achieve very uneven impression PSC 1210, cleaning

Printing starts right at the top of the page, then to the bottom of the page, continuing to fade with subsequent prints vanishes.  But if I wait some time, printing starts again.  Supply levels seem to be good.  Cleaning of the head of the cartridge by hand, helped a little, but not much.  Printhead cleaning (through the utility) fails with the error message: the cleaning method could not be completeted. Please contact HP support. Help?  I use the PSC1210 all in one, with MAC OS 10.9.4, on a USB connection.

Hi katf.

Welcome to the HP forums!

I see that you are having problems with your PSC 1210 and are eager to get assistance. I will certainly do my best to give a helping hand

I think that the reason why you are not able to run the cleaning of the print head is because the software that you use is not intended to run on the operating system OS X 10.9. Other then manually cleaning things, it is impossible to run the automatic cleaning, unless you have a computer with an operating system that still has the full features of HP for your PSC printer software (looks like it is Mac OS X 10.4 or Windows XP).

Is the black cartridge inside a little older? Is it possible that it dried up a little bit or some thing like that? Most of troubleshooting is in the software, so let me know if you have an older operating system that we can work with

  • PSC 1210: PSC 1210 print very slowly

    Printer prints very, very slowly.
    Self-test page took 96 seconds.
Test printing to HP PS RD took 05:34.
I've tried everything recommended on the support site.

In addition, with the regular docs (Word or PDF) it will print 1st page very well,

    then slow down waaaaay.

The next page will take more than 10 minutes and out very light.

I am convinced that it is not a problem of ink that I just replaced both cartridges.

Thanks for any advice you have.

The printer made a tape from the printhead, then pause for about 15 seconds before the next swath?  This is probably caused by the failure of one of your cartridges. I don't remember if the PSC 1210 supports printing with a single cartrdige, but try the following: remove the black print cartridge and print a test page.  The printer prints at a normal speed?  Is therefore the black cartridge was the issue and needs to be replaced.  If it isn't then, put the black back cartridge in and remove the color cartridge and the test page printed.  If the printer now prints speed the color cartridge is responsible and must be replaced.

    Hello @bdr777,

    Welcome to the HP community!

I hope you have a pleasant experience here.

I would like to help with the discoloration print issue you have with your HP PSC 1210 all-in-one printer, when printing from your computer Windows 8.1.

Could you try to make 3 copies of something on the printer for me? If the three pages of fine print, then we know that the problem is related to the software on your computer. If the pages are starting to fade and blur, then we know that the problem is probably with the printer cartridges.

Are the cartridges you use genuine HP? Can you check the date of guarantee on them for me if they are? If they are relatively old cartridges, the nozzles down can be a bit clogged and start getting muddy upward while you print. (This is particularly likely if you use the printer very rarely).

If copies are still faded and blurred, try these steps to clean the cartridges:

    1. Open the all-in-one with the power on and then remove the ink cartridges by slightly pressing the cartridge while pulling gently toward you.
    2. Inspect the ink cartridge ink nozzles and contacts for the accumulation of debris and ink.
    3. To clean build-up, dip a q-tip in distilled water (or water if distilled water is not available) and press the remaining water from the swab.
    4. While now the cartridge by the sides, as shown in Figure 3 below, gently wipe off any buildup of debris.
    5. Reinsert the ink cartridges and perform the alignment of ink cartridges.
    6. Print a test page to check the ink cartridges and rinse any remaining accumulation of the nozzles of the cartridges.

If the copies to print without any problem, try to download the HP printer installation wizard to make sure you have the latest drivers for your product.

    I hope this helps!

  • PSC 1210 all-in-one: hp psc 1210 order copy but scan and print

Until recently the copied PSC 1210, scanned and printed.  It copies is no longer in black & white, or rather when I press the copy button, the scanning starts and the printer prints a blank page.  Without moving anything, I can scan the document (Windows Fax and Scan) and print it using the same PSC 1210 and it prints perfectly.  A color copy prints a few characters in blue/green.  No recent change in hardware or software (other than the Microsoft updates).

    Hi @will-not-copy,.

Maybe the problem is related to the ink, especially the black ink. If I understand your description that you can scan and print again, but you are unable to copy. Copying and scanning use the same hardware components so ideally if we work so should the other. Copy and print using the same ink system so if you can print, you should be able to copy; However, the impression of the computer may produce a composite black, which means that the colors combine to make black, when copying the printer can pull out the black cartridge to produce black. That's what I mean when I say that the problem might have something to do with the he black cartridge.

I would like to print a self-test report to see if the printer hardware can produce black ink in stand-alone mode. To print a report, use the following steps:

    1. Load the plain, white paper into the paper tray.

  • Problems of PSC 1210

Hello everyone, this is my first post here on the forums of HP.  Considers that the problem that I have a PSC 1210 and a new computer. I just got a laptop HP 6730 b and have tried to install my printer PSC 1210 on this.  I am connected to my home network via a DSL Westel wireless router.  The printer is installed on the computer is connected to the router via a wired ports.

