  I'm having a certain hard using first but the passage between different computers.

  So I created a project on another computer, in which I put the video files that are located on my hard drive (external). I saved the project on the same hard disk. Realization of my project, I noticed that creates the first "preview files" in a separate card.

  I got a new computer in which I put the 2 GB of ram necessary for myself so I could work at home. BUT when I connected my HD on my computer and tried to open the project, the computer said one of the preview files were missing. No big surprise, so I'm going and find the file. Click on it, but then it says:

  "not supported format or corrupted file", which is absolutely B * llshit because the Prime Minister created the file itself?

  In addition, all media, I imported in the left part of the screen of the user (not sure what you call) IS 'off CONNECTION '. It gets weird, because when I try to find the media using FIND in first, not all the files SHOW UP?

  Im getting quite nervous, because I need it to work hard enough

  Maybe its helpful to mention that my new computer is a complete novice blown [no internet connection, does not sound again: I just installed Service Pack 2] and maybe I'm missing some drivers?

  Open the CS4. Create a new project and when you get the sequence settings screen, are selectable AVCHD, HDV, and XDCAM presets?

  If this isn't the case, you are using the trial version, or your full version has been restored to the status of the trial. The trial does not support anything MPEG, even when encapsulated in AVI format.

  If you have the full version which is returned to the status of first instance, follow these steps:

  1. disable

  2 uninstall

  3. run the Script own CS4

  4 reboot

  5. Repeat steps 3 and 4

  6. Repeat steps 3 and 4

  7 install

  8 activate

  9. turn to update to 4.2.1

  Hello. Discussions previous, similar, does not quite seem to meet this strange issue.  I have Photoshop CS3, CS4 PP on Windows 7 64 bit.

  Working on a PAL format 16:9 widescreen 01:45, I managed to import a PSD multi-layer 1024 x 576 pixel RGB square as a sequence.  I was in Photoshop and edited the graphic layers / add and reimported with success several times.

  Today, when I added more layers, I got the consignment that the file is damaged or is an unsupported format, and it won't matter is no longer.  If I save the file as a TIF in layers, PP CS4 will be important - but only as a two-dimensional image.  The dynamic link remains intact because the previously imported layers are still available in PP.

  What's changed: yesterday, I had a problem of Media Encoder which is a known bug if PP CS3 has previously been on the system (dynamic links does not).  The solution was to PP CS4 to uninstall and reinstall.  This has solved the problem of Media Encoder.  It would be responsible for my current problem?

• Cannot display a .avi file in Premiere Pro CS6. We get an error "not supported format or corrupted file.

  I am trying to bring three distinct animations in Premiere Pro, but it won't shoot them in the Source window or timeline of the sequence. The three files are uncompressed .avi files that were returned on in Autodesk Inventor. They are 15 second clips, around 2 GB and 40 fps. I can play them in Windows Media Player without problem. Any ideas on where to start troubleshooting? I can't imagine it's a codec issue, if the files are unzipped?

  Imagine still once your screen printing said they are bitmap files... IE a string of images, not 'really' a video that the Organization recognizes... and a rate of 40 FPS is also "weird".

  Autodesk has other options... to create a file with a 'true' video output codec?

  Because the Assembly is not the same thing as play, you may need to find a codec to be installed to be able to edit (NOT a codec pack!)

  Hi all

  I have the video from a surveillance camera system I am trying to import into first. The program is iVMS-4200 by Hikvision. I download files to my desktop fine .mp4 and they initially only played in VLC... until I have download a plugin on the site of Hikvision and now he plays as well in Windows Media Player. I thought that plugin would be favourable import in first, too, but he did not.

  First says "Unsupported format or corrupted file" and will not import the video file.

  Encoder says "FILE name could not be imported. The source file appears to be corrupt. Check that it is a valid file. »

  I am able to convert the file with a third-party program and import it, but if I could skip this step and import the straight line of files for the first that would save me hours and hours of conversion time.

  WMP is a player's first editor-in-Chief: a world of difference.

  Try and see if you can convert with HandBrake to mp4 with constant framerate.

  I've searched these forums carefully and used considerable Googling time but have found no mention of this problem, only of DV AVI import difficulties, which is not relevant to my problem.

  PS I know that Bandicam has a "Preset" specifically for the work of creation/Vegas, but I was not aware at the time. Oh.

  Typical that I managed to find a solution almost immediately after the announcement. If anyone has this problem, I managed to work around it by converting (or reconditioning, I think) files to MP4s using ffmpeg: http://ffmpeg.zeranoe.com/builds/

  -i "of entry fichier.avi" ffmpeg.exe vcodec - copy - acodec copy "output file. MP4.

  Mocha does not natively support MPEG files. You must convert the file. This has nothing to do with Quicktime at all. I recommend you read as moka files help on what formats it supports indeed.

  What format you scan your documents? Adobe Reader opens as pdf files. If you scan to a different image file formats, reader will give you this message.

  Out of Lightroom

  * Remove or rename your catalog Previews.lrdata folder.

