  Hello, I wanted to update my power supply and the video card. I would get the PSU is the SeaSonic S12II 620 Bronze 620W (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817151096&Tpk=17-151-096) but I didn't know if my computer could manage and keep the power supply. The video card, I would get is the EVGA 01 G-P3-1561-AR GeForce GTX 560 Ti (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130604) but I'm not sure that my computer can handle that too.   Your computer will be able to 'manage' the two, and the power supply does not seem like it would be that what should be in your computer right now. Looking at your motherboard it looks like not there is no interference with other ports, so that should be good.

  Now I don't have internal to your computer, but since gunfire although it might come with a GTX 260 which would be of a similar size to a 560Ti I would say you should be fine as long as you know what you're doing.

  I try to play a legitimate, belonging to DVD, but Windows Media Player 12 will not play on my computer Windows 7 Professional.  The DVD worked a few days ago, but all of a sudden, I get the following error message:

  I did a lot of research of these forums and on the ' net.  Here are the suggested steps I tried without success:

  • I tried VLC player.  This works.  However, rather than use this workaround, I wish to find a solution to my problem WMP/WMC.
  • I tried several DVD for years over the last decade.  These DVD works on my laptop, also running Windows 7 Professional and the shark 007 codec.
  • I uninstalled my Shark 007 codec
  • I tried other codecs (K-Lite)
  • I assured that the latest drivers are installed on my video card, XFX ATI Radeon 5850
  • I tried to uninstall Nero 9
  • I tried to use the Windows 7 troubleshooting options:
  • > Reading and burning CD, DVD and Blu - ray (no problem)
  • > Windows Media Player DVD (no problem)
  • > Windows Media Player Settings (detects a problem, wants to restore factory settings, every time, no matter what happens)
  • A system restore to a time when the DVD was working did not resolve the issue
  • The different links in Microsoft, I found in this forum about this problem do not seem to be useful.  There is a link that points to the set-top boxes, but this page just says: "Windows 7 comes with a decoder.
  • I assured the latest driver is available by going to "Device Manager", right click on the drive, then click on "update driver software".
  • I assured that the latest firmware is installed directly from the manufacturer's website.
  • I tried to reset my DRM by renaming the DRM under C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows folder and by going to this Web site to upgrade:http://drmlicense.one.microsoft.com/Indivsite/en/indivit.asp?force=1
  • I've uninstalled and reinstalled Windows Media Player 12 and Windows Media Center via the function "functionality in Windows.

  I would be very grateful if a Microsoft technology could chime.  Thanks for your help!

  OK, I bought my GeForce 8600GTS on my Dell Dimension 5150. It came with a power cable so I plug two supply cables optical drive into the video card, but if I plug in the power cable, I have no power to my cd player so I can't use it.

  The power of two male cable heads are not separated, they're attached to them, so I can not join just a head for the video card and the other on the cd player because it would not be long enough. I can buy a Belkin power extension cable, but I'm afraid that the power of cd drive will conflict with the power of the video card. I won't buy another power supply, because just to use my cd player. Any suggestions?

  What brand of PSU to replace the original one with? For a station of high-end such as yours I would use nothing less than an OCZ, PC Power & cooling or Corsair power SUPPLY block.

  Have you tried to install just the WHQL driver for the card instead of the complete package?

  I would also consider RMA-ing on the map. There are many individual who had artifacts and the stability of the problems with this particular card. See the NVIDIA forums and search for your card and Windows 7 as keywords.

• I built a new system. Transferred to the hard drive and video card, but everything else is new. Restart Windows as it begins to start. I can get into safe mode and found event id 7026 and event id 7001 in the event viewer.

  As mentioned above, this is a new system, but with a more older IDE hard drive with windows xp pack 2 service (I think). When you first start, it says that windows is not stopped correctly and asks me to choose whether to start it normally or without failure or last known working configuration. When I choose to start windows normally, it will load up to a point. The screen of Windows Xp will come with the slide bar. It will then restart. When I choose to start in safe mode, a bunch of 32 file system scrolls upwards on the screen. I don't remember if it of normal or not. He takes over in SafeMode but. I went to the event viewer and got the following errors.

  I did find something online that contains all the system boot or start specific drivers. Windows and harddrive was working in another computer just before he was switched. Let me know if you need other information.

  First of all you are missing probably a number of device drivers, particularly the network card driver and the driver of the motherboard.  Use your XP disk to perform a repair installation.  This should go a long way toward you're going to get.  If your new box has a driver disc that should help a lot.  You can't port XP perfectly the way you did.   It usually requires a repair installation to fix the hardware abstraction layer.   I have a HPE-477 BC and had a chat with technical support session where I was told that the best solution for my model would be to upgrade my PSU 460w and update my videocard to a radeon 4650. This card seems kind of old for me, and I was wondering if my system could handle something like a radeon 5770 if I set to the power supply.  Or is the 4650 really better?

• 700xt envy: envy 700 only improved xt psu and video card

  So I started my pc at home the next day, monitor says going to sleep after tryna find the monitor. There is no power to the mouse or keyboard. Taken to a technician, he said everything is broken, I took it home, replaced my original stock of TG 640 and PSU 300 watt. The computer boots perfectly. Diagnos system check that everything happened.  Im guessing my problem was the aftermarket 550w psu? So I ran on parts stocks until a new power supply came, I then hooked my radeon 6850 with legacy on into the system. It starts very well. Now im getting a problem whenever I start my pc, I get a black screen with no connection with the mouse or the keyboard. SO I have to press the power button and now that I hit the button it turns off sacred now. Usually, you will have to hold the power button to turn off the computer completely. THEN when you restart after it stops it works completely fine. My other problem, if that one is that I would get a blue screen saying auto repair or telling me to connect all devices, SO I would get the same problem as soon as I press the power button to turn it off it stops immediately. On the next reboot, it works very well and it is a problem whenever I start my pc. SO Yes, my computer works fine on the second boot, if it does not start third will work have not had to make 4 boots still

  Please help I spent so much on this pc and its old even not I version of 32 GB of ram