I can see the printer on the wireless network and can install it on the new laptop, and it is currently set as default printer.  Running the XP Pro laptop and the desktop is running XP Home and both machines are up-to-date with the latest service packs and security releases from Microsoft.  On a previous laptop (which was recently stolen), I was able to print successfully from the network router to this printer wireless, and nothing has changed with the settings for the firewall or network configuration that I know.

The problem I have is every time I try to print a test page, I immediately get an error that says: "cannot print Test page. You want to discover the convenience of printing support? Could not be achieved. "I tried all the suggestions that the convenience store offered without success.

I deleted and reinstalled the printer several times, always with the same result.  I have both the printer driver generic all-in-one as well as the specific driver from the HP Web site package and always get the same result.

Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you

'Paper jam' error in the status of the printer from the PC even if there is no interference on the printer paper.  I can send a print to the queue file, but it would not print.  Any help would be appreciated.

    Evening @shark3fins.

I saw your post about the problems you are having with a paper jam error message on printer PSC 1210 and I am able to help.

There are only a few documents left for this model of support, but I found this fixing of jams paper or workflow issues paper for printers from the HP PSC 1100, 1200, 1300, 1400 and 1500 series.

Please note: the printing software will not send the print job on the printer if he thinks it's an error state. After checking the good printer, try to make a copy. If it copies, it may just be a software problem, you can always try Uninstall and reinstalling new software this download page.

  • Scanning with PSC 1210

Anyone know if I have all the installed ink cartridges in order to use the scan function?  Someone has just given me their old printer, but with no ink.  I tried to analyze something with a Brother MFC 420CN, but he would do nothing until all the ink cartridges have been installed.  I've never printed in color, so this is not a useful option for me.

Also, the PSC 1210 is compatible with Windows 7?

IIRC, this printer can print with only 1 cartridge. If you insert only the black cartridge, it prints ink backup mode.

As for Windows 7, it has built-in drivers for PSC 1310. So he just plug the printer to the PC and run Windows Update, and it should install the drivers.

  • Check the HP PSC 1210 ink levels

I have a HP PSC 1210 with a HP Pavilion G6 running Windows 7.  How can I check my ink level? It used to be the HP Toolbox, but that has disappeared. Thank you

Look at this link here on the frequently asked questions for the upgrade on this printer to the Windows 7 driver installation. Some advanced features are not available. The Toolbox of the printer has a workaround solution to check the estimated ink levels.  There are two listed. • Printing problems HP PSC 1210 since upgrading to Windows 7

    Hello

Unfortunately, I have major problems since upgrading my PSC 1210 previously hassle to Windows 7 Professional (32 bit) on a Dell Latitude laptop.

    1. connect the USB cable from the system causes to restart almost 100% of the time. (Start with her already plugged the same result.) If it restarts not who does not necessarily mean that it will print. Although the USB connection is identified, the document does not print and gets stuck in the queue; by selecting either restart or cancel in the print queue does not delete it. Or turn off and unplug the printer. I have to restart my computer for him to clear, but it still doesn't work. Also, it gets stuck when I choose to print directly to the printer. More recently, I've only managed to print after closing of all the HP of the process in the Task Manager. (The same problem with restarting forced to plug in the USB cable happens sometimes when the analysis rather than printing).

    2. on the occasions I manage to do print documents, does not print black cartridge, despite having just replaced the cartridge and the perflecty black print on the test page.

I hope you can help because it's incredibly frustrating and tedious, and I really prefer is not to have to replace what was until what Windows 7 a perfectly good printer!

    Thank you

    Olivia

Welcome to the Forums of HP savemysanity,

I see by your post that when the connection of the USB cable, the computer restarts, the print jobs stuck in the queue since the upgrade to Windows 7, the black is not printing from applications, but prints black on the self-test page. I can help you with this.

Run all the updates of Windows on the computer. Updates Windows Installer in Windows 7

I have provided a document through the steps to see if this will solve the problem.

Print jobs are stuck in the print queue.

Download and run the Print and Scan doctor. It will diagnose the problem and could solve it automatically.

Run the System File Checker. This utility allows users to analyze and restore corrupted Windows system files.

System File Checker: run sfc/scannow & analyze its logs in Windows 7 | 8.

The chkdsk command or "Check Disk" utility is used in Windows to browse your entire hard drive and find problems.

    Run the Chkdsk utility.

Try another port on the computer and another USB cable just to exclude.

If the problem persists, would completely uninstall and reinstall the printer software.

    Uninstalling the printer software.

Installation of the software of the printer in Windows 7 for a USB cable connection.

There is no driver to download, drivers are drivers from Windows Update.

What operating system go you to?

If you need help, let me know.

    Good day!
    Thank you.
