CS 5.5 crashes on 2010 Macbook Pro

I got a 2010 Macbook Pro with 8 GB of RAM and a nVidia card. CS5 worked a lot on this, but CS5.5 is another story. I can create projects, import a film, save and reopen, but when I add a few items to the timeline, save and close the project or program, the problems begin. First crashes whenever I try to open the project. I tried using different players, different types of sequences, the record as an administrator and a relocation complete. Without success.

I informed the problem Adobe technical support and transferred crash logs from the program and the OS X to display. The really annoying thing is that they promised twice to call me in a few days after knocking the problem to a higher level of technical support, but did not.

Any ideas? I am still able to use CS5 on this machine, but it is extremely annoying that 5.5 is completely useless for me.

Hi Bob,

I sent an email with additional information to the address on file in the case of your support.

Best regards

Chad

  • Mid-2010 Macbook pro crashing

Hello apple support community! I found a few other discussions on the issue, that I care, but I could not solve this problem. I hope someone here can help.

I have mid-2010 Macbook pro 10.10.5 Yosemite running. It keeps crashing and goes to a black screen and then restart itself. I was not able to nail down to a specific part of the software at the source of the problem. I already uninstalled other software I found by searching for BOOT_TIME in the console that was causing the computer to restart. When I searched BOOT_TIME this time and looked at the first crash before the reboot, it says this:

21/12/15 6:43:57.000 PM kernel [0]: Google Chrome it (card: 0xffffff801a9a8d20) triggered DYLD shared region unnest for card: 0xffffff801a9a8d20, 0x7fff88a00000-> 0x7fff88c00000 region. While it is not abnormal for debuggers, this increases the system memory footprint until the target ends.

21/12/15 6:43:59.351 PM Google Chrome support [528]: CGAffineTransformInvert: singular matrix.

Chrome is the origin of the problem? It seems that whenever an accident occurs, it is internet related navigation. Any help is appreciated!

    see you soon

    Pete

The problem is probably due to the discrete GPU failure. Download gfxCardStatus 2.3 and use it to disable the discrete GPU. It is of a temporary workaround until you get your motherboard replaced.

    Oh, get rid of Chrome.

  • Install a video processor in mid-2010 Macbook pro?

    Hello

I'm trying to get my computer to run a video game that says it requires 1 GB of video processing. My 2010 Macbook pro has a NVIDIA GeForce 320 M 256 MB graphics card that I'm sure is a built-in Cardinal Ive read a lot about the possibility of using the integrated or discreet card. I'm not very good with computers, so I'm not exactly what this means entirely, but I'm wanting to know if it is possible to install a new video card or "Amp up" is my current card (for a lack of a better term).

    Thank you very much!

    Sincerely,

    Colby

    In short, no..

You're welcome to try, but the robots controlled by computer performed the critical weld who put the custom-selected graphics chip on the logic board.  The OSX image has the correct drivers for the graphics chip on the logic board.  You must remove and then re - solder a new chip that has the same pinout as the original, then you need the driver for the graphics chip in the OSX image.

Especially on a Board of logic that was never designed to be compatible with the current-technology graph.

  • 2010 macbook pro vs 2011 memory modules

Memory of an Early 2011 MacBook Pro can be used in a model of MacBook Pro Mid 2010. They both have 204 pins memory but the 2011A memory at 1333 MHz so that the 2010 ACE 1066 MHz memory. Would that be a backup swap?

You can exchange, but this probably won't work, and if it works your system will be unstable with a regular kernel panics (crashes). Macs are picky about their speed of ram. If you have the memory, you can simply try to make the Exchange, it won't hurt your system (but you can do a backup just to be safe). If the system works so yay and if it does not then Exchange back memory.

Note that if memory is the same size that I wouldn't bother since there is no advantage gained different memory usage then.

    I hope this helps!

