Customer behind EzVPN remotely (ASA 5505)
Hello
I try to set up a simple EzVPN infrastructure:
EzVPN Server (CISCO2811, hostname cme) < --=""> EzVPN remotely (ASA5505, hostname ezvpn - asa) < --=""> Client
Attached you will find the two server EzVPN configuration and remote control. The tunnel is getting up and if I ping from the ASA to the router, I see the packets be encrypted:
ezvpn - asa # ping 172.16.100.1
...
ezvpn - asa # crypto ipsec to show her
Interface: outside
Tag crypto map: _vpnc_cm, seq num: 10, local addr: 172.16.100.2

If I connect a customer with IP 192.168.1.2 interface eth0/1 and do a ping to the cme, I see not all packets are encrypted. I have no idea on the VPN, I just need a wireless lab environment. I need to configure on the SAA, so the Interior traffic is encrypted?
Thanks in advance and best regards
Dominic
Hello
Looks like you are missing split-tunnel list in 2811. Please see the link to the example configuration below.

No Internet connectivity with ASA 5505 VPN remote access
Hello
I configured ASA 5505 for remote access VPN to allow a remote user to connect to the Remote LAN officce. VPN works well, users can access Office Resource of LAN with sahred etc., but once they have connected to the VPN, they are unable to browse the internet?
Internet navigation stop working as soon as their customer VPN connect with ASA 5505 t, once they are disconnected from VPN, once again they can browse the internet.
Not ASA 5505 blocking browsing the internet for users of VPN? Is there anything else that I need congfure to ensure that VPN users can browse the internet?
I have to configure Split Tunnleing, NATing or routing for VPN users? or something else.
Thank you very much for you help.
Concerning
Salman
Salman
What you run into is a default behavior of the ASA in which she will not route traffic back on the same interface on which he arrived. So if the VPN traffic arrived on the external interface the ASA does not want to send back on the external interface for Internet access.
You have at least 2 options:
-You can configure split tunneling, as you mention, and this would surf the Internet to continue during the use of VPN.
-You can set an option on the ASA to allow traffic back on the same interface (this is sometimes called crossed). Use the command
permit same-security-traffic intra-interface

ASA 5510 &; ASA 5505 VPN
I have an ASA 5510 in HQ (Version 8.0 (3)) and an ASA 5505 (8.3 (1)) Version at remote end. I am using easy vpn. The vpn works fine, but when the VPN is connected the 5510 shows 17 IPSEC connections to this one device. I watch the 5505 and it says 1.
Thank you!
Yes, it will create SAs for each subnet you have an ITS twinning with the remote subnet ASA 5505 and one ITS twinning with the ip of the remote ASA 5505 peer.
He created the pair of HIS extra with the IP peer of the ASA remote for easy vpn (it is normal in easy vpn). If you configure LAN-to-LAN between the ASAs 2, it will be just half of the SAs because there won't be ITS created for peers like in the easy vpn tunnel ip address.
Here are the SAs created matching:

EzVPN between Cisco ASA 5505 (with NEM mode) and Ciscoo 881 Roure
Hi friends,
I configured the Cisco ASA 5505 and Cisco router with DMVPN 881. 3 offices works very well but one office remains failure. I did the same configuration for all facilities but this router does not work. Any ideas?
Please find below the exit of 881 router Cisco:

The debug version, it seems that there is no communication on UDP/500 possible between devices. Maybe something is blocking who?

Problem with ASA 5505 VPN remote access
After about 1 year to have the VPN Client from Cisco connection to an ASA 5505 with no problems, all of a sudden one day it stops working. The customer is able to get a connection to the ASA and browse the local network for only about 30 seconds after the connection. After that, no access is available to the network behind the ASA. I have tried everything I can think of to try to solve the problem, but at this point, I'm just banging my head against a wall. Anyone know what could cause this?
Here is the cfg running of the ASA

Remote IPSec VPN - client Windows 7 and ASA 5505
Hello
I'm having trouble with configuring IPSec VPN with Cisco ASA 5505 and Windows 7 client native VPN remotely. My client PC Gets the VPN IP pool address and can access a remote network behind ASA, but then I lose my internet connection. I read that this should be a problem with the split tunneling, but I did as it says here and no luck.
Windows VPN Client settings, if I uncheck "use default gateway on remote network" I have an internet connection (given that the customer is using a local gateway), but then I can't ping remote network.
In the log, I see the warnings of this type:
TCP connection of disassembly 256 for outside:192.168.150.1/49562 to outside:213.199.181.90/80 duration 0: 00:00 0 stream bytes is a loopback (cisco)
I have attached my configuration file (without configuring split tunneling, I tried). If you need additional newspapers, I'll send them right away.
Thank you for your help.
Petar Koraca
That's what you would have needed on versions 8.3 and earlier versions:
permit same-security-traffic intra-interface
Global 1 interface (outside)
NAT (outside) 1 192.168.150.0 255.255.255.0
However I see that you are running 8.4 so I think that all you need is this (I never did on 8.4 so it may not be accurate)
permit same-security-traffic intra-interface
network of the NETWORK_OBJ_192.168.150.0_24 object
dynamic NAT interface (outdoors, outdoor)
Give it a shot and let me know how it goes.

