vista.

Original title: portable computer complete crash

I am running Windows Vista Home Premium on HP Pavilion DV2208e.
A week using Adobe Photoshop Lightroom, the screen went black and all the lights on the laptop has continued. I tried to stop the laptop by pressing the power button, but it did not work. The only way to stop the laptop was to unplug the power cord. The next morning, that I started it again, with a notice "Windows did not close properly, how you want to proceed.» I opted for "start Windows normally". It seems to work very well, with the expection that the date had re-fixed at the date where Vista was installed first of all a few years ago. Later, when I tried to stop the laptop by choosing from the menu start 'Shut down', the laptop shuts down normally, but then 2-3 seconds more later handed on himself. I tried several times and it's always the same, the way to stop it is by pressing the power button, then whenever it restarts it new note that Windows not stop correctly. Also the black screen crash turned up almost every two days.

I tried reinstalling antivirus and did a full scan. Also used ccleaner and décliqués "Automatically restart" in the advanced system settings. But nothing seems to have worked so far.

In computer management, I can see critical events that seem to correspond to the time when the black screen error occurred. They say the following:
The last sleep transition was unsuccessful. This error can be caused if the system unresponsive, failed, or loss of power during the transition from sleep
