Cursor inside a loop FOR?

Hello

We will declare or define a cursor inside a loop FOR?

-Vijay

Yes, it is possible that the definition take place inside the part of the plsql block code, the syntax looks like:

for rec in (/*here you define cursor with select query*/) loop
  ...
end loop;

I think that if you do not use a variable/slider several times, it is advisable to set the cursor with the loop for. If you want to use the cursor over a school then it should be defined in more global place.

    Yes you can engage inside the LOOP.

  • How to stop a flat sequence (or timed sequence) which is inside a loop for

    The problem is this, I have a loop that repeats 10 times and inside this loop, I have a flat sequence (or timed sequence) with four images, each of this chassis to evaluate a different condition of a vector that I introduce.

    What I woud like for example is:

    I'm a fifth County of the loop for and in the case that part 2 does not meet the condition, the sequence of dish (or timed sequence) stops and starts the loop again but this time for the number of number 6.

    I would appreciate your response.

    You can't stop a sequence structure.  This is how they are made.

    What you should consider to get rid fo structures sequence and to change a state machine architecture.  There are many examples in LabVIEW, as well as on the Forums.  The big advantage of the state machine is that at the end of each State, it examines the conditions and determines which State then run. And that is exactly the description of the problem you are experiencing.

  • For loop inside a loop For

    Is it possible to perform all iterations of the inside of the loop for each iteration of the loop outside? I've attached a screenshot of my program if it helps. If possible can you tell me how to do it please?

    A thought I have is that I think you want these nodes of feedback reset for each iteration of the loop from the outside.  Personally, I would like to change the shift registers (it would clean your scheme a little more).

  • Cannot use Select inside the loop For inside the SCTL (FPGA) - Bug? An alternative?

    When I put a Select statement inside a loop in a loop of Timed Cycle in LabVIEW FPGA, I get the following error when I try to compile:

    "An internal software error occurred. Please contact National Instruments technical support on ni.com/support with the following information:

    Error-61003 occurred at

    Possible reasons:

    LabVIEW FPGA: you cannot include this function in a loop For when the loop is within a single cycle timed loop. »

    I didn't know that whatever it is documented that says that this is not allowed; is this a bug or am I missing some documents?

    The code that causes this error looks like this, inside a SCTL (ignore Boolean wire wandering behind the loop for)

    I came up with the code below instead, which compiles into one Cycle timed loop, but it is a bit ugly. Does anyone have a better suggestion?

  • If doesn't work is not inside the loop for the registration of the declaration file?

    Hello!

    I have the following documents open in Photoshop:

    123456_mrp_ou. TIF

    869548_mrp_ou. TIF

    896589_mrp_in. TIF

    896589_mrp_ou. TIF

    .. and I have this if statement in a loop for to search for files with a specific 'pid' number and save them in the folder My Documents:

    var originalPid = 896589
    for(i = 0; i < app.documents.length ; i ++) {
          activeDocument = app.documents[i]
            if(activeDocument.name.substring(0,6) === originalPid) {
                    var standardSave = new File('/Users/constantincerdan/Documents/' + activeDocument.name)
                    activeDocument.saveAs(standardSave, TiffSaveOptions, false, Extension.LOWERCASE)
    }
    }

    It did not find the two files and save them when I run. However, the loop without if statement runs very well and saves all the documents in the Documents folder:

    var originalPid = 896589
    for(i = 0; i < app.documents.length ; i ++) {
          activeDocument = app.documents[i]
                    var standardSave = new File('/Users/constantincerdan/Documents/' + activeDocument.name)
                    activeDocument.saveAs(standardSave, TiffSaveOptions, false, Extension.LOWERCASE)
    }

    How it works with an if statement so that it saves only the two?

    Any help is very appreciated!

    You are comparing apples to oranges, you need to compare strings.

    originalPid = 896589;

    alert (typeof originalPid);

  • OSB: Replace the action inside a loop for

    Hi all

    She seems like a simple question but I'm breaking my head for now quite sometimes.

    I have a recurring element in my diagram. I need to get the value of this repetitive element and convert it to uppercase.

