CS6 keywords - Collections, bridge of backups etc.

Hi guys

In order to completely save the bridge database with the entire structure and key words related to each image (so that the XYZ image has all the same settings/keywords/metadata) after having for example completely reinstalled the MacBook (clean installation), it is sufficient to simply drag and drop the/library/Application_Support/Adobe/Bridge CS6 / Collections and Adobe Bridge Keywords.xml is?

What are the best ways to deal with safe information in Bridge to not waste time things relocation after purchasing a new Mac or clean install, having had an accident or...?

As Curt I don't know what's your workflow with export frame.

But for the copy of the library, during the migration to a new update system with clean install or a clean on the new computer installation, it is useful first of all copy the former library of the user in a backup location, but in this case, it is also wise to rename the copied library folder if the system won't make any errors in finding locations and getting confused with several folders of Library.

The most important issues for me are application Caches and Mail support but keeping the lot for a while as the back until you are absolutely sure that everything is in place and running as it should would be my way to go.

But do not copy an entire folder of a former library to a new library. This will cause you problems because the application on the new facility has retained its own parameters. Just compare the content of two files side by side. Be sure to have left the bridge and see what files are in the new and which in the former.

You only need to search for custom settings that you have saved your self. But also be aware that some files are only created after you have used or customization. In particular, a new installation, not all records from your old library. For example, you must start at once Adobe output module before creating its files at this location.

In the case of the output module, you should look at the user templates / boards contact and inherent are your custom lay the parameters stored (even for Media Gallery but I'm not very familiar with this).

  • I have no bridge in CS6 Master Collection

    Hello everyone.

    I am currently at the end of my rope and very frustrated and confused.  I looked on the forums for a few days now and I just more confused.  Looked at 100s of pages in the forums of Bridge and Photoshop CS6 Collections.

    I bought CS6 Master Collection 6 weeks ago and after a few tries they have everything in the folder applications except for After Effects and bridge.  I can't live without AE but it seems bridge or a substitute is a must for opening RAW files in Photoshop as well as TIF, jpg, etc. in the raw files.

    I'm running OS X 10.9.5 bought a Mac Pro used (2008 model) computer with 2 x 2.8 GHz Quad-Core Intel Xeon processors, the 12 GB 667 MHz DDR2 FB - DIMM memory, ATI Radeon HD 2600 XT 256 MB graphics card.  I just upgraded to CS6 Master Collection (had suite CS4, which does not handle the RAW files from my camera) and that's what I have a problem with.   I understand that after effects 64-bit architecture needs to run and that is why it does not turn on or charge in the folder of the application from my computer and almost everybody does.  I don't know it's just that I haven't explored AE on the forums yet or if it's the problem with the bridge.  I saw nothing about whether the bridge to 32 or 64 bits for the CS6 version.

    My questions are:

    First of all, is bridge one component of CS6 Master Collection Suite (some say no) - should I have seen as a component of CS6 MC or not?  I have seen no stand alone fill in my collection that some components in After Effects, Premiere Pro, Illustrator and one or two others.  Photoshop did nothing referring to the bridge in its download.  It is forums that bridge some form plays well with Photoshop (CS6) so I don't know what the problem is.  If it is a separate issue, what's her name and where can I get it?

    The requirements for the CS6 States that Photoshop needs 64-bit like AE, but it seems to work OK in my 32-bit, and that's where my real confusion comes into play. Bridge must 64 - bit - anything.  I saw nothing in my 'to about this Mac' who says 64 or 32, but I'm probably not the right pane.

    If there is a reason I can't bridge to play nice on my machine?  Someone can think otherwise to open jpg files and did the first as bridge is supposed to do if I bail on the bridge for a reason any (last resort)?  I open CR2 files in raw one or twice so this isn't a problem, it seems to me - just of conversion.

    Thanks for everything and all the tips, suggestions, etc.    If I can begin to manipulate pictures in Photoshop.

    Bridge is not autonomous in CS6, CS6 bridge comes with 32-bit and 64-bit. Try to uninstall and reinstall Photoshop to see if that solves the problem.

  • copy the name of the file of keywords in Bridge CS6

    Hello

    I need to create a process of copying the file to a jpg file name using keywords in Bridge CS6.  Ideally I need the script to parse the file name and use the words (not symbols such as '_' or '-') as the keywords of the file.

    Here is an example:

  • Cannot install CS6 Master Collection on windows 7-64 bit

    As the title suggests, I repeatedly tried to install Master Collection - CS6 on my machine of 7-64 bit windows at home and after a few minutes, he simply erros out. I even downloaded the trials for several of the applications and they do not install too. My download has come directly from the Adobe licensing website.

    The fixed!

    Cleaned computer and register all products such as cs4 adobe, reader etc cleaned the register etc. then installed the trial CD and it worked. The key musta been seen always installed cs4.

    I'm new to this forum and want to get some advice regarding the re-setup.

