• Error messages when you move files PSE13 and PSE14

  I am reorganizing my records of PSE 14.1 (and a few hours before using the PES 13) on Windows 10. This means that I'm moving them from one disk to another using the view of folders on the left panel of the PES.

  Everything goes very well with the first shift after the launch of PSE. No error message and the files in the folder find you in the right place with the folder.

  But for much of the subsequent move there is several error message boxes that must be pressed one by one to move forward. Much more than the number of files involved. However, ultimately files and folders get into their expected places. But with dozens and dozens of needless (?) Click on the OK button.

  Error messages that I see are

  • "A folder with the same name already exist in the requested location" - which is patently false, as I'm only moving called records and verifying that I won't have existing folders with the same name instead of the target. The record was 16 photos inside and the message popped up 55 times.
  • "The operation could not be performed. "The error occurred because of invalid characters, read only location or existing folder with the same name"-this comes very often after the message stated above, but not always. And in multiples as well.

  And every now and then the move operation is going well through.

  I tried to understand if there is a model - but nothing so far... I use no "special characters" in the filenames etc...

  Is there another way to move the folders? Is there a solution to this behavior?

  I did not PSE14 because I'm away from home now. I've already met these messages before, and I think you are right that the first time you move a folder to a new empty destination tree, you do not have problems. I would not be surprised if there was a real bug in the display of folders when you move files repeatedly, but I was not able to reproduce the problem. A possible source of problems would be the way the folder hierarchy is updated in elements; I guess that to keep this folder updated tree, there is a procedure of "cache" to speed up the process (folders display in the tree should work with an image of the Explorer, supplemented by information in the catalog itself). Older versions were very buggy in folders view, but I'm not sure that the current version (since PSE11) is absolutely foolproof.

  Move the folders step by step from the Explorer and reconnect immediately seem to be the best in your case.

  If you set the link to the PDF files, then use the command "Go to a page view", then link to the specific location in the file that you want to run when the user clicks on the link. If you have a link to other file formats, then use the command "open a file". • I do not understand the structure of files in lightroom

  I use ligtroom for a little while now, and I never really took the time to try to understand the structure of files in lightroom. Looking at it now, I'm totally confused.

  I'm on vacation and take tons of pictures and their import to my laptop (and an external hard drive).

  Since my trip is coming to an end, I'm wondering how to transfer all these catalogs to my office when I get home. Without messing up all the files that are already there.

  So I start looking at my Lightroom folders in my documents, and I like lightroom 6 6 develop records, 2 6 lightroom develop files previews.irdata, which I am unable to open and have no idea what is in them.

  And I have a folder on my desktop called new lightroom 6, which has a file called lightroom 6 in which has all my latest pix.

  How to consolidate this mess when I know not what is half of the files because I can't open most of them?

  Lightroom does not really use a file structure, it's a database.

  The photos must be in a folder somewhere in your operating system, and when you import a photo into Lightroom, the location of the actual folder and file name is entered in the Lightroom database, so now Lightroom knows where your photo.

  Now, I don't know it that all of these folders on your computer that you describe. You'll have to sort this possibility, somehow, perhaps by opening each folder Lightroom (not in your operating system) to see the benefits. Now, when you look in your operating system, you must find all the folders that contain pictures of Lightroom (you just find these files in the previous sentence), as well as the folder that contains your catalog and presets and preferences file.   When you share a public link, the document is downloaded into the cloud of document so that users who receive the link can download the document.

  However, it does not appear that you have completed the workflow (in fact sent a link to anyone) so it is unlikely that someone has seen the document. For instructions on sharing, see Adobe Acrobat Reader for Android help: print, share, e-mail.

  If you has not sent the link to someone specifically through gmail or some other app (step 5 in the instructions), then no one, but you can view the document.

  To remove the file from your personal cloud storage space, connect to https://cloud.acrobat.com/, go to file and delete the file.

  I understand that Adobe staff has chosen drivers scanner to blame for the problem. And I have read the discussions through last year (very long and annoying when all you want is a fix). But I'm not set on several things that do not add to the top.