    For example:
    My XML
    <Telephone>
    <Telephone Number>
    <phoneUsage>Contact</phoneUsage>
    <phoneNo>767676</phoneNo>
    </Telephone Number>

    <Telephone Number>
    <phoneUsage>Callback</phoneUsage>
    <phoneNo>767676</phoneNo>
    </Telephone Number>
    </Telephone>
    I need to change the value of using phone uppercase (reminder and Contact)

    For this I use a loop For:
    For variable TelephoneNumber in ./Telephone/TelephoneNumber of variable body
    Indexed by variable TelephoneNumberIndex with total count in variable TelephoneNumberCount

    Do
    (
    Replace $body/Telephone/TelephoneNumber/phoneUsage in variable body with
    fn:upper-case($body/Telephone/TelephoneNumber[xs:int(i)]/tro:phoneUsage)
    )
    I do not know how to move the index value in the Xpath expression replace $body, phone, TelephoneNumber, phoneUsage.
    Can you help me please on this? I tried $ phone/body/TelephoneNumber [xs:int (i)] / / phoneUsage, but it generates an error.

    Thanks in advance for your time and support.

    For each [TelephoneNumber] in [. / phone/Tel...] ./Telephone/TelephoneNumber
    [body]
    Indexed by [undefined Variable] with countdown in [undefined Variable]
    Do)

    Replace [content of the node] [. / phoneUsage]. / phoneUsage
    in [TelephoneNumber] with [fn:upper - case ($...)] fn:upper-case($TelephoneNumber/phoneUsage/text())

    )

  • Event inside the loop 'for' confusion

    Hi all

    I have an event inside a N = 2 for the loop, which generates an array of 2 elements (auto-index mode). The first value is a first event, the second of the second round. The events are the mouse clicks on a front panel with many buttons control.

    Am I able to access the i counter inside the front loop of 2 elements output table? He does not appear.

    Maybe I want just 2 events in the order I should put two copies of this event in a sequence of 2 image... but it creates the need to set up the event twice... a concern, because it contains many possible sources.

    Ive tried everything in loops, by the way I like a local variable, tunnels, shift... registers but I don't seem to be able to access I have during the loop.

    Can anyone suggest a method or a better structure/approach for this issue.

    In any case, it seems that the program is blocked waiting for the second round, so I can't do anything with the value anyway?

    I want to take action after the first test and before that I'm waiting for the second event.

    Thank you

    Carloman

    OK, you're much too complicated things dong.

    • Use a unique event for all low Boolean mice, then use the ctrlref of output event to detect only one. For Boolean values, you can use an array of Boolean instead of all these individual buttons.
    • Don't do the "table of cluster... unbundle" songs and dances. It's just ridiculous! 'array Index' is sufficient.
    • You need an event for the stop button.
    • The structure of your outdoor sequence has no purpose.
    • The coloring is registered with VI, no need to recolor with each race.
    • Do not reproduce any of this code. Your internal matter differs only in a constant of the diagram, it's everything that belongs inside the case. The "subset of table to replace" belongs to the outside.
    • Now, simply do the processing in a new event and ignore if the State isn't fair. Modify if needed.
  • Define the actions of the buttons inside a loop for

    Hi, me again ^^
    This round is:

    I got a set of buttons and a text field where they load the content.

    I try to take a zillion functions and keep the neat code so I guessed I'd try set the actions to the buttons in the loop too. First of all, I had a few problems to the I counter inside the function onRelease (in fact I don't think I've ever had how do). But I tried this and it worked:
    Stop();
    var comprarXML = new XML();
    comprarXML.ignoreWhite = true;
    comprarXML.load('flash/comprar.xml');
    comprarXML.onLoad = checkLoading;
    function checkLoading (success) {}
    rootNode = comprarXML.firstChild;
    ButtonReleaseAndContent ();
    }
    function ButtonReleaseAndContent () {}
    for (i = 0; I < 12; i ++) {/ / my buttons are not dynamically generated, which is why the County.}
    btTemp = eval ('content.test.bt' + i);
    btTemp.txt.htmlText = rootNode.childNodes [i + 1].firstChild.firstChild.nodeValue;
    btTemp.temp = rootNode.childNodes [i + 1] Sublst.ChildNodes(1).ChildNodes(0) [1].firstChild.nodeValue;
    btTemp.onRelease = function () {}
    this.temp = content.test.test.htmlText;  the problematic line
    }
    }
    }
    On line where I put the text, I had one if "uh Yes, I may be refer to in the mc button, because the generated code goes in! So, I tried the this.temp, guessing it would be equal to the level of the key. A few seconds later I noticed that my SEO for the text field was not coming in the button, but the root. So I have no idea why this works. Anyone know what I did?

