• Connect to Port 3307 in Dreamweaver CS3

  I know how to connect to a MySql database in Dreamweaver CS3 using the MySql connection string server behavior. However, I now need to connect to a database on port 3307 and I've never done this before. Is it possible to manually change the php file in the Connections folder to achieve? I tried to simply change the variable hostname to "myhost.com:3307" but that doesn't seem to work. I'm pretty inexperienced at PHP. Thanks for any direction I can get. Here is my sample code:

  The default MySQL port is 3306. To connect on any other port, you simply add a colon followed of the port like this number:

  localhost:3307
  

  If the MySQL server is on myhost.com, the correct format is

  myhost.com:3307
  

  If you can't connect, it's probably because the host has blocked remote connections to MySQL. Without knowing more about your configuration, it is impossible to give advice.

  This image is correct. To enable SFTP in Dreamweaver CS3, select the check box use Secure FTP (SFTP). This disables the other options: use the passive FTP mode, transfer mode using IPv6, Use Firewall, firewall settings and server compatibility.

  But, and this is a big...

  There is no field to specify the port number. The default port for SFTP is 22, not 722. 722, if necessary, I don't think that there is a way to do with DW CS3.

  Just try to clarify this point, I felt that I could use my old registered version of Dreamweaver CS3. In fact, I downloaded and installed in June. Our audit software now reported installation as invalid and wonder for a purchase budget. We are a volume license site, if that makes a difference. Thank you

• Please HELP - problem with 2 fixed column of the model Dreamweaver CS3

  I am creating a website using the 2 column fixed, no sidebar, header and footer template html in Dreamweaver CS3.  I tried to put a photo in the right side bar as well as in the part main content or to the left of the page, and no image is displayed when I view it in any of the browsers I use.

  I did some only minor changes in the colors and sizes, but other than that, no other changes.  The pic that I put in the header appears perfectly fine.

  Any help or advice for this problem would be greatly appreciated.

  Can you please download this page of test and images on a web server space and post a link?

  Otherwise, it could be that your images were not optimized for the web (jpg RGB)?  In Photoshop, click on save for Web...

• I use Dreamweaver CS3 for PHP - is there a better option?

  Most of my friends seem to use regular text for their programming php editors.  No need to connect to a database with my code.  I just want something that includes php functions and other, so that the appropriate boxes are highlighted.

  Or as missing semicolons and other php errors are easy to spot.

  Would you recommend me to? Or is there something that makes Adobe that is specifically for PHP?

  While Dreamweaver CS4 didn t add significant improvements for PHP developers in particular, the new CS5 version is actually a huge step forward. Please take a look at the excellent review by David Powers: Dreamweaver CS5 is a good news for PHP developers

  My recommendation? Well, if you consider Dreamweaver CS3 in general (not just talk the specifics of PHP) as overall useful tool in many areas (e.g. CSS, rendering, visual layout drafts etc.), then CS5 will be an improvement in these areas as well and might be interesting to try/buy. On the other hand: If you´re only interested in "whatever" development tool to give you advanced PHP support, the eclipse - based Aptana plugin or the Netbeans PHP IDE are both fairly thin tools.

• Dreamweaver CS3 bug with models?

  I have a very big problem with a model. I'm on Dreamweaver CS3 and my model was created in Dreamweaver 8 and it says in parentheses (xhtml) - even if all my model pages are html.
  When I do now even the smallest change (even adding one letter) to my model or when I try to create a new page in this model, the resulting pages have missing images (my banner at the top), but the real model seems perfect.   I remember I actually had this problem once before and I do not have it in Dreamweaver 8, but I'm not sure of my recollection.

  No doubt a HUGE bug with Dreamweaver CS3. I rebooted Dreamweaver 8 and my problem went away.
  PS: Yes, for those who have read the entire thread, there was a problem on the line (my customer deleted some image files), but my problem was completely independent. It's on my machine - before you download files.

• Dreamweaver cs3 - CSS not made when opening pages - please help!

  I use Dreamweaver CS3 and have built a certain (low) sites previously so not a perfect beginner, but am totally thrown by my CSS does render does not correctly in a new site I am building.