  • 2010 MacBook Pro with El Capitan will not run Apple hardware Tests

I have a MacBook Pro with El Capitan 2010 installed (10.11.1). He gave me refresh issues such as refresh very slow on the desktop and in the three different browsers, which eventually would crash when I tried to run the videos. I have reset the PRAM. Then ran first aid and received a message ' Mac HD corrupted and needs to be repaired. Tried to run first aid Mode safe, so I started it as such and first aid, then ran with an OK message. Then I tried to run Apple Hardware Test online with D at the start but he would go directly to the grey screen with Apple and would not be executed that the AHT even through I've tried several times. I have not seen anyone with this problem. Any ideas?

The Apple Hardware test is the second of your original version of records. If you have not taken care of for transfer to a hidden location on your drive, it will be available from these disks. Your Mac is probably too old to get it automatically from the Internet.

  • Creating cloud crashing on my Macbook Pro when you restart.

It's a recurring problem since migrating from a Mid 2010 MacBookPro for 2015 MacBook Pro Mid to mid-December.  After the installation of the creative cloud, it works very well for days at ends, but as soon as I dared to restart my laptop, CC desktop crashes at startup.

Yes I do I have removed creative cloud and Apps before the Migration, but I didn't know that would be a problem at the time of the migration.  Now, I am well aware that the application must be removed before the migration, and I dare say I'll remember that for future migration.

I uninstalled with Creative Cloud Uninstaller, cleaned with AdobeCreativeCloudCleanerTool and reinstalled creative cloud whenever it breaks down.  It's annoying to have to do continually until I have the source of the problem.

I was given help by a representative of Adobe (Bangalore, India) this morning that remote connected to my laptop, threw a few things in the location of the library and then cleaned and re-installed CC.  Everything worked well and I was assured that the problem would be fixed now.

Not the case.  After we said our cheerios, I rebooted my MacBook Pro and, you guessed it, crashed again.  Deleted files plist records, such as recommended by the technology Adobe should hang again and have now reinstalled CC once more.  It is now working, but my guess is that it will crash once again when I reboot.

    Seriously frustrating it is.

Any assistance in the Adobe community on a possible solution would be appreciated.

    Chris

So I have a MacBook Pro 15 mid-2010 "running OS X El Capitan." A week ago my internet started running very slowly, until the point where it's impacting on my ability to get the work done. The speed seems to be the same if I'm at work or at home and if I connect via WIFI or connect directly to the router.

I was reviewed in the nets of support without success. I have reset the PRAM and the SMC which seems to help briefly, but then the internet speed slowed considerably again in 30 minutes approximately.

  • 15 mid-2010 "MacBook Pro Logic Board

Excuse me if I do this wrong, because this is the first time I ever used something like this, other than looking for things.  So I apologize in advance for any missteps.

I recently took my mid-2010 "15, 2.4 GB MacBook Pro in an Apple retailer approved and found the logic board is the problem.  They also informed me that there was a 'reminder' on this point to be replaced free of charge.  However, this recall went to day a few years ago.  Nice, since I have nothing received from Apple on any reminder & it was not giving me any problems so far, apparently I'm screwed now.  The dealer said that because my machine is now considered to be "vintage", Apple has more room, the #661-5566 or #661-6360 in stock MLB & my logic board current should be sent to Florida to Arizona to be "renovated" and then reinstalled.  Apparently costing a little more than $500.  Ouch!

I had been thinking of buying the new 2016 15 "MacBook Pro when it comes out later this year and using my old one as a backup.  However, as Apple could not extend the courtesy of advising me of this initial reminder of my logic board, spare me $500, I am strongly reconsider this purchase.  Unfortunately, I like Apple products and have bought several iPads, the large iPad Pro and Apple iPhones right up through my iPhone current 6.  Invested in Apple's it makes profoundly difficult to get away from them, but not impossible.  Had they notified me of the recall, I wouldn't have these problems now.

My logic Board recommendations or suggestions are greatly appreciated.  Thanks in advance.

  • Mid 2010 MacBook Pro could not be repaired

    Hey guys,.

My MacBook 2010 Mid Pro unfortunately has a problem with the logic board and fits in this issue:

    https://www.Apple.com/au/support/MacBookPro-videoissues/

After a match with apple care (which was extremely helpful and friendly), they determined it was a vintage product and could not be fixed by them. So, my question is that since the program is still in business and my problem is a known issue, are there options for me?

