CS6 Crop Tool slow progress (stands)

What should I do to fix this?  He did not have this before on the same machine with the same configuration.

I have CS6 installed on a Mac Pro computer desktop, dual-core processor, 3.3 Ghz, 6 GB RAM, several physical drives configured as "scratch disks" and no other applications running. I can't run out of RAM.

The files that I am cropping are. PSD files, not exceeding 34 Mb in size.  I can't even crop a web-res image - grinds progress bar stop almost to halfway through a simple harvest.  The machine has not locked and PS react to 'Cancel' orders.

Graphics card is an nVidia GE Force 8800 GT and the drivers are the latest from nVidia.

I rebooted the machine and restarted PS

Remove the Photoshop preferences file and try again?

Any suggestions?

Have you tried to disable GPU support in Photoshop performance preferences?

  • CS6 crop tool and the image disappears?

I am new to CS6. Sometimes when I use the the crop tool, the picture I want to crop disappears from the display. Can not see where to place the crop so I end up with a blank screen/window. When I click on another tool, a window pop up asking me if I want to harvest? To which I click on the button 'not fit' and my image reappears. As soon as I click on the crop tool once again, the image disappears again.

Why? What I am doing wrong? It happens not every time.

Which sounds like you have a problem with video card driver (like a lot of similar positions in the general forum of Photoshop).

Try to update your driver from the website of the manufacturer of the GPU video card.

  • Problem with the CS6 crop tool

I unchecked the "Delete cropped pixels' box, but when I crop the pixels seem to disappear forever. Reduced the size of the file, and when I re - open and click on the crop tool, the original pixels are not visible. This happens with the psd and JPEG files files. Can someone help me find the missing pixels? It seemed such a good vs CS5 feature, but not when I can't make it work!

Assuming that you did not have the [] delete the cropped Pixels option checked, simply run the crop tool and make it the largest culture.

Also you can make Image - reveal all.

  • Crop tool changes its orientation

I have a cropping preset guidance tool landscape size, I took photos for a book: data merge, I do every year. With CS6, I noticed something new and annoying; If I move the cropping tool too far to the left, it automatically changes the acreage of portrait. If this is supposed to be a feature, it's a unwelome plus one. If my screening of harvest is landscape, it's what I want. I would like to know if there is a way to disable this "feature".

Have you tried changing the setting tool of harvest to use Classic mode. I don't know if it will do the trick. CS6 cropping tool has been reworked. Many do not like to rework it?

Hello, my name is Todd, I recently downloaded PS CC 2014. I've used PS for decades. The crop tool will show the bar of progression, and to 25%, that it will stop completely, even on VERY small 72 dpi images. What can I do? Thank you!

Double check all settings in the crop tool and make sure that you are not say things to create an image of HUGE due to your settings.

  • Crop tool, Photoshop CS6 toolbar missing

  • How to get the crop tool to work faster (is slow)

I'm growing a few thousand photos, and the crop tool is just slow.

Change the culture or the displacement of the image behind the harvest is nervous, sometimes he has seconds to change the display, which makes pain culture to work.

Even though the image is loaded and the lightroom rested some time, cropping is slow, which should not be, since the image is entirely in memory and moving should be easy for the computer.

So, how can I get the crop tool to go faster?

I use a Win7 Core i7-2600 with 16GB of Ram, catalogue LR on Intel SSD, images on a fast SeaGate HDD, AMD Radeon HD 6800 grafics adapter, display of 30 "(2560 x 1600)." The files are a Nikon D800E NAVE, but my D700 files are slow, too.

I've worked through this list , which helped a little, but not too much.

    I'd appreciate some tips!

    Thank you
    Sam

    Sam,

This is good and bad news.

It must draw a ton of pixels in a higher resolution, and I suspect that it only uses the CPU to do. Have a faster card video likely would not help.

While you perform your crop, maybe you could reduce the Lightroom window so that the actual image which shows takes less than half of the screen space. There has been posts on this forum that indicate an increase in high speed to keep the image small enough. It seems to be quantified: there are certain thresholds, when the Crusaders, causing big boosts in performance. Try a few experiments.

  • I can't locate the CROPPING TOOL on Photoshop CS6

I've searched and searched my program for the crop tool...  I need to straighten and crop a picture and now the level of frustration!

    Where's the crop tool?

    Tony

Some tools are hidden by other tools into groups

You can left click and hold on the tools that have a small triangle to view the hidden tools

For the crop tool you can press C and then hold down SHIFT and press the C key to access the crop tool

  • Automatically detect orientation using the crop tool

Hello, according to my knowledge the crop tool in CS6 automatically detect whether the image was a picture of format portrait or landscape photo format. I now use the trial of CC, but in this version, I can't find this option. When I now open a portrait-format photo cropping tool remembers the last harvest-setting. If it was a portrait-ratio is not a problem, but when I cropped photo landscape format I have to manually change the orientation from landscape to portrait.

Anyone who can help me with this? Or has this feature disappearted in CC?

Note that in your Options Panel in the upper part, you have 3:2 (4:6). To the left of that, right click on the crop tool icon and select Reset tool as in the screenshot, I sent earlier. This will change the options of the report tool that you see in my screenshot.

Once you have reset the cropping tool, send a new screenshot of the Options Panel.

  • CS6 stamp tool does not work with action / record (record of the tool is activated) other tools works

CS6 stamp tool does not work with action / record (record of the tool is activated) other tools works

At the same time recording tool was not possible and if you install Adobe Scriptlistener plugin Adobe will disable the recording of the tool its never an option.

I use and record the actions all the time and was looking forward to the registration tool when Adobe announced it.  But I found what they delivered was very limited because of the restrictions. I don't like that Adobe disables the registration on my machine tool.

The amount of data that gets reorganized also seems to vary between machines.  I found that Action recorded on a fast machine are not usable on a slow machine.  Recorder fast machine too much data.

You use this action on the documents must also have the same size and resolution as the document that you have saved the action on. Quite a restriction.

You can also be foxed in 2014 CC sett here Photoshop CS6 - recording of the clone in an action tool works incorrect on replay.

  • My crop tool is not visible in the Premiere Pro effects controls.  Where would it be?

I just download Premiere Pro CS6 and all this so far.  When I go on the controls of effects to crop a graphic tool "Cropping" does not appear as it is simply not there.  To be clear, that he is not there, no selection for a menu drop-down.   Y at - it somewhere that I need access to show or what?  The motion, opacity, scale, etc. are all showing as an option, but not the crop tool.

Have you tried to actually apply the crop effect to the image so that the effect will be displayed in the effect controls panel?

  • CC - Crop Tool - limit 0.6 ° - cropping limit 0.6 °

I read on this forum that more than a year that this topic had already been discussed here on CS6, without any proposed solution, and it continues with CC:

-Crop with rotation limit stops at 0.6 ° - which was not the case of CS5

Finally, I find that the CC products bring me more disadvantages than benefits. I think I'll go back to the previous version and delete my subscription to Cloud (the same kind of surprises with Dreamweaver!).
