• Activation of video while moving under the cursor on the timeline

  Hi all!

  I was wondering if there was a way to allow the abilty to see the video when you move on the timeline under the cursor.  I´ll try to explain a little better:

  I do a lot of clips, based on the Action takes, and I put the video (or certain moments in the video, like the firing of a gun) at the appropriate time with the music, for example on the first beat of a 4/4 timing.  The problem is, I try to put this point in the video under the cursor (I found the point in the Audio where I hold to come out, adjust my cursor on the timeline and move the video clip of left/right below). The problem in this is that when I move the video clip to get the points aligned, I can´t see the video, it just shuts down.  I do it a lot in Sony Vegas, I am able to see the video as I move under the cursor on the timeline and it works fine, but I really prefer to use the first place, but exactly this problem is what is going to send me back to Vegas.

  My question basically boils down to: is there a way I can have first SHOW me the video under the cursor on the Timeline AS I MOVE it?

  I don't know of a way to get the framework under the read head display when dragging a clip. However, if you use keyboard shortcuts to 'push' the clip left or right, the current image is shown.

  A completely different approach, if you have not tried, would be to use markers of audio video synchronization. Put a marker about synchronization in two clips, then select both, right click and select Synchronize. In the dialog box synchronize, select markers.

  I am trying to edit a timeline in first, but the cursor turns into an arrow left/right with a red line through it.  I've never seen this before slider in CS4 and it prevents me from moving clips in the timeline panel.

  I tried to take a screenshot to show you all, but the cursor is still hidden in the final clip.

  I resorted to drawing the curson in MS Paint.

• How do I adjust my SCHEDULE real itself in Premiere Elements, not the media on the timeline?

  I think that's what could happen... and the answer may be related to debris on the track of timeline beyond where you believe that the content of the timeline at the end.

  1 open the workspace Expert and expand the Timeline with the - + cursor on the Timeline. Make sure that all the tracks in Timeline (audio and video) are in the open configuration.

  2. press the end key on the keyboard of the computer to move the indicator in the timeline to the end of the track content. The timeline indicator should be limited to the 20 minute mark.

  3. in your case, I suspect that the timeline indicator stops at 29 minutes. Explore the region of 29 minutes for remains of clips

  a. those that you moved out of the way during the workflow and I forgot to remove them

  b. fragments, may look like very thin black vertical lines

  The remains must be removed. After the destruction, make sure that the timeline indicator stops at the actual end of the content of the timeline (20 minute mark).

• Cannot change the timeline view Speedgrade CC!

  I want to zoom in on the timeline to see my videos better.  I can't find a tool for this.  Help Adobe says: 'Select the master Timeline view in the view menu on the upper left side of the Timeline.' and then use a combination of wheel/ctrl to zoom.  Fine, except that the button I need to click (which is labeled "All") is either a or disable toggle.  The illustration accompanying on the help page shows it as a drop-down selector.

  Deselect the button 'all '. Move your cursor on the timeline and everything by pressing the 'Alt', scrolling with the mouse to zoom in and out of the timeline.

  Not automatically.  But you can do this:

  Place the cursor in the timeline to the place where you first layer to begin once that everything is moved.

  Click on the layer immediately above the layer you want to delete.

  Shift-click on the upper - layer you have selected now all layers above the one to delete.

  Maj-do drag the selected layers.  They will align with the point where the cursor of the timeline.

  Once you have verified that all is well, delete this undesirable layer.

  I just found the answer:

  -Click on the layer in the timeline of the object

  -move the mouse over the object on the slide: you can move with the cursor keys.

• Can cut is no longer clips of media to drag in the timeline of the movie

  Once I have download media, and I create a movie in iMovie, I am no longer able to highlight the small clips of media uploaded to slide on the timeline of the movie.  I did this for years with ease, but now when I upload media (let's say it's a 90 minute video), when I touch the clip it highlights the whole thing instead of letting me choose that it contains.  Any help would be great!

  Yes, there was a change in the last update to iMovie.  The default is now to choose the full clip.  To select a part of a clip in an event that you have pressed the 'r' key while you move the cursor over the area you want to select.  An alternative is to position the cursor at the beginning of the selection and press 'i' and then place the cursor at the end of the selection and press 'o'.

  Hello, I am trying to edit a video. When I drag the film down to the timeline, it shows that in a small frame, but the movie is here. I've tried everything. I tried dragging the cursor, messed with settings etc. Here is a picture of what it looks like. Any help is appreciated. Thank you!

  The position of the slider (to the left of 'Settings'), you have your calendar set to minimum.  If you drag the slider to the right only extends the timeline?

• audio clip WAV plays is not in Final Cut Pro (unless in the timeline)

  I have a few audio dialog recorded externally on syncing with my videos. It is in format wav 24-bit / 48 kHz. The problem is the audio clips will not play participate in event viewer so that I can revisit. To be more precise, when I hit the space bar the cursor moves along the clip, audio level indicators move up and down as if it is being read, but I have no audio output. However, if I drop the audio clip in the timeline panel, press space - it plays perfectly!

  Try to convert the audio 16 bit @48 kHz .aiff.

  The audio as it is, very probably turned in the Timeline to conform to the parameters of the project on the fly.

