• Limit size of external hard drive from HP Pavilion dv6000?

  Hello

  We have a HP Pavilion dv6871us.  We are under Windows Vista 32-bit.  I have 2 external hard drives that I connect via the USB ports.  1 is 40 GB and reads without problems.  The other is 320 GB and is recognised as a mass storage device.  Any tips?  Is there a size limit?

• Distributed cache limit size

  I want to create a cache distributed with node 2.

  Each node can have maximum of 500 entries.

  Total entries in the two set of node cache should not exceed more than 1000.

  If the user tries to put more than 1000 items in the cache, then a few old entries from the cache (LRU, LFU) should be removed from the cache and new organizations must be added.

  Can you please help me with the schema for the above scenario.

• Limit size of VMFS - 40 gig?

  I began to serve our Organization Parallels and tasked ESXi 4.1.0 on a Dell R900 with PERC 6 / i and 4 x 750 GB SAS drives in a RAID 5 config.

  Seems simple enough. I did the same on a R710 newly acquired and kept the 2 TB by the LUN as on the R900 limit and I had no problem.

  Now, when I create the data on the RAID array store ~ 2 TB on the R900 (with 2 ~ to free, and I said to use the free space) I get a partition of ~ 40 GB...

  It's a quirk with ESXi.  With ESX, you would be able to use 1 2 TB of storage.  ESXi 2 TB storage pieces are ignored, and the rest is used.  So if you had a TB 5 LUN, 2 x 2 TB would be ignored and ESXi would use the rest of 1 TB.

  I added some javascript in the header HTML tabular form. When the javscript code size increases more than 26.6 KB, my form doesn't work - it gives just 'Not found' error instead of the page. If I reduce the size of the JS code to 26.5 k or below, it works very well.
  
  How can it be controlled? I need to add more JS for various checks.

  When you have a lot of javascript code, you can put in one file JS download on/i/images or files (shared components-> static files) in your workspace and static load from there. This makes it easier to maintain, too.

• Stopped reached log - logging file size limit

  From time to time, quite often, a pop-up box appears on my screen and said: limit size of logfile reaches - logging stopped. I can only press the "Accept" button or close it, but it rises a little later. I have not found information on the web.

• PE9 Panorama - size limit?

  I have just started juggling the panorama functions in PE9. I have a set of 13 pictures of the Valley of death I am developing. If I try to make all 13 I get a message that it cannot do because some photos may not be aligned. Yet this seems in fact be an alignment problem, I did do it in sections. It will work 1 fine pictures that merge-11, but can not do 1-12. But there is nothing inherently wrong with 12 such that it will merge with happiness, for example, 7-13. Am I encountering some kind of size limit of that width (11 photo fusion is more than 28000 pixels wide and is 49 inches wide), either in terms of pixels or just total? Have been totally unable to find an indication of size limits online.

  Have not worked with that many, so may have missed something obvious. Help, please.

  Photoshop elements has a limit size of pixel of 30, 000 x 30, 000 if the size of

  your pano would likely exceed these dimensions vertically or horizontally

  and that's why things won't complete the merge of photo.

  Try to reduce the size in pixels of each photo about half, save them as 8-bit targets

  and see if that makes a difference.

  I need your opinion of expertise on how to solve a problem to which we have inside an EchoSign solution that we created for use cases in Salesforce (force.com platform). Here is the description of use cases & the problem.

  • We have a simple pdf with some input fields that signatory can be updated before the signing. In addition to the fields we want to signatory to attach rare documents, which reached us by-tag echoSign attachment. Here is the excerpt of the tag.

  • Now here we receive questions, due to Salesforce Governor limit of 3 MB for attachments / support docs. If the signatory is attached a document of less than 3 MB, we receive the signed document & room supporting thru EchoSign integration. But if signatory is a document file size larger than 3 MB, Salesforce push voucher & mapping gets fail. If we lose the document as well as the new value of fields.

  Is it possible, we can check the document size, before it starts to download the document? Can we add any java script or any tag to limit size.

  Team EchoSign if GOLD can provide a tag to check the size of the file?

• RAW to Jpeg file size rule

  I wonder if there is a rule of thumb that can be used to predict the approximate size when exporting a raw file in Lr in a jpeg file.  For example, a raw average 25 MB file converting to about 5 MB jpeg with the export from Lr to 100 quality?  At about 3.5 MB with a quality of 80? …

  I know that can vary in size, but when I export a collection of raw files, and I put the maximum file size for a certain amount, Lr sometimes converts images because I limited the size too small.  I would like to be able to get a handle on some sort of relationship quality/file size before you begin the export process.

