When I try to listen to extracts in IExplorer I get a download to view window that opens read 'do you want to open or save this file. If I chose open, nothing happens, and it does not show the preview in Internet Explorer. Is there something that is not compatible with what I have?

  What type of file you want to listen to extracts? It's a PHP file? If so, do you have a test server and it runs?

  I can write my images in Adobe Bridge CS3 by using the drop-down list "Label". However, I can't rate my picture by stars directly under my thumbnails like my book says I can. The book says: 'You can also assign the stars directly under the tile by clicking on the points'.

  try to reset your preferences by CTRL-right after you launch Bridge(you have to be fast, you'll get a dialog box if you succeeded)

  However, you will need to do this only if you do it right in the first place. With a selected image, you will notice small 5 points below its thumbnail in which you can click on to rate things. If you do not see the points then increase the size of the thumbnails by adjusting the slider at the bottom of the screen

  I have been using a very old PC in order to exploit the Premiere CS3 using Windows XP. I need now to get a new computer, and have lots of half finished projects editing! I want to continue using my camcorder, mini DV and CS3 tapes (ideally), but this will be compatible with Windows 7 on my new PC? At some point, I will get CS5, but yet again, I'm afraid that my projects will not be open on this subject, or cause another problem. I would be very grateful for any advice. Thank you very much.

  If your old product is not on the list, nor is your serial number for it. If you need to reinstall on a new system, and the CS3 upgrade wants a qualification series, it's bad. These series are of a value of $$$ and no registration or registration request in trouble.

  Hello

  Certainly, you can use binary files in HTML panels! This is a much better way to hide your discount code (which for JSX is a tricky business, see: bit.ly/1l7FvfV).

  For the conversion. Open your JSX file in the ExtendScript ToolKit (ESTK) and file > export as binary...

  So either save it with the extension .jsx (ESTK will ask you if you really want to change the extension) or rename the extension later when the file is already saved (from .jsxbin to .jsx). Of course, keep your plain source code somewhere ;-)

  The spirit (it is a general, non-specific signs HTML recommendation) do you use the ESTK associated with your CS / CC version, or the one that belongs to the version that you want to be retro-compatible with. For example if your scripts need to run starting on Photoshop CS3, use the ESTK supplied with CS3 for the binary export. Again, it is of course unnecessary for the panels, because it's something CC, you can use the latest version ESTK and that's fine.

  Yes, quite probably a compatibility issue. CS3 used an older model of compatibility, which long has been surpassed by newer versions of DX. However, still does backward compatible, so the problems you might have may depend on requiriung a specific driver, installing the legacy DirectX or as a minor, full support by changing some permissions on the system to allow the loading of drivers unsigned legacy and compatibility modes. It's a problem more complex that simply flipping a switch eitrher average. Check your device manager and then work your way through...

• Why Lightroom color match not during editing in Photoshop CS3

  I just started using Lightroom 4, the only version of lightroom that I used. Short version, save me lots of time. But I went to change more in photoshop and noticed that the color is radically different. I have Photoshop CS3 (10.0.1) and ProPhoto color space is to match to lightroom. I have make changes in lightroom, say remove dust spots, it appears in the version of photoshop. It seems that, in the shadow of the coast is where it really shows. My workflow would be to import to the original raw in lightroom 4 (1 5 d mark II canon) and go on changing. Right-click to edit in Photoshop CS3, and it is where the colors go crazy. So if I save the file with any editing done in Photoshop and compare side by side in lightroom, they are completely different. What is the origin of the radical difference?

  

  Here are the screenshots where the screenshot left the original image is the image dark and light, this is what it looks like when opened in Photoshop. Compare it to lightroom on the screenshot on the right, this is what it looks like when I saved the file in Photoshop. Then, how open it in Photoshop, then hit save the change of image? If I do edit in lightroom and then export the jpeg and open in photoshop, I get the correct color, exactly the same as my original lightroom raw.

  Despite having been a user since version 6.0, I've never used the forums so I'm new here.

  I have major dillemas following a big update at a critical time and feel completely abandoned by Adobe on this.

  I worked on a major project for more than a year.  Recently, the project requirements has become too expensive for my dual core Pentium running Premiere CS3.  CS3 has never been a program too stable during projects to get to a certain size, but this time frequent accidents were doing impossible things.  Furthermore, when I tried the functions of project management to consolidate and save my work, they would fail ("unknown error"), leaving my precious work extremely vulnerable.

  I contacted Adobe to inquire if I could build a new system first CS5 running and my project to import to CS3 to continue my work (which is now late with the customer).  The wizard of support said yes, there was complete backward compatibility.  You know what's coming...!

  I bought the new system (Pentium i7 860 8 GB of RAM, 1gig Graphics GTX460, striped disk Western Digital Mybook Firewire 800) and CS5 upgrade and has got it all.  I brought my project in CS5 by using the project import/set function in the menu.  My project appeared and I was hoping that everything was fine.  When I tried to read, the problems have become apparent.  Photos are all fine blue vertical lines from the top down, washed out colors and do not play smoothly.  The main monitor cannot read the timeline - it can only display the first image selected.  After a short period of reading, the whole program seems to go in slow motion. not an accident, but an impractical slows down.  The timeline, then stops responding and cannot be read.  When I first open the program, it takes about 5 minutes to load everything - that can't be right surely?

  Basically, it seems that CS5 is unable to manage my project of CS3 all despite the fact that, although large, it should be relatively easy.  It's a SD PAL widescreen project which is at the stage of rough cut.  I have not yet applied classification or something particularly complex (my system CS3 used to have difficulties handling of projects after that I applied Magic Bulllet looks like).  All sequences are in standard DV AVI format and was shot on a XLH1a.  The project also contains an uncompressed AVI file.

  The main thing is that I have spent a small fortune here all this because the old CS3 software was not working properly and I desperately need to finish this project.  Now the money has gone, CS3 is not stable enough to work on, CS5 on a brand new i7 machine work hardly at all, and my neck is on the line with the customer.  The work is sitting in limbo when I should be plug on with it.

  Sorry if this all sounds a bit (Christmas emotional stress?) but I would lovingly welcome all hero/heroine who can come to my rescue.  I'm so disappointed with Adobe right now.

  The blue vertical lines: for the Nvidia graphics card, it's a quality 3D setting that is causing the problem.  Set the parameter to "let the application decide."

• Connect to Port 3307 in Dreamweaver CS3

  I know how to connect to a MySql database in Dreamweaver CS3 using the MySql connection string server behavior. However, I now need to connect to a database on port 3307 and I've never done this before. Is it possible to manually change the php file in the Connections folder to achieve? I tried to simply change the variable hostname to "myhost.com:3307" but that doesn't seem to work. I'm pretty inexperienced at PHP. Thanks for any direction I can get. Here is my sample code:

  The default MySQL port is 3306. To connect on any other port, you simply add a colon followed of the port like this number:

  If the MySQL server is on myhost.com, the correct format is

  myhost.com:3307
  

  If you can't connect, it's probably because the host has blocked remote connections to MySQL. Without knowing more about your configuration, it is impossible to give advice.
