R820 critical e-mail alerts

Hello

We have about 40 x R820 and the r720 in our fleet and have noticed that recently that no email alerts don't arise when a critical alert is logged on a system for example problem or power supply loss memory etc..

When looking under Alerts we entered the smtp recipients to be alerted and a trial will send an e-mail very well, but also notice that there is a section (alerts and Configuration of remote system logs) where there is an email column and check boxes that are disabled.

So, I understand that if we want alerts email for any critical event, then the boxes need to be selected?

Is there a way to make this mass for 40 + servers for all the critical alerts, or is it to make the grind on each box and manually selecting each email alert?

THX,

John Bradshaw

I don't think that you can add a qualifier after all. If you want to set only critical then I think that you have to define each category separately. Here is a white paper to perform this configuration using OME out racadm commands via the command file. It should make it much easier to make all these changes with several racadm commands.

  • E-mail alerts for CPU and use of HD

    All,

New here and new to the foglight software. I had this project dumped in my lap with very little knowledge about what I'm getting into.

We have a handful of VMware servers, that we would like to get email alerts.

I got regarding the grouping of these servers in a "service".

Now, I need to make a few specific rules to receive alerts email for two situations:

    (1) when the virtual computer CPU usage exceeds 80% for more than 30 seconds.

    (2) when the available disk space is less than 20%.

Can anyone help? Point me to another position?

Let me know if you need more details.

    Thanks for the tips.

The rule for in-car use is "VMW Virtual Machine use reader logic" with these 3 variables like warning/criticism/fatal levels that you can change

The rule for the CPU usage is VMW CPU usage of virtual machine with these 3 variables like warning/criticism/fatal levels that you can change

Insofar as the e-mail alerts, you can get them directly for all vmware alerts by setting the VMAdmin registry variable, or you can set the e-mail on the service parameters in the function generator

    I hope this helps.

  • Smartphones blackBerry delayed Voice Mail Alerts BlackBerry Storm 9550

For about a month I received Voice Mail alert hours, days, or sometimes not at all (and find that several messages rates graft in VM). I don't know if it's a matter of BlackBerry, or if I need to contact Verizon Wireless.

It seems to happen when I'm using the email or online, and I have no idea that there is an incoming call (often more important than what I do).  Yesterday, I received a call at 8:30 and got a new warning at 14:20 it was a call from important business.  This happened several times lately.  What I need to change a setting on my camera, or...?  I've had the phone for almost two years, and it is a relatively new problem.

Hello and welcome to the community!

Whatever the root cause of the problem, your only formal channel for support is done by VZW. They are responsible for all of your formal support and will degenerate case RIM if they can't solve it.

But VM services are all part of your telephone services; they are not related to your services at the level of the BB. To contact the Association would remain the appropriate path. However, as a customer of the previous Association, I can attest that too often VM notifications go all wobbly with them.

    Good luck!

  • Unable to turn off the e-mail alert tone

New iPhone of my husband has the alert tone new message on 'None', but every time he gets an email, the tone of 'Note' dings. It is very annoying because he gets a lot of emails and the phone is constantly hanging. We tried to change the tone, then change back. We tried to close the phone, then restart. Nothing seems to make a difference. Any ideas?

Have more than one e-mail account on the phone? If so, one of the other accounts can always be on a tone. Go to settings > Notifications > Mail and check.

  • Mail alert sounds

What could cause me to hear the alerts for only some incoming mail, but not for others? (I can't say I've really that weakened but it seems that the mail with no sounds are close friends and parents and individuals or the company that I don't receive alerts.)

Mail does not distinguish source of your mail.

The sound depends on your speaker volume and if you have all the other sounds coming out of these speakers of same - it can get lost in the mix.

  • Schedule e-mail alerts are sent to the wrong email address

When I create an event in the calendar, and then select a custom alert I chose a 'send e-mail' and select an e-mail address and a time so he could send the alert. Which works very well. The problem is when I get the e-mail, the e-mail address alert 'From' is not the one I want it to be sent to (it is a professional e-mail address and it is private alerts). The event I create is a calendar to iCloud and not a work schedule.

Work email is a Google (IMAP) account, the address I send alerts to is a pop I have also an IMAP to iCloud account.

I would like alerts to go on the POP account as they do now, but I would like to be sent from the same POP account or the account iCloud and not Google work account.

I have been looking everywhere for how to define which e-mail account, a calendar alert is sent by e-mail-nothing helped. Any help would be appreciated.

Currently using OS X 10.11.4 but he was doing it before I upgraded to El Capitan.

    Hey David Casemore,.

I understand that you encounter unexpected behavior in the mail. You can watch your mail preferences to see which account is set as a default "send new messages of" account:

  • How to disable e-mail Alerts send birthday?