    Specifications:
    MacBook Pro 15 "beginning 2013 retina

    I am running Adobe CS6 Master Collection and the license is issued by the school.

    Due to unforeseen circumstances of my Macbook, it requires troubleshooting.

    If I was using Time Machine to backup and restore from Time machine, will be my Adobe CS6 so restored or lost license? (Impossible for school give an another license key as a student is limited to a single installation of time)

    Several years ago, I bought the CS6 Master Collection for my son. We moved into a new House since then. Now, I had to reformat the computer, and then reinstall everything from scratch.

    Yes, you guessed it!  I'm not able to find my installation discs or backup software that I thought that I had on an external hard drive.  I have my original serial number for Windows and Mac.  Is there a place I can re - download the Master Collection?

  • Major problems CS6 Master Collection.  In real trouble... need help.

    I got a Macbook Pro running CS5 and CS6 Master Collection very well, never had a problem.

    Then I got a new and faster the Macbook Pro.  I followed the instructions and set up my new Macbook from the old.  Everything worked fine EXCEPT CS6.  I received reports of frequent incidents, but it was still usable.

    I called Adobe.  It was in May.  The guys at Adobe did everything he could, even, he went so far as to connect remotely to my computer and looked around.  He could not find a problem... you need a permit from Apple.  So I called AppleCare.  They're too remotely connected to my computer, checked a bunch of things... said that it is not a matter of Apple because everything works on their end.

    Adobe says it's Apple, Apple says that it's Adobe.  So I just kept trucking, tolerate incident reports.

    Fast forward > > > a few days ago, I was working on a project in After Effects.  I noticed that all my models were missing as well as some standard effects.  Tired of all these questions, I decided to uninstall CS5 and CS6.   I also ran the Adobe cleaning tool.  My theory was that it probably has little weird file buried somewhere (or absent) which is at the origin of these headaches.  A fresh new installation of CS6 (more updates) would do the trick, right?  EVIL!  It's worse than ever.

    Following programs will not open and immediately report problem: hearing, first, Media Encoder, SpeedGrade, Indesign.

    * AfterEffects Version 11.0.4 - I get this message: "cannot rename file" / User/editstation/Library/Preferences/Adobe/After Effects/11.0/Workspace.945.44549865121.xml' to "Workspace.xml". "." So don't let me open it.

    * Photoshop, Bridge, Illustrator, and Flash all seem to work fine.

    * The Macbook Pro OS X 10.9.4, 2.6GHz Intel Core i7, 16 GB 1600 MHz DDR3, 1 TB Flash.

  • Problem with CS6 Master collection on iMac

    Hello.

    Setup for CS6 Master Collection (Licensing) will not accept the serial number on an iMac

    I run adobe cleaner and erased all Adobe products on the mac.

    I run ONYX and fixed everything that he could set permissions etc. re and HD problems (none)

    The version of the OS is 10.6.8 and latest updates of yesterday.

    The installation and serial No. work very well on all other Mac 19 same configuration

    There is no product Adobe not appearing in applications or utilities

    Connection to the network is fine.

  • Prompt for activation after CS6 Master Collection Update

    I've already activated a copy of the Master CS6 Collection. But I'm getting activation prompt whenever I update it from any application of AAM for Adobe CS6 Master collection.

    I guess that you are facing this problem, mainly with commodity 64-bit as Photoshop Extended 64-bit, After Effects, Premiere Pro, etc.

    Let us, the question is still to solve. So the best solution currently is to save the serial number on a notebook/Text Edit and when it asks for a serial number, just copy and paste and click Next. Once it shows active, it will work as a full version and not a mode of trial.

  • CS6 Master Collection/Acrobat question

    Recently received CS6 Master Collection as a gift and responsible for all programs. When I tried to use Acrobat X Pro, I received an error message say serial number was invalid and request a new serial number. The problem is that there are only only I tag with a serial number on the box. Called online chat and they were completely useless. How am I supposed to get the correct serial number, so the product can be installed correctly and used?

    Michael is quite correct. Acrobat X is delivered as part of the Master Collection CS6. So, it doesn't have a separate serial key. The only problem is that serialization is using Creative Suite applications. Thus, launch other applications like photoshop. Illustrator, etc. and then launch acrobat X. I should work fine then.

    I'm working on a script that adds keywords based on the name of the image file. So, if the name of the file is AG123456 (08_16) .tif, this script would add "Agriculture", "123456" and "8/16" as keywords in bridge. I know that I need to write the part that actually adds the keywords in Bridge in JavaScript, because the bridge is not capable of AppleScript.     OK bad again - clearly a key issue to understand here.

    I bought the CS6 Master collection and Adobe cloud does not recognize this fact - all apps are listed in the trial. I have setup my fresh computer don't have don't nor the CS6 software. Will you please provide a solution (which should be in place already frankly) so I can install the software I own.

    Also, please fix the site bloatware irritating providing almost no useful information, no live chat and no obvious way to contact adobe - it makes you look like a nasty corporate organization, which I'm sure you're not.
