CUCMBE migration to LDAP Synch

HI - we currently have a 7.1.5.1000 facility - 12 autonomous CUCMBE which is in place for a few months.  The end-user CUCM database is local and the user CUC were imported from this local database.  Our customer now wants end users to WHAT LDAP integrated with MS AD. Currently, the AD user ID matches the ID of current end users to CUCM/CUC in CUCMBE.  We are concerened, it's what would become letters and current users of CUC boxes?  I know that in separate environments of CUCM/CUC we can preserve the local users of CUC and mailboxes when LDAP synch and the doc below explains that if an LDAP account is deleted, the user CUMBE/CUC can be kept as a regular account, but I'm not too clear about what would be the behaviour in the event where we LDAP synch with users with corresponding identifiers existing?

http://www.Cisco.com/en/us/docs/voice_ip_comm/connection/7x/user_mac/guide/7xcucmac110.html#wp1049902

Any thoughts are greatly appreciated.

Concerning
Brian

When you synchronize and username match what you behavior is that users will be preserved, the user will only be updated with the info you have in your LDAP.

If they don't match then they will be marked as inactive and removed when the mechanism of removal of waste runs and after they have been disabled for 24 hours.

  • Directory LDAP synch but service not end-users?

    Hi the voices of experts,

Is it possible to synch CM for directory purposes and not for end users? To clarify, I want to be able to take advantage of Active Directory for the composition between sites, but each site is a separate database of the CM. I am not fully complete each database with my global user list and eat us licenses, but I don't want their global directory.

Thanks for any help in advance.

    Danny

The Directory integrated business displays the users that you sync / create as to end-users. So, the answer is no. You need to build your own custom directory to do what you want

Users of synchronization FYI has nothing to do with licenses

  • LDAP role create and update reconciliation

I have IOM 11.1.2.2 and OID 11.1.1.6 configured with ldap synch enabled. It works very well as expected.

I have a question about the scheduled task LDAP create role and the reconciliation of the update as described in http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E37115_01/admin.1112/e27149/scheduler.htm#OMADM2773

-LDAP connector to be installed for this planned work? Or the existing ldap synchronization between IOM and the OID will suffice?

Jobs need not install the connector. These jobs are coming as part of the installation of IOM with LDAP synchronization.

  • How to create a role in IOM so that he doesn't end up in the OID?

    Hello

Is there a way to create a role that does not end in OID?

I tried with the category of the roles of the IOM and the default category.  They all end up in OID.

I just have to use the role aimed access to AD policy and do not want these roles being in the OID.  Is there a way to do this?

    I'm on 11 GR 2, PB07.

    Thank you

    Khanh

I think that LDAP synchronization gives no option for the selective provision of (means we cannot define some roles to be synchronized and others do not). Here, I assume you have LDAP Synch enabled in IOM.

  • N2L Wrappers and not installed inityp2l (ground-10/Sparc)

    Hello;

I am trying to migrate from NIS to Department 11.1.1.7, use a Solaris 10 (Sparc) as my master DSEE, as my N2L Server (until all my slaves of NIS are correctly migrated to LDAP).

I'm unable to locate the inityp2l, or/usr/lib/netsvc/yp /, or anywhere else.  I guess it of a component that was not initially installed, even if this host is running successfully as a NIS master and has all the needed NIS demons and orders.

My question is, what package I must install to have the inityp2l, as well as the wrappers of N2L installed?

    Thanks in advance.

    Resolved:

Seems that inityp2l is delivered with the SUNWypu package.  I discovered, after execution of channels on my ypserv to NISLDAPmapping stock, which prompted me to add the source of the most recent.

Hope this is useful to someone.

  • BE5k tar BE6k Migration file fails

    Hi we are upgraded to a CUCMBE5k to 6 k (CUCM 9.1.2)

Our existing server is on a HP MSC server and we bought the Cisco UCS C220 server. We follow the guide that describes the creation of the server then the import/export the tar files from the old server to the new CUCM below. Because it is on a new server that I am raising a new at the same time then I'll cut above.

When I run the import, it fails. Attached is the work schedular failier. The log files have some info however, how I should handle this info, if I can. Has anyone experience this problem with the default TAR files?

