  I have an existing application that uses Crystal reports 5 (I know it's old). I installed it a couple of times on Windows 7 without any problem. The last two sites are different: CRW installs and runs, but when I try to print a report Windows pushes me with an open 'Microsoft Access Session' dialog box with username "Admin" and password box. Cannot go beyond this no matter what I do. I've installed exactly the same way each time, checked the presence and versions of all the files .dll and other evidence, but can find no difference between facilities that work and those that are not. • Missing NTLDR reported in Windows XP SP3 and SATA disks only

  Two days ago my PC refuses to start and I got the error NTLDR not found. Press CTRL ALT DEL to restart. My computer got only SATA hard drives and these are not detected by my Windows XP CDROM for a reboot to CD. The system reports no disk found.

  I am able to get my PC running using the HIRENS boot disk. This isn't a permanent solution and I need help to get back on track again.

  Can I just start my PC using HIREN and then insert the Windows CDROM and use the following commands at the CMD window BACK line?

  COPY C: X:i386NTDETECT.com

  Where X is the letter of the CD ROM drive

  Then restart my PC and this work? I don't want to ruin my system so I need some advice please.

  You cannot and should not attempt to use a any forms on Windows 8.1 or newer version at this time.  Yes, this is not supported, but in addition there are known problems with the help of more recent than 7 versions of Windows.  Win8.1 certification testing is underway.  Once completed and final approval, the matrix certification forms/reports will be updated with details.  These details likely will include information on the patches required and/or configurations.  Monitor the forms/States 11.1.2.2 Certification Matrix for the latest information.

  My XP VM disk space had been created to 12 GB for quite some time, because of the small hard drive of the MBP. Now that there are a lot of available space on a larger drive, I have reset disk space 30 GB settings. Merger executed change and all looks as it should in the revised arrangements. BUT in the Windows virtual machine, using Explorer or a third-party file manager, the system reports I've used 10.5 GB of space, which is true and that there are 1.5 GB free, which, I hope, is not. It should be 21.5 GB free.

  What you were doing was just resize the virtual HARD disk (you can see the new size in the Disk Manager). In order to use the extra space in your virtual Windows machine, you also have the opportunity to extend the Windows partition. You can do that using a tool third 3rd like gparted or - if you have - a Windows 7 DVD, start in recovery mode and use diskpart to extend the partition.

  I have a 2nd hand Toshiba Satellite 1605cds/4.3 (amd k6-2 450 mhz basic system).
  It has 32 MB of ram on board and a dimm slot - so put in a memory of 128 MB.

  where it says it can be improved with a 256 MB memory module!

  I have it plugged in and it correctly sees 288 MB (32 MB onboard 256 MB on housing) in the bios.
  When I boot from the partition of Windows 98 Second edition, it shows the 288 amount of ram.

  .. .but when I boot on the partition of Windows 2000 Professional, it displays a blue screen saying that the bios is not an improved ACPI bios. It says that I have to push the F7 key during the installation of Windows 2000 to disable ACPI and install HAL.

  But if I remove the 256 MB slot, Windows 2000 starts correctly without any problem.

  I tried to reinstall Windows 2000 by pushing the F7 key during installation, but then Windows 2000 shows that the 32 MB of ram.

  So, what can I do to run Windows 2000 and 256 MB module?
  The bios is the last that can be downloaded on the web page of toshiba.