    If btTemp is a movieclip to assign dynamic properties (such as temp).  You can then retrieve this property when the button is released.

  • The sum of several waveforms, created inside the loop for

    Hello

    I am currently viewing the Gibbs phenomenon by adding several sine waves. The issue I'm having is that I can't understand how to add sine waves created in the loop. I have attached a picture of the basic structure for my project below. I tried to use simply "add" with a feedback loop, but it seems that my programming skills apply here. Any suggestion is appreciated. Thank you!

    0

    Something like that?

    1. make sure that you "reset" the generation of signals with each iteration

    2. with the waveforms, please make sure that the sample rate is the same.  This may be a problem with the first iteration.  Then add in a check to use only the first waveform on the first iteration.

  • make a graph in real time of 1 DBL value at a time, using a loop for

    I have a somewhat interesting programming task where I have the following situation: (I have attached a mac version of vi Labview 2013)

    -Using a patented (pre-made and uneditable) sub - vi, who receives a value of 0 or 1 as input and reads off a single measure, whenever he receives 1 while a value of 0 is necessary to 'reset' of the vi to rehearse a new measure.

    -I would like to run this sub - vi repeatedly in a loop For each value of "measure" are sent to a curve of waveform to give a direct value (real time) for the graphic to display.

    -As it is, I have a vi file that simulates action in a loop but built in a 1 d array to get exuent values sent a waveform curve.

    -I don't know how to make a real-time graph which receives 1 value double both.

    -In addition, I want only every 2nd value sent to the loop for, but I already have several ideas on how to do it.  First of all, I am concerned about the target in real time.

    A graphic, not a graphic, allows you to update a point at a time. It would be inside the loop for. update the chart or not, you can use a select statement or the structure of the case.

    These are pretty basic functions in LabVIEW. Please see the free tutorials.

  • Node inside the loop - out of memory

    Hello world

    I have a Mathscript node inside a Subvi is called inside a loop for. After a few iterations of the loop, I run out of memory. That's why I added another node in Mathcript with the function 'clear' outside the Subvi, hoping that after I get the variables from the node I could erase the memory of the Mathscript, but this does not work, it is always short of memory.  Is anyone know how can you delete variable memory Mathscript node, once they were saved in the variables in Labview? Thanks in advance.

    You don't even really any useful information to solve the problem. As I exaplained, constantly deleting data sets just to reassign them to the next iteration is generally ill advised, because it causes just more performance and same memory fragmentation issues. It is best to operate locally as much as possible.

    Who wrote the code matlab? Maybe it's very inefficient? What is doing? Perhaps rewrite in LabVIEW you gain significant performance.

    HI'.

    1.) initialize a new variable 'counter' of type int, and assign inside initialize counter = 1
    2.) put the card1 DB and DB map2 invoke the of inside a while loop, then put it
    condition (that you want to use) for the number of times you want to hit the DB again and again
    3.) use affect the activity and inside this use Add and put the [$counter] on the expression of xsl to map to the next node
    4.) now use a beneficiary within an Assign activity where increment you counter + 1

  • List of cursor only save last position in loop for

    Hi, I'm new to LabView 2010 and try the list of cursor to use in a different program to the top of the label. My test program has a problem however, only displays the last Summit of cursor not all. Basically my program will simulate periodic signal jacquard Sinc, finding peaks and their location of Summit with PEAK detect and then use a loop (the length of the array of locations of long peak) for update cursor list repeatedly. I can't understand why on my graph, only the last point gets poster well! Any suggestions? Attached is my diagram of block VI

    You have some very weird code constructs, suggesting that you are not yet fully understand dataflow.

    The property node double where you first write, then read the list of cursor is half-useless. Remove the lower property. You could just branch wire on the node property and the indicator.

    The property on the left node is outside the loop, which means that it is read only once and then never again. All that you read at each iteration is the outdated value stored in the tunnel. If you need the updated list cursor, place the node property inside the loop.

    Your code is much too complicated. All you probably need is to index automatic on two tables of orange and the list of cursor, built the new list of cursor on a tunnel to exit of autoindexing, then write on the property node.

    Please join the real VI so I we can show you more easily.