I don't know, but this applies to the 2010 Ant models the way that I read it. This program is for units from early 2011 and so would not apply in a mid-2010.

  • Windows 10 install on mid 2010 Macbook Pro 6,1 (2.66 17 ")

I'm trying to install 10 Windows on my Macbook.

    My Macbook is:

    MacBook Pro, Mid 2010 6.1 2.66 ghz

    8 gb Ram (standard)

500 GB HDD (standard) Samsung 850 Evo 500 GB SSD

    El Capitan 10.11.2 OSX

I try to install windows from ISO 10 Windows available on the Microsoft website.

My first question was that I could not create a bootable USB drive using bootcamp on my MacBook model.

I followed this guide to change the info.plist file and create a USB bootable with bootcamp. (http://tsentas.net/create-a-windows-7-or-later-version-install-disk-missing-on-e l-capitan /)

I got to the point where I select the BOOTCAMP partition I would like to install, however, received the error:

"Windows cannot be installed to this disk. The selected disk is a MBR partition table. On EFI systems, Windows cannot be installed on GPT disks. »

I solved the problem of GPT/MBR by using this guide: http://superuser.com/questions/508026/windows-detects-gpt-disk-as-mbr-in-efi-boo t

Then installing windows told me that my hard drive was not, I tried to continue the installation, but that failed. I checked the disk utility, and of course my disk S.M.A.R.T. status was "not..." So I've upgraded to a Samsung SSD (can't believe I did this more soon... so much faster)

Where I am: The installation now progresses from player selection and copy files. However, I get the error at the very end:

"Windows could not update the configuration to start the computer . . Installation cannot continue. »

I tried to delete, reformat the partition in the windows installation. Re-partitioning via bootcamp and resetting the PRAM I have worked for others. (rebooting and holding CMD + OPTION + P + R)

    However, I'm stuck now.

Please HELP. It drives me crazy.

    Thanks in advance.

You've seen just the tip of the iceberg. You install an EFI operating system no UEFI Mac compatible. Can you run a SMC reset - reset the management system (SCM) controller on your Mac - Apple Support and try again? Most likely, it is impossible to create/update the BCD. Be aware that you will encounter problems of driver or hardware may not appear when you use EFI boot.

A better method is to install W7 / W8 + and then upgrading to W10 on-site. If you have purchased a license W10, this cannot be a valid option.

  • Updated BIOS for mid-2010 MacBook Pro?

Cannot get my MacBook 2010 mid Pro 13 "to recognize the new 3 TB Western Digital My Passport 3 to. Execution of Yosemite and noted topics such as this one with Yosemite and a variety of HDs external on the internet. No problem with the previous 2 TB WD My Passport which it replaced as more storage. Any suggestions will be appreciated. Again internal 2 TB Seagate HD.

There is "a knee in the curve" technology used in outdoor pens. 2.2 TB. The older models do not work with elegance on the disks of this size.

If you have a smaller car that could live in this place, then you can exchange the 3 TB drive in another enclosure to try. If all else fails, you need a new case to go over to 2.2.

but I have no problem going to windows, if I install a driver for windows on my macbook

    Thank you all

Wow, these are all accidents just of singular everything off in the memory of the garbage.  Something certainly won't, but I'm pretty confident that it is specific to your machine.

Here is where I would start.  I think we should take Flash completely, scan your disk for corruption and fix anything find us, restart, then proceed to reinstall.

1.), do manual uninstall for Flash to make sure it's really clean.

If you cannot remove some of these manually, the disk is damaged.  Do step 2 and then come back and do it again.

How to do a 'clean' Flash Player installation in Mac OS X

2.) see the section "try disk utility:

    https://support.Apple.com/en-us/HT203176

While you're there, choose repair file system permissions (check frequently back clean, but then repair will always fix a lot of problems).

3.) reboot the machine (for real, just to eliminate any possibility that something remained stuff Flash in use)

It's pretty weird for what it's worth diagnostics hardware running on the computer.  You may just have a baguette flaky RAM.

OS X El Capitan: use the Diagnostics of Apple or Apple Hardware Test