Well, recently I noticed that my mail app tried to send alerts to myself, but today, I had just enough with it. It's the first time, he got this bad (see photo):

Is there an option I can switch to make him stop doing that? I didn't even want to send notifications and alerts by e-mail in the first place.

You set the schedule for notifications by e-mail of birthdays. In the calendar list, do a right click or Ctrl-click on the calendar of birthdays and select info from the context menu. In the sheet that appears, check that ignore the alerts.

  • Critical BIOS update alert would have been the center of Support of Dell, but a Publisher not identified.

When I started my computer this morning (I'm in the United Kingdom), I was greeted by an alert, would have been to support Dell saying that my laptop needed a critical BIOS update. When I went by the initial movements of download 1525_A16.exe, I found that it came from an unknown Publisher, so I do not run. Has anyone else had this disturbing alert?

My laptop is a Dell Inspiron 1525 and I am running Vista.

    Dear red dawn

Thank you for taking the time to respond and to locate the update that appears to be true after all. Seeing that it was an update of the critical BIOS from an unknown Publisher, I was extremely suspicious to say the least. and in fact, I thought that it must contain a virus.

If it wasn't such a business, put in touch with Dell, now that my warranty has expired, I would give them a piece of my mind.

    Thank you once again

  • Windows Live Mail Alert Message

While my computer is turned on and Windows Live Mail runs in the background, I get an alert "invalid server certificate.

saying "the server you're connected uses a security certificate that cannot be verified."

"A required certificate is not within its validity period.

    When

verification against the current system clock or the

    timestamp in

    the signed file

You want to continue using this server? ».

My internet provider has not changed for some time.

Why would I receive this message, with no indication as to what server?

This means that the server certificate has expired.  They would need to renew.

  • Is it possible to change the source of e-mail alerts interface created by the ASA?

    Hello

We have configured our ASA to send alerts by e-mail of events such as the connection, it works very well between our ASA and the mail server that is contacted through the 'inside' interface, however we tried to configure it to an another ASA on a remote site that is connected via a VPN from site to site , the problem is when the ASA remote attempts to send an email to our email server, it uses the source IP address of the external interface, we need to use the source IP address of the inside of the interface so that it is sent over the VPN. Is there a way to configure that?

Now when the ASA attempts by e-mail to our mail server, it uses the source interface IP from outside because he see this interface, as the output of the interface accordingly of the email does not get sent over the VPN.

    Thank you

If the remote mail server is available on the VPN site-to site, I don't think that you can configure the ASA for him come traffic one interface other than the one with a route to the remote server. And it will only encrypt in VPN tunnel packets that arrive on the interface where the card encryption is applied (i.e. inside of an interface).

You could mail proxy or set up a redirection on your local mail server rule.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones no chimes e-mail alerting me to new emails.

I checked it again and again but still can not understand why I have no alert when I get an email.  I put a ringtone, it is not on mute and my chimes work text, then why isn't my work E-mail carillon?  First of all, they worked when I initially activated it today, but now it does not work.

    Any ideas?

When you go to advanced, you should see several profiles.  You can change each of them, but you want to.  Open the assets and change.  In the list that opens, you should see the parameters for each application which gives notifications.  Click on the one that says 'Messages' and your email next to him address.  There you can set everything to "case" and "out of case."

  • helps e-mail alert

    Hello

As administrator of the foglight of my business environment I recently was charged with establishing a monitoring to another area of the company. Currently all monitoring Setup was for applications that support of my team, so the global email address is defined for the mailbox of our teams.

Given that the new servers went live we of course receive all alerts for them as well. I created a service and set the email addresses for their support of box etc, so that they receive service alerts, but we are still receiving them because of the overall mail.recipient pointing to our mailbox.

We don't care of these alerts, and all they do is spam/fill our box.

What can I do to stop the alerts for this (9 guests, 18 officers of newspaper filter, a handful of agents weblogic and 5 monitor app) to come to the box of mail.recipient global service?

Thank you very much for all the solutions, I suspect that it is something very basic, but I'm new to Foglight and learning that I will unfortunately.

    See you soon,.

    Robin

Each rule has an e-mail action that is triggered by the alert.

    You could:

    • Create a separate department that owns all the older components as members and set your regular e-mail for this service address.  You could then change the recipient of the message to a different mailbox.
  • Activate the e-mail server (SMTP) for e-mail alerts

    Hello

When installed and configured on server 11.1.1.2.3 Sun didn't us set up setup mail server (SMTP).

Now, we need to send alerts by e-mail.

Is there a place to set the SMTP information?   Or we need to re-run the configtool.sh, knowing that all the other components are working well?

    Thank you

Re-run the EMP configurator and select Foundation > common settings > enter SMTP information.

    See you soon