  I've implemented a new model, all work very well, full CSS included, noticed in the browser ok.

  Then created 2 new pages from this model "Aug.html" and "Oct.html" and recorded the two - both pages contain a link to the other and both preview in the browser on their own.

  However when I click on the link on the page is, not moving no matter what page I start with, the result is the same, the new page that opens seems to forget half of the CSS, div completely and links are back to blue and underlined, everything is changed as if there is no CSS at all.

  Why does the CSS work here? I've never had this problem before, the CSS is simple, I have about 6 div contains everything, including a #wrapper. the body tags and one: links preview all fine until I click and the new page that opens loses its CSS. There is no accessibility / compatibility or upcoming issues.

  Please help - have tried a lot of different things, now I'm completely lost! I know it must be simple, but I really can't find a reason why, really need help with this.

  You need to refer to what happens when you PREVIEW a page in DW, is - that correct?  In other words, get you an overview of the page, click on the link to page B and page B will appear without the CSS - correct?  Here's why-

  Your link to the style sheet is a link to the ROOT (see the first "/"?).  When loading the B page after clicking on the link in the first page, it tells the browser to find the style sheet to "C:/2012LG_CSS.css" because the browser has NO idea where the root of the site DW is and assumes that the root in the link refers to the root of the hard drive.  Normally, you would not use relative links root, unless there is a good reason to do so-in your case, I am sure that you do not have.  Edit this link to a document a relative, i.e.

  and things work much better.

  In General, it is not a good idea to click outside any page viewed when using DW.

  I just need a few ideas you can support for me how I can use the funtion... maybe something wrong with my registration?
  But I don't know where I can find the problem. Maybe the components of the draw layout table and draw layout cell have been lost or broken?

  Yes, we can see that.

  This is because you are working in table view Standard in DW8, but in
  CS3 page layout mode.

  Avoid mode layout completely. Try to VIEW | Table Mode > Standard Mode...

  So I was probably the last exclusion still using Dreamweaver CS3. After updating today CC made by hand with Adobe technicians by phone, they appear to have crashed the program with Dreamweaver CC. Required me.

You must repair the problem by uninstalling and then reinstalling this product or contact your COMPUTER administrator or Adobe customer support for assistance. ».  Adobe customer service sent me here... anyone has a clue as to how to go back to Dreamweaver CS3?

  As has been done by technicians from Adobe, you obviously have a paid support plan. It would be best if you contacted them to fix this.

  The only solution I have is to uninstall and reinstall.

  Dear all,

  After 3 tutorials, I took the direction of Wirral Bird Club site, and I was download photos and the meeting reports of field reasonably successfully for the last months.

  However, using WS_FTP95, I downloaded report Sunday but then when I look at the site, all the text is highlighted in green, and I can't understand why it has happened.  When I see him again in Dreamweaver CS3 it is not underlined.

• Relocation of Dreamweaver CS3

  Due to a problem (not Dreamweaver), I had to remove my hard drive. But first decided to try Windows 10 recovery option in "settings". It reinstalls Windows 10, removes all the purchased programs, but keeps all the data. Seemed better than formatting the hard drive and leave or return to Windows 7.

  Everything went well (I have a backup of all data), until I tried to re - install Dreamweaver CS3. He insisted on the search for some references on the hard drive of a previous installation. It seems that Windows 10 had removed everything as well as the removal of the program.

• Reactivation of Dreamweaver cs3 on new computer - too many activations

  I am trying to install dreamweaver cs3 on a new computer. It was not an option on the old computer to turn off because it was a volume license. I contacted support and they told me to uninstall the program from my old computer, and then I would be able to activate it on my new computer. Well, that didn't work. Then support told me that they can't help me and I need to use the forums. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

  The support person pushed you on this forum-car

  (1) CS3 is no longer supported.

  (2) you have Windows OS 10

  (3) CS3 is not certified to work on 10 to win.

  So even if they have to solve the problems of activation for you, there is no guarantee that CS3 will work on your operating system.

  I'm sorry, but I can't help you either.  I think you're at a fork in the road where you will need to update your software to match your operating system.

  In the meantime, you can download media - an infinitely better than CS3 code editor. And it works on Win10.