• Extension video Clip in the Timeline

  Why it sends me in trouble? It's simple. I imported a 30 minute video in my area of projects. I just want to take all of the video in my calendar. I note the entire clip, but when I drag in the timeline, it spread like the whole video I can do the necessary editing, audio settings, timing, etc. Instead, when you drag in the timeline, the entire video is contained in a cell. Two questions: how to drag the video in the timeline so that it lasts, without doing it section by section by section, and how I can extend it the video of that one cell that contains the 30 minute video. Really appreciated any answer. Thank you

  The cursor to the left of 'Settings' control the time scale of the timeline.  Move to the right to extend the clip:

  

  A cell (thumbnail) actually contains the entire video.  You will get more when you expand the timescale.

  By default, the duration of the photo is 5 seconds.
  Open Windows Movie maker > tools > Options > default duration. Make you changes.

  Also, if you want to increase the duration of any slide, just put the cursor on theright edge of the blade until the cursor turns into a 2 pointer > left click and HOLD > drag the slider to the right where you want.

• Why several ghostly images when I play the video in the timeline?

  I'm new to Speedgrade and I understand how it is powerful - but I think it's completely intuitive compared to After Effects or first or even PhotoShop.

  I loaded a test clip (30 p ProRes) and when I try and play and watch on the configuration of the monitor I get four ghostly images of the shooting.

  I'm not using an external monitor as I am shaken upward in a hotel room working on a MacBook Pro.

  In order to speed (ironic, huh) I'll probably make the colors work in After Effects, but if someone can point me in the right direction I would appreciate it.

  Forgive me if this info is already posted on the forum - I tried search but he came up to the top with a white and a large number of tutorials.

  Don't not seen this... but it would be good to get a few things to help you. SpeedGrade is a program unique, but it's actually quite simple to use once you begin to understand the controls and what they do, which is often a little different from what is a noob expected... as when I started with him, I have found certainly!

  First of all, it is more demanding of hardware damage even... If the Sg doesn't like your platform, it will simply go crazy doing nothing. He won't give you small problems like stammering, he'll do great things that obviously does not work. So... that's just MbPro got for the video/graphics card? And how much RAM? Computers that use the graphical features embedded very rarely work well with SpeedGrade. Under 8GB RAM... don't even think on this subject. You MIGHT be able to live with 6 GB of RAM, as some people have claimed that they did... but this isn't a nice job... slowing.

  Following... is this a project of SpeedGrade 'native mode', where you open SpeedGrade and a new project, and then make a timeline it in SpeedGrade, or a draft Premiere Pro sent to Sg by using the command "live from SpeedGrade?

  Initially, I found Sg so impossible, that I used Ae a little myself. Now... I was not to AE for a long time, except to say fight against noise or create a sequence of reading can do a LUT of her.

  First step to a colorist or the marshalling of the app is neutralize your videos... Making it NOT enough. It's a different passage home and down the road. In this step, I don't even look at the picture very much... I'll have the RGB Parade, Luma and YUV Vectorscope 'up' signal and watch, particularly the parade & wave. I select the slider controls (in color wheels) and unlock all the controls I use (the small icons of lock). I'll adjust individual controls in color on the section Offset (left set of sliders) to match the bottom of their footsteps a little over 2 or more, I will look to see if it's ok or should it perhaps a little lighter with this image. The switch for the Gain sliders (right) and set them to basically same heights for the scope of the parade, with their vivid the two lower at 100 and research appropriate for the image. It is sometimes as low as in the 1960s, sometimes as high as 99.

  Next is to use the Gamma sliders (in the middle) to correspond mainly to the parade & - waveform traces... all easily identifiable 'forms' in the mid tones I will align with each other.

  The foregoing leads me what... 20 seconds? May 30 at the most.

  Then I switch back to the color wheels and compare the images with my eyeballs and the vectorscope... How is the saturation and... How is the balance of color/tint and the proportions compared to what I'm used to seeing on the field and the monitor? At this point, I'll do a bit of tweaking of the Gamma & Gain color wheels and luminance sliders, perhaps use contrast, temperature, magenta or rotate the cursors in the cursor above group wheels. This neutralizes things pretty well.

  Can do... Nice... or better. JUST looking at a picture's contrast, luma (lamps or dark) or chroma (color)... where's the good contrast, where... not very good? You can have too little contrast color (saturation) in the midrange, but perhaps too in the brights... or your shadows can all tend to block upward around 5-20, when you need to go up a little higher. This is where the tabs above the wheels of color shine... This example:

  

  The tab made highlights chosen... No, you have still three wheels, each with (vertical slider) luma and chroma controls (wheel)? They overlap, and in order to play a bit with a ramp is great. A "ramp" is a tonal graphic staircase from black to gray in several stages, make an and import... then play around with the settings and see what effect each has... where on the ramp.

  Here, on the tab highlights... the rightmost is very bright pixels in the clip, with overlaps down the scale a little. Controlling the environment moves mainly on the third median of this, the upper third of the image around... with some effect in the poorest and brightest pixels in this part of the scale. The right control is the bottom of the upper third... usually used to help blend in the midrange. Also... See the control 'grayed out '? Set that say gray color and pixels that you change will be in color, the rest of the shaded image. You can see directly what you change.

  So... as you have three basic commands, Offset, Gain and Gamma, and three controls each for shadows, average and clear tones, you have a LOT of very refined tweaking you can do. Also... Note the vertical slider to the left Luma control for the facts tab highlights? In text turned on its side, it says mph... who is the pivot of control that defines WHERE on the scale of the end of the midrange and treble begins... you can move upwards or downwards. Among the witnesses of midtones, you have sliders on both sides, one for the breakpoint of shadows/Mids, one for the breakpoint Mids/facts highlights. Shadows tab has a pivot for the shadows/shades breakpoint.

  It affects all the cool things you can do with the secondary and masks and other... but it's long enough for now!