Rookie of the ASA 5505 - cannot ping remote site or vice versa
Hi, I am trying configure an ipsec to an ASA 5505 (8.4) for a Sophos UTM (9.2)
Internet, etc. is in place and accessible. IPSec tunnel is also but I can't pass the traffic through it.
I get this message in the logs:
3 August 5, 2014 22:38:52 81.111.111.156 82.222.222.38 Refuse the Protocol entering 50 CBC outdoor: 81.111.111.156 outside dst: 82.222.222.38 SITE has (ASA 5505) = 82.222.222.38
SITE B (UTM 9) = 81.111.111.156Pointers would be good because it's the first time I tried this. Thank you.

ciscoasa #.Hello
Watching your sh crypto ipsec output... I can see packets are getting wrapped... average packets out of the peer 88.222.222.38 network and I do not see the package back from the site of the UTM 81.111.111.156 at the ASA... This means that the UTM Firewall either don't know the package or not able to get the return package... Exchange of routing is there... but you need to check LAN to another counterpart of site...
Please check the card encryption (it must match on both ends), NAT (exemption should be there @ both ends) and referral to the ends of the LAN...
I suggest you try with the crypto wthout specific port card... say source LAN to LAN with any port destination...

ASA 5505 - remote access VPN to access various internal networks
Hi all
A customer has an ASA 5505 with a remote access vpn. They are moving their internal network to a new regime and that you would be the users who come on the vpn to access the existing and new networks. Currently can only access the existing. When users connect to access remote vpn, the asa gave them the address 192.168.199.x. The current internal network is 200.190.1.x and that they would reach their new network of 10.120.110.x.
Here is the config:

Cisco ASA 5505 remote VPN access to the local network
I have installed two ASA 5505 VPN site to site that works perfectly. Now, I also need to have 1 customer site to remote access VPN with Cisco VPN dialer. I can get the VPN dialer to connect the VPN and get a VPN IP address, but I do not have access to the remote network. can someone take a look and see what I'm missing? I have attached the ASA running config.
Apologize for the misunderstanding.
To access the remote vpn client 10.10.100.x subnet, the vpn-filter ACL is the opposite.
Please please share the following ACL:

On ASA 5505 VPN cannot access remote (LAN)
I have an ASA 5505 upward and running, all static NAT statements I need to forward ports to the internal services such as smtp, desktop remotely and it works very well, however I have set up an IPSEC vpn connection that authenticates to our DC and part works. However, after I connect and cannot ping anything on the local network or access services. I don't know what a NAT statement I have corrected. Here is the config. I really need to get this up and going tomorrow. Thanks for any help.
Tyler
Just remove the line of nat (outside) and ACL outside_nat0_outbound.
And talk about these statements:
IPSec-1 sysopt connection permit... (If it is disabled, you can check with sh run sysopt).
2, crypto isakmp nat traversal 10 or 20
3 no NAT ACL, mention your local subnets as the source and vpn client as the destination.
4, create the other ACL (ST) with different name and source and destination like no nat ACL.
5, then type nat (inside) 0 access-list sheep
6, in the dwgavpn group policy, talk to splittunnel tunnelspecified and mention the tunnel split ACL (ST).

Configure the ASa 5505 of remote site by using ASDM
I would like to be able to administer the ASA 5505 from another site, which is connected via a LAN of Ipsec site-to-site.
How to activate this feature?
Hello
You can remotely administer an ASA using the public IP address (via the Internet), or through the tunnel to the private IP address.
You can reach the private IP address by activating the command:
management-access inside
You can access the ASA by IP address private via CLI or GUI.

a public access remote vpn from an inside interface asa 5505
I'm trying to see if it is possible to accomplish what I am trying. I have an ASA 5505 with the following configuration.
1. There is an external connection, connected to the ISP. Let's say that it is 10.1.1.1/24 for ease. There is a remote VPN configuration as the access of people through this interface.
2. There's the inside network, which is the normal LAN. It's cable system in the office. to say that it is 172.20.0.1/24.
3. There is a wireless network on a VLAN separate called WLAN. It has an IP of 192.168.1.1/24. There is an ACL allowing traffic to that VLAN to the public internet.
Essentially, I would like users to be able to use the same VPN settings they use when connecting from outside of the Office when you are connected to WIFI.
Also, I would like that they can access public IP addresses that I have NAT would be to internal servers. In this way, they can use IP addresses when they use on the public internet.
Is this possible?
Hello
Well that's not going to be possible, the only thing you can really do is to activate the crypto map on the WLAN facing interface, by design, you cannot not access VPN, ping or manage the device on an interface which is not directly connected to you.
I hope this helps.

SCP behind the ASA 5505 may not help ping an internet address,.
There must be a problem of ACL configuration. How to configure the ASA 5505 so that computers
behind an internet can ping 4.2.2.2 such IP address or www.google.com.
Thank you
David
If you have no ACLs on the external interface, please use the following command to allow ICMP through the ASA.
fixup protocol icmp.
So try and ping. Let me know if this helps.
Also, please give us a little more in detail so that we can understand and help you better
See you soon,.