  First of all, I'll go through the symptoms, for the sake of all readers. Photoshop users have reported Photoshop crashing when they select file / automate / lots on the menu for years. This problem has gotten a lot worse (widespread) since the release of version 12.0.4. The problem affects apparently only those whose Train compatible scanners and who installed optional Twain from Macromedia. I never read how someone came to this conclusion, but the drivers scanner are being blamed. The accepted workaround solution is to disable or remove Twain from Macromedia.

  Secondly, I would like to point out that Photoshop works normally when you use the Twain plugin. I can scan pictures and they are imported directly into Photoshop without any problem. It was the case before the 12.0.4 updated and always is the case at present.

  Thirdly, I want to ask my question most pressing. That by selecting 'Batch '.... "has he to do with the drivers scanner? In other words, what possibly could Photoshop do with drivers to scan when selecting 'Batch '.... "it does not when in fact uses the drivers?

  Finally, I'll point out that I am a developer of software over 30 years. So I understand how it could somehow work in the details that the source of the problem is really drivers scanner buggy. However, as a programmer with a lot of experience dealing with common problems in device driver API, I know that good practice is to wait for something. If Photoshop starts a process that calls for someone to another software API, it should amortize this call with appropriate exception error handling.   When you run the actions for the Batch command, updates to Photoshop it's State control/menu to see what commands are enabled or disabled depending on the State of the document changed by actions.  This update appealed at the interface of scanning to see what is available or not, and at that time, some drivers crash.  Since the accident happens in the third-party code running in the context of Photoshop - it there was not much Photoshop can do to get it back (there are exceptions, but it could not work beyond the limits of the OS and DLLS).

  In Photoshop CS6, we spent a little time to find out why they were crashing (apparently there was some assumption on the State of the GUI application) and how we could avoid if crush in these circumstances - and now CS6 avoids accidents in the Batch command even with the TWAIN plugin and drivers are loaded.

  The error occurs after the progress bar support about everything.  Other files will be open, and work of Illustrator well except for these 2 files (which are very similar, just different color) I am able to view these PDF files in Acrobat, but not in Illustrator.

  The two files open fine here (with the exception of missing linked raster files and a missing font).

  Try to open on another machine. That could help.

  I found that I can link several files InDesign in a single InDesign Master document using the "Place" command which allows me or others make changes in each separate and then InDesign file update the links in the document master InDesign through the links Panel. I wonder what others think to do this and what advantages or disadvantages anyone experienced using this layout technique. For example, how are the links within the files of individual work if say one of them is broken, how will this affect the file in the Master. Since it is possible to link the InDesign Documents in a Master InDesign file, this is something that should be done?

  I have a project that requires the design of variable signs that need to be updated, and then create a link to a Master InDesign document. For the first round, I used the traditional way of building the panels in Photoshop and placing them in the InDesign document, that works pretty well and I am able to recreate a link to them. Howerer, I wonder if multiple files using InDesign will work out because I can then use paragraph, character and Styles of object as well as the other tool in InDesign to maintain consistent all the. Please let me know your opinion on this.

  I put a compressed file to the printer if I have an option at all. The high resolution PDF on export correctly, has all the necessary information, and none of th e hassles with fonts or the missing links that can occur when you work with native files.

  It seems that Captivate is only able to connect to external files via absolute links. In other words, when I create a click box that opens a file and select a file that is located on my development machine, the project will always look this file on my hard drive, even once it is posted on the Web. It's extremely frustrating, and I have not found a work around.
  
  Please help me identify a way to bind using a relative path. In other words, the project will solve it is the current residence and search for content in the directory, it lies in or specified directories under this location.   According to the agreements that you have described, I was able to create workable links. This should be widely published, I'm sure that many other authors is on the same problem.

  Note to Adobe: the ability to create relative links should be inside the product option, as in most of the other products I've used.

  I have a ploblem when I save my file, when you use older versions of mac os (max os x) when I save file and you want to replace the old file I just click in the file I want to replace and save, but when I update to macOS Sierra I can't do when I click on file it does not change the name and I have to type.