  * Open Lightroom

  * Call "library-> previews-> build previews of size Standard.

  You will be presented with a list of files that LR could not build previews of (and a "Show library" option).

  Note: If a corrupted file is on this list depends on how damaged it is.

  To be clear: there are 2 types of damage - these Lr can detect (for example an invalid format), and these Lr cannot (e.g. legal but bad data gross). LR will affect validity check codes to DNG if it detects no damage, even if the file is damaged. Similarly, Lr will be able to build an overview, so no damage was found, even though the preview may be all white, or have rectangles scratches on it (which shouldn't be there).

  PS - I wish Lr would assign the validity check codes for non - DNG files too, so damage check limited to DNG.

  PPS - @Lr5, * all * DNG created by Lightroom (if raw or not) have validity check the codes, but DNG who do not have the verification code is excluded from verification of validity. If I were a DNG user, I would consider updating all my DNG to have the verification code - don't know how to do.

  We had an outage on a host VMware Server 2.0 and two files that were part of a split VMDK file, have been corrupted.  We ran:

  fsck.reiserfs--rebuild-Arbre/dev/sda2

  For I hope to bring those corrupted files back to life, but no, they are completely missing

  I know it's a stretch, but it is anyway to bring back this VMDK to life, although it missed about 4 GB of data?

  It's on a virtual machine Windows Netware 6.5.  When I go to the 'parent' VMDK file and remove the lines referring to these two files, I can add that virtual disk back, but the server Netware do not see as valid a partition.

  So we plan A = replace the missing slices with one of a backup you have ay

  Plan B = recreate the same exact drive to produce new slices.

  If you need to create a new brand of disc you are using the same partition as the original used layout and format with the same options you used before.

  I did before with disk formatted NTFS and ext3 - in these cases, we could restore most of the files.

  I don't know how Netware will react to this?

• DSC RX 100 randomly corrupt files

  I got this camera for a little over a month now. This issue was initially due to a faulty SD micro I used. Having recently purchased a Sandisk 64 GB SDXC card from Best Buy, it seemed as if the problem was more with.
  Before going further: the SDXC card has been formatted in the camera.

  I recorded a performance by "majors" dance to my college so the choreographers would have a DVD of the live show. It was a performance of two nights. The first night, I tried the first record set half of the show until intermission in a video. Something was wrong; I don't know if I slipped and press the key to cancel registration or if the camera has just decided to stop recording. Because the recording is stopped during a show, I had to remove the part of this performance. Registration which has been the duration of 20 minutes was also well visible and legible on the camera so I thought I'd just remove the performance that has been interrupted.

  Within 48 hours of the performance, I copied the files on two different computers and an external HARD drive. When I had the time of video editing and try to put them together, the record of 20 minutes has been altered. He was more visible/playable on the camera, or on all systems, I had copied to.

  Out of more than thirty recordings (15 + of actual performance, new sockets that the faulty card corrupted and test students practice days records) both registration of 20 minutes and the brief pursuit of the piece that was interrupted during filming even have been corrupted. The worst is that I contracted to record this event for a fee.

  The attempt to recover bad sectors on the map did not help and even reduce the file size of corrupted files.

  Given that the card I used was brand new, formatted in the camera and 90% of all the records recorded so far, I can only come to the conclusion that there is something faulty with the camera itself whether the particular one I or RX100 all.

  It is possible that the file corruption is related to the first time that you have copied the on a computer. If you notice, the file has been corrupted after that you copied the courses to various destinations. The file may be damaged if:

  • the file has been changed and the changes have been saved on the card itself;
  • the file has been moved to a different location.
  • the name of the file has been modified;
  • the memory card was fired while the access indicator is lit.
  • the card / camera was not properly ejected from the computer.

  In addition, any virus or malicious software that could have infected the card may corrupt the files.

  Given that these are important images, you should consider having the video files recovered professionally. You can visit the Sony Media Services for more information on this subject.

  Recently, Firefox crashes * much * to exit. Sometimes I quickly leave Firefox when I switch to another application, and then a few seconds after the release, the crash reporter will appear.

  I've read elsewhere that it could be caused by the Norton Toolbar. I have the latest version of Firefox 38.0.5 and the Norton Toolbar 2014.7.12.14, and I think they are compatible, but I don't think.

  In addition, I make violations of integrity on my PC Windows 8.1. SFC is display of corrupted files. I was able to set this number, only to return the next day. I understand that a program ending abruptly can cause these corruptions, so I wonder if Firefox is the cause?

  In a world of perfect Mozilla and Norton would work out their differences. For now I have disabled the Norton toolbar, which is not a solution because I need to stay safe as I Browse. I'd rather not spend in IE or Chrome or the other. This isn't a solution.

  Everyone knows about this problem? Does anyone have a solution for my particular case crashing on the release of Firefox?

  What size is the drive?  For Photos, it may be only Mac OS extended (journaled)

  and you can't have photo library on the same amount of time Machine backup

  You can probably clone the library for the EHD with SuperDuper or CarbonCopyCloner or other clone software
