  I have a similar question with one of my clients. The reason was the app was signed by the self-created certificate, which is (obviously) not recognized by the system. Try going to system preferences > Security & Privacy > General and change "Allow downloaded applications on" setting.

  Just install CS5, enter your serial number CS5 upgrade, and then enter the serial number CS2 as a product calling.

  If you're referring at the origin of Creative Suite (CS1) then this activation server was closed by Adobe a few years ago.

  The only way to re - install now is to download a new version without activation for CS2 (also applies to CS1 owners).