    Thank you

    Mike

There is no path of migration for CUCM out of a BE5k. You must build the new CUCM cluster from scratch. If you are patient, you can use BAT Import/Export to carry in most parts of the data; However, it will require a lot of massage in Excel, the columns will be different for your old version export and import on 9.1 2. Note that you can move the mailboxes CXN using COBRAS , but you must be on CXN 7.x or newer.

If you have installed Cisco Unified Communications Manager Business Edition 5000 on an MCS-7828 server, and you decide that you need to migrate to separate Cisco Unified Communications Manager and Cisco Unity Connection environments for increased scalability and capacity, you can reuse that MCS-7828 server to run Cisco Unified Communications Manager in a MCS-7825 cluster. Although you can reuse the server, you must reenter your data on the server manually. You must also obtain another server to run Cisco Unity Connection.

  • ACS 5.8: Using AD vs LDAP

    Hello world

I'm migration between 4.2 and I'm interested to know what are the benefits of joining the field rather than simply perform LDAP queries on a research base.

    (1) it is especially a problem for RADIUS authentication, and not for GANYMEDE +, and if so is it at all useful for deployment GANYMEDE + only?

    (2) is there a significant performance difference, and if yes, then which is the best?

    (3) are there any pitfalls to join the domain rather than using LDAP?

    Thanks for your thoughts!

    HoD,

We use a performance wise there is not as such difference and decide which database to use depends on the type of authentication. A protocol like mschap is not supported by LDAP snack so you wireless authentication using PEAP, AD Protocol will work.

Here is the table of compatibility of Protocol,

Safety forms, there are 4 options:

    (1) administration of OPSS forms resources

    (2) administration of LDAP forms resources

    (3) associations of Runtime LDAP forms

    (4) migration of resources

In option 3), I managed to connect with the OID forms, but in the other three options 1, 2 and 4, I 'is not a valid connection. Correct entry of LDAP credentials to continue. »

It may sound crazy that I am answering my own post.  As he complains about MigrationBasis.  I tried to go to the config.xml file and changed

    Cluster-0

    unicast

    database

    TO

    Cluster-0

    unicast

    consensus

And at least I was able to restart Server Admin and go to the Server Admin page. The Cluster-> Configuration-> Migration is always on view from database as the basis for Migration.

  • The OID of the Migration of OUD, hitting the problem with the attribute pwdhistory OUD

The OID of the Migration of OUD, hitting the problem with the attribute pwdhistory OUD

I use sync DIP at the end of migration of data from OID for target OUD. Everything seems great so far, I have found that pwdhistory being migrated is not being validated by OUD password policy

I do import ldif for OUD and find this pwdhistory field is populated with the same OID value. When I reset password in OUD-DOHAD with the word in the history of password,.

Expected Behavior: Error Message from the OUD "" LDAP: error code 20 - already the value of specified password exists in the user input " "

Course Behavior: OUD is what allows to reset the password in the password history

Also found that when I try again with the same password, then it throws the error 20 code. OUD replaces the old values in pwdhistory after the password resets and written new values with stamp of password.

It is a Blocker for us for migration in the history of password, I would like to join the forum and check if someone had the same problem and how they managed it?

    Thank you

    Satya

Support of Oracle confirmed that DIO history for the OUD password migration is not supported. The OID and OUD records and validates the pwdhistory differently

  • OBIEE catalog migration

It seems to be common practice to zip and copy the entire catalog from one environment to another.  I'm afraid that user accounts are not the same in each environment, make the object id line necessarily after the move?  Is the necessary reconstruction of the guid each time or I'm too concerned?

If the security provider is different in the other environment, you must resynchronize GUID Yes, if you copy the entire catalog. Thus, for example, if you use the LDAP protocol integrated for each environment, or you are not migrating your application role definitions, but recreate them.

Catalogue of zip & standard copy is really original for deploy - once you do an incremental deployment of the .catalog deltas (archive / unarchive).

  • That in order to run the reconciliation of ldap and the synchronization to run?

    Hello

I'm running on IOM 11 GR 2 PS1.  I am migrating users, admin roles and application of IOM 10 g to 11 GR 2 IOM roles.

