  Hi Kyle,.

  This method works well with shortcuts, so you can try it. Follow these steps to manually change the icon:

  a. right-click on an .xml file, and then select Properties.

  b. click on the shortcut tab, and then select change icon.

  c. select in the list and click Ok.

  Check whether the problem is resolved. Please let us know the status of the issue.

  I have an error with some photos I made with my Canon. RAW CR2 photos looked fine on the camera, in other programs of the image and when I select to import the photos.   It is usually the memory card which is a failure, and the raw data on the card is damaged, but it could be any other hardware component, as suggested by Keith.

  To narrow down the problem area, copy pictures, perhaps by hand using the Explorer or the Finder to the hard drive of your computer and reimport this second copy of the photos, after you turn off temporarily in double elimination in the import Panel.

  If the same pictures are damaged in the same way then the camera or memory card is probably the problem and you should stop using this memory card and try again.  If the problem persists while the camera may be the problem.

  If different pictures are assigned one import to another, then something in the transfer or on the computer (status of Keith with HD) is likely bad.  You can try to transfer the photos in a different way - using a card read instead of a cable on the camera, or get a new card reader, if you already use one.

  A problem with the hard drive as Keith said there may be much more difficult to fix but also very important to set the since you lose pictures and possibly data other than the disk turns.

  Sometimes, the memory of the computer is bad, but the symptom is usually lines thin or small spots of color in many image formats, not big portions of missing images.

  Either there is not enough space on the destination or the size of the file is larger than the destination system can accept, for example FAT32 cannot have a file size more than 4 GB.

  The only way I found to do that once a file has been downloaded is to remove it and add it again through either from Finder on Mac or iCloud.com.

• Cannot get data author and the title for the pdf files display in the Explorer of Windows 7

  How can I get Windows 7 explore to display the author information and the title for the pdf files?  I can get columns to display for the author and the title of information, but they are empty and when I click it, I get the message "not specified."   I use Acrobat to create and read pdf files.  Pdf files, I create include the author and title information in the metadata, so I know the information are here. When I used Windows XP, I could hover over a pdf file and metadata would leap upward with the author and title, but Windows 7 does not display no information in the pop up more than Tpye/size/update even if the metadata author data and the title has been entered.

  I started with a version of Microsoft Excel and Word Starter on my computer, but once I started University, I had to install a trial version of Office Professional. Since I installed the trial version and then uninstalled the starter version, my icons of file type for the .docx files resemble white pieces of paper.
