CS5.5 Migrating to a new computer

I have an iMac that I migrated CS5.5 premium for my new MacPro. Using the migration wizard, everything seemed to go well. When you try to open any program in the sute it will open and crash or opens any. I tried to reinstall the suite, but it still does the same thing. Any help is appreciated.

Creative Suite cleanup tool

Run it, reinstall correctly. Also, check your permissions to the user on the Application Support files, preferences, and the library and manually delete the preferences of Adobe. You made a mess by pulling this kind of things from your backup.

You don't want to think in terms of migration when it comes to Adobe software.  You must install using installation files.  There is no need to have installed CS5 unless you plan to use it.  There is no way to upgrade of CS5 at CC, there is a reduced plan should soon be interrupted.  You get the first annual subscription for almost half of the normal price.

  • question: How can I open CS5.5 after the migration to the new computer laptop w / Mac OS 10.8.4?

question: How can I open CS5.5 after the migration to the new computer laptop w / Mac OS 10.8.4? I got a dialog box indicating that I had to run Java SE runtime (or something to that effect), when I approved it, then try opening cs5.5 Indesign, the program closed unexpectedly at startup. If I uninstall program & reinstall, my documents will be free, or are they toast? Help!

    Hi rabbit Art,.

Migration from one machine to the other problem most of the time. So I recommend you to reinstall the software. Concern is that none of your documents will be made.

    Kind regards

  • Should I update my old computer (Mavericks) before migrating to my new computer (El Capitan)

I need to update my old computer (Mavericks) before migrating to my new computer (El Capitan)?

It is not necessary. Migration wizard will allow you to move your files always your old Mac running OS X Snow Leopard or a later version, if OS X Mavericks is valid. See-> move your content to a new Mac - Apple Support

I try to install my CS5 Master Collection on my new computer, I don't have the installation disc, but I don't have my serial number. Please notify. I spoke on the phone with your support staff who informed me that I would be able to receive a download link.

  • loading of cs5 and cs6 on my new computer

I have not converted to the cloud.

I have bought a new computer and want to install both versions CS5 and CS6 on my new computer.

I don't want to disable them on my old computer until I am sure they are loaded on my new computer that I have an upcoming project and don't want to be stressed to get their load on my new computer.

I have an Adobe user since 2005. I need a human Adobe to discuss it with.

Condition that the new computer and old computer are all two Windows or Mac, then you're good to go.

Download the installers CS5 and CS6 on the new computer, install and then enter your serial number. That's all.

Download Adobe Creative Suite 5 products

    Download Creative Suite 6 applications

You can leave the software enabled on the old computer. You are allowed a maximum of two activations of the software at any time, as long as you use only one at a time.

  • When I install CS5.5 (upgrade) in a new computer, it says that there are no old version in the computer. I have older versions CS3 and 1.1 What do I have to install them also?

When I install CS5.5 (upgrade) in a new computer, it says that there are no old version in the computer. I have older versions CS3 and 1.1 What do I have to install them also?

    Laughing out loud

but after you have entered your serial number of cs5.5, the installer will search your computer for cs3.  Unable to find the Setup program will present a drop-down list of previous versions.  Select cs3.  you will be prompt to enter the serial number for cs3.

Enter the correct number at the right time and proceed with the installation.

  • Migrated to the new computer - now Creative Cloud Desktop Application will not work

    Hello

After migrating to a new computer (Mac Book Pro running OS 10.9.4) I can't run any of my creative cloud apps. When I try to start, I get a prompt to download and reinstall the Application Manager. After installation, the creative cloud dropdown tray is completely empty without list of applications or him sign-in fields, and I get the same prompt when you try to start an application.

I tried reinstalling several times, so to delete the opm.db file but still no luck.

I'm completely stuck here, what more I can try?

Problem solved by a very helpful guy on the support chat!

(I'm sorry, but I can't say what was really the cause that it was fixed by remote access)

  • My subscription on CC migrating to a new computer

I'm about to upgrade, one of the computers where I installed my suite CC.  How should I proceed to migrate to the new computer?

If you do not need cc program on your old computer, open the cc application and sign out.  You can then uninstall your programs and app.

on your new computer, download the cc app (starting to download one of the programs of cc).  Download and install your cc through the cc app progrmas.

There is a faster way... Start with CS6 installing directly, when you are prompted to enter the serial number for the previous version, enter and you should be good to go.

I've removed your email address for security reasons.

  • Software adobe migrating to a new computer.

I use v5 CS5 and Lightroom. I understand that these are "only licensed" products i.e. for one computer only. I currently use an Apple MacBook Pro laptop and I'm about to buy a new iMac desktop computer. I will plan to use the Migration assistant in Apple to transfer all my files to the new iMac, but I want to know is my Photoshop & Lightroom software correctly transfer under the present? Obviously, given the expenditure in question I don't want to buy these products again.

    Laughing out loud

    1. If you no longer have your adobe programs on your old computer, open them and click Help > deactivate.  (you can uninstall then.)

2 install your programs adobe on your new computer and activate with your serial number.  do not migrate.

  • How do we install the upgrade of Adobe CS5 web premium on a new computer

I bought a new computer and want to have my premium web Adobe CS5 (updated for cs3 and cs) installed. How to do this.

What I have to install first Adobe CS and Adobe CS3.

I tried to install Adobe CS, but it says that it is an upgrade which is not.

I have all my registered products

You need not install older programs.  When you go to activate CS5, you will be asked to identify the eligible product by selecting from a list and providing serial number.  The eligible product is old has allowed the upgrade, which in your case is probably CS3.

  • Upgrade of CS5 to transfer to the new computer

I just bought a new computer and I am trying to install my Photoshop Cs6 I've upgraded online.  All I have is the disk of CS5 and I do not know how to proceed.  Thank you!

No need to re - install in CS5.

Download and install CS6 CS6 download products

Enter your CS6 upgrade serial number, and then enter your CS5 serial number when you are prompted to enter a serial number one produced more early qualifying.

  • Loading of CS5 and Lightroom 4 on new computer

I have CS5 and LR4 on my laptop. I have all the disks. I bought a new desktop computer. I understand that I can get photoshop & lightroom on 2 computers under license. To load the CS5 and LR4 on the new desktop computer, would copy LR3 and download updates and then load LR4? If that makes any difference, these are some student edition with licenses.

You don't install older versions. They are not required.

Just install CS5 and LR4, enter the serial numbers and the installation program will ask you a previous version serial number during the installation of the LR4.