I am trying to simulate zero-day and I have completed the following tasks:

    1. run the "LDAP role hierarchy full reconciliation."

Validation: all OID groups appear in the table of the upg.

2 turn off the LDAP synchronization (I chose to activate LDAP synchronization during the installation of the IOM)

Validation: create a new user and no account of the OID is created in OID.

    3. run the first scheduled custom task to create users and admin roles using the data of the implementation of the 10 g IOM.

Validation: the users are created in the table of the usr.  Got about 5000 documents in.

4 re - enable LDAP synchronization

Validation: create a new user and a matching OID account is created in the OID.

3A ran all reconciliations LDAPSync 4 (LDAPSync, hierarchy, select post available role of Post allow provision to LDAP users, Post select roles available to LDAP, Post Select available roles for LDAP, LDAP group memberships).

Validation: select usr_ldap_dn in usr;  This property returns the value of the user dn in OID.

5 ran all reconciliations remaining LDAP (with the exception of the deletion).  The number of records in the table of the usr goes to 7000 records.  Updated full reconciliation and create LDAP users created a few new records by IOM.  It seems like if it was a reconciliation of the source of confidence with the OID being the source of confidence.  It's not good for my use case.  I don't want users of OID to create in the IOM.

I have 1 not more to finish which is to run a second custom scheduled task to add application roles for users with distributed LDAP synchronization.

I'm doing this right?  How can I reconcile an OID without creating users in IOM with users of

    OID?

    I'm so lost...

    Thank you

    Khanh

    In what order should

    Hi Khanh,

[Is not good for my use case.  [I don't want users of OID to create in the IOM]

Do not forget this Ldap synchronization that we use when we want that all users of OID - EEM to be synchronized. Otherwise, you should have disabled the Ldap synchronization and used OID 11 g connector.

So if you want to link users to IOM help process form/resouce OID, then its essential to use OID 11 g connector.

  • Migration of 10g OAM for other infrastructure

    Hello

We have a requirement to OAM 10 g of an infrastructure.

There are about 10-15 applications configured in OAM and the political identity of shop/store is AD.

Below two queries WRT, I have this:

    1. to confirm as OAM10g uses an LDAP in the policy, for the migration store we can export data LDAP and then import it into the new policy store for all configurations of OAM (of course some do we do manually too)?

    2. the 2nd challenge is that what needs to be done to Webgate, do we need to install new webgates for applications or we can re - register existing with the new OAM webgate.

In both cases, to do it for all applications.

    3. is there the document/migration utility to migrate the data from one environment to the other OAM.

    Kind regards

    Deepika

    Hi Deepika,

Unfortunately there is no utilities taken in charge for this type of horizontal OAM 10 g migration. For policies, you might consider copying the relevant part (o = oblix) in ldap and massage the data so that it is consistent with the new environment, but of course it's a little risky and prone to error.

For WebGates, there is no need to uninstall/reinstall them - you can create entries (registry) in the new OAM access System Console, and then run the WebGate configureWebGate t-i order to point the WebGate on the new environment.

    Kind regards

  • Migration in WebLogic security provider

    Hello

I want to migrate the dev security provider to test and I experience the following behaviors: new users and their groups are inserted correctly, but existing users and their group memberships are not being updated or crushed. Is this expected behavior? Do I need to set some parameters when I import or export security provider in the Console of Administration WebLogic?
    Thank you!

    Kind regards
    Stijn

    Stijn of morning,

WLS integrated LDAP migration mechanisms are not really made for a properly structured deployment process. I assume that this is due in part to the fact that Oracle is not really a lawyer allows you to use the Protocol LDAP WLS is the main tool of management of authentication and permissions in a productive environment, but rather by an appropriate OID, MSAD or another LDAP. All that you are migrating 'normally' are the configurations of LDAP and group/AppRole rather than physically importing assignments users.

Certainly, that 'normally' comes with large enough citations because you may need to use LDAP WLS because there is nothing else. But I would say your solution is one of the valid solutions to deal with this problem, and as you can script these steps, it should not be too difficult to use.

    See you soon!