  I totally agree with Rob. JPEG file size limitation should not be used unless you absolutely care about the degradation of image quality. I can't imagine what application where it would be acceptable.

  Effectiveness of any given quality setting JPEG compression is generally of the order of 5:1. Using a means of file size limit will be saved images with detail to very high quality setting (i.e. 90-100) and images with the details is saved to many parameters of lower quality (0-50). It's the exact opposite of what you want to do!

  Unless you use a large file size limit size of exported JPEG images will probably visible JPEG artifacts. It's best to determine your threshold of acceptability for the JPEG artifacts (i.e. quality 50-70?) Use this quality setting for your exports without restriction of file size. The 'average file size' resulting will be less than with a larger file size limit.

  Tips to reduce further the size of the exported JPEG images files:

  (1) use conservative sharpening in the modules to develop and export (i.e. not too narrow)

  (2) use the color and Luminance Noise Reduction sufficient settings to reduce visible noise in the image.

  (3) make sure that 'remove the Chromatic Aberration "is checked in the color of the lenses Corrections Panel."

  Following the above suggestions can reduce the size of the JPEG file exported by 50% or more, especially for raw ISO images files high.

  If I delete the photos on my ipad or iphone original will always be in my library icloud?

  I would still be able to access my photos, my icloud, on my ios devices, but do not want to store photos on them. I already have icloud configuration to optimize storage and photo stream is disabled on ipad, but turned on, on my iphone.  It's possible?

  have you thought about a service like Flickr? You can configure it to automatically download photos, and he keeps private until make them you public. I bought a 4 GB SD for my Blackberry, but decided to put 4 GB in the e260 rather (and the 2 GB in the BB). The e260 won't recognize 4 GB card, but can still see the 2 GB card. My BB as well see very well, so I know that I don't have a bad card. Both are SanDisk cards. I can't find anywhere that says the e260 has a limit size of SD card. I've even updated the firmware, just in case, but still only sees the 2 GB card. Someone knows if there is a size limitation, or is something else?

  Can someone help me with regard to the compatibility of a Seagate 1 TB SSHD for my HP G61 401SA laptop. The existing drive is low on free space and that it is a 9mm disc I was hoping that I could replace it with this 1 TB drive, but I don't know if the laptop can support this capability. I am running the latest version of the Bios. Thank you.

  Then you are good. I understand the question. There is no limit size of drive that will cause problems at all. SATA has no size limits in the way in which the ancient architecture of IDE drive did.

• Captivate 6.1 on Mac audio spontaneously returned to an earlier version of the course

  It's the strangest thing I've ever seen as a developer. I developed a course earlier this year that sat untouched for several months. I have recently found some hyperlinks in the course had changed and went to update. After that audio had restored the previous version, which is false. I need to re - register all the voices on.

  I had experienced many fatal mistakes Captivate and so I renamed the project cached folder. After that the audio came back to a previous version, I renamed the folder the original name, relaunched Captivate, and the problem persisted. I've never touched the audio tracks at all. I don't know why or how it could have happened.

  This bit of information about the cache of project editing makes me theorize that somehow a cached version earlier obtained course mixed when you opened the project to make the changes.

  If you were having a lot of problems with errors, perhaps your cache folder had grown too large and had to be cleaned rather than having its name changed.  If the record could not accept several cache files due to a limit size imposed, which may have contributed to the error where an earlier version of cache was used.

  I'm plodding through the vCenter Server 5.1 Upgrade Guide, all the time, assuming that I didn't need to worry about installing a complete SQL DB for 5.1, and I come across this Page 51:

  I have 3 guests and 36 VMs.  These 36 VMs, about 25 are critical.  We you will develop, but we should be good for another year or more.

  Question1: should I worry about the time, licenses, etc. to create a complete SQL DB for vCenter 5.1 upgrade?

  Question2: is SQL 2 K 8 R2 Express come with the file .iso image for the upgrade to vCenter and just install/upgrade it first?

  Answer 1: You can go with the Express for your deployment. In fact, the limitation is a soft and only has an impact on the size of DB stored by vCenter (R2 Express now have a 10 GB limit size of DB) and performance. You CAN have more than 50 virtual machines / 5 ESX, but if you have a problem with your vCenter service (i.e. vCenter start fail, slow performance when you access the inventory, etc.), VMware will not support you in this case. Virtual machines will not be affected by this.

  Answer 2: Yes, SQL Express are delivered on the installation of VC. He moved with vCenter (you can choose during installation).

  Yes, you can apply the license for the trial version to convert it to a purchased version.

  But since you bought a license upgrade make sure you have the license key for the previous version of the software qualification as Setup prompts you for the old serial number after you have entered the serial number for upgrade to validate.
