  We bought Adobe Indesign CS4 in 2010 and have used without a problem. But we now need download Acrobat 9 Pro. I can't locate where this file is located on the CD. There is a second DVD, but it is titled Learning Adobe Creative Suite 4. How can I download Acrobat Pro. We wouldn't use it much and cannot justify obtaining the latest version to $16 per month.

  DC is actually version 15. Or 2015. Depends on how count you.

  It's probably a compatibility problem with libraries updated PDF vs you desperately old ACAD that cannot be resolved. In any case, I would consider it one of those things to try to attack the problem on the wrong end. All major CAD software have native PDF export these days and same ACAD had at least since v2006...

• Vista SP1, and Adobe Acrobat digital signatures not compatible

  I have a laptop HP with Vista home premium.  I installed Adobe Acrobat 8 professional.  I installed Service Pack 1 for Vista and lost features of Adobe.  Whenever I try to open a PDF with a digital signature, the system freezes and requires a hard restart (remove the battery and everything) to go back.  Given that digital signatures are a part of my daily work, they are required to work.  I uninstalled SP1 and everything went back to normal.  Any update or fix for this?

  I doubt it will work. If it settles, and you are able to open Acrobat and Distiller, you may be able to create workarounds as failure will occur with the print driver and AcroTray. What it takes in this case is to install another driver PS (either from Adobe) or a HP color PS driver, change the name in Adobe PDF format and change the port to the file. Print to this new printer Adobe PDF to create a PDF file. Then open the created file (a PS file with probably a PRN) in Distiller to create a PDF file. If the installation and this workaround works, then you've accomplished your need. However, it is really recommended that you purchase AA XI.
