• Customize Page templates in the APEX

  Currently, we're about Apex 3.2 and use one of the standard themes (topic 13) which comes with Apex.
  You will need to customize the Page template (level one, level two tabs tabs) to view more information on the footer. It is - what happens if I customize the template tabs one level and in the future if we switch to 4.0, will be these crushed? Even though my changes are much lower (add 2 lines at the bottom of the Page), I want to keep the minimum maintenance in the future. I also have a lot of different applications that subscribe to these custom templates, so that in any change needs to be done, we can change the model to control the application and publish it on all applications for the child.

  Hello

  An update to a new version of Application Express modify any of your models. When you create an application, or switch to a new theme in an existing application, you create a copy of the chosen theme. If all of the models are so specific to your application. If you choose a different theme, or after the upgrade to 4.0, choose to move to one of the new themes, then you will need to redo your changes in this new theme. But of course, you can simply continue using your original theme, as long as you want.

• How can I customize the template of Contacts to include the fields of my choice?

  I have my contacts in an excel file and intend to import contacts into a CSV file. No problem. But Contacts model uses a lot of fields I don't need (such as Pager) and I see no way to customize more compared to what I need.  I want change, not the mapping of the fields to the options in the default template. In Contacts, in the view drop-down list, choose the folder to view the details. The selection becomes a column header and can be used as a filter. It seems to be more than 100 selections.  How to use these matach to a field in the Contact model? Example: 'Product name' is one of the details (column header) I choose, but there is no corresponding information in the Contact model, 'Product name' isn't one of the choices when mapping fields during import.

• Customization of Template Portal WebCenter (spaces)

  I will try to find how to solve this problem or any workaround will help achieve the following task without using 'Webcenter Portal framework'.

  I need to use Oracle Webcenter Portal (spaces) as a managed server.

  Question:

  I have more CSS and I need to be applied on the portal based on logged in user or the location that the user used to connect to the portal. How can I imeplemnt this model webcenter? I guess I have to create the parameter will get a value back bean. I don't know how to inject that bean to the portal to read the value of it in front of the loading gate.

  I need to load the CSS to the customer for each user.

  I have only a public space a unlimited of CSS files. The idea is to use Ajax o backing bean or whatever to read the value of database and set it to CSS path before loading the portal.

  I can add a blank page and set a value to this topic, but how do I send it to the portal model.

  The scenario:

Is it possible to change the look of the 'good' "try again," buttons etc and save these changes to the model tests of slides for T/F, multiple CHOICE model? I prefer upload images I designed in place and place the default options.

  Yes, this can be done using the Style of the object manager in the Edit menu.

  You can create a customized for all your standard items as well as quizzes and then apply them on your project page/appearance. the best part is you can export them so can usem in another project.

• Ubuntu/Debian comments missing in VSphere 5 customization

  It seems that comments customization support for Debian/Ubuntu and other Linux OSes has been removed in VSphere 5. He worked at 3.5, 4.0 and 4.1, and there is no mention of his withdrawal in the VSphere 5 release notes.

  Our automated deployment scripts are based on personalization of comments, so now we have a rollback to 4.1.

  Does anyone know if support customization comments for Ubuntu/Debian will be restored in the future VSphere releases/patches?

  I'm trying to customize the button model for the large buttons to theme 26 APEX 4.2.

  Basically, I want to create a red button. Then I copied the big model button on a new one called big red button - to consider.

  Now, I look through the model, see there #BUTTON_ATTRIBUTES # and #BUTTON_CSS_CLASSES # that references CSS files in i/css/apex.min. A CSS that allows appearance buttons.

  Little lost on what would be the best way or practice to customize the templates? I would replace the #BUTTON_CSS_CLASSES # with the new style sheet (something like #WORKSPACE_IMAGES #custom.css)?

  Theme/template management is one area have very little experience.

  I created a new object, and I would like to be able to change this object.

  To do this, I intend to use the designer and to create a form template.

  I copy and paste a file .vif and tried to edit the copy to customize the template, but I just got a binary content.

  We have a generic form in Q1IM.

  This can be used to provide forms of entry/modification for objects in Q1IM.

  Please take a look in the 'Configuration' documentation and search for "generic form.

  In the chapter "Using a generic form" you will find the necessary information.

• Profile Manager: set default browser on managed Mac

  Run Server.app on OS X 10.10.5. Things are generally a lot. But there are two elements which, for the life of me, I can't find a .plist to:

  1. Default browser.
  2. Toggle natural scroll.

  We use Chrome, often against the guest account, which is annoying to always say the Mac Yes, 'make Chrome my default' over and over again.

  And most of my colleagues and students don't like "natural scroll" so I want that it by default.

  Google has failed me. Any help is appreciated.

  If you use the guest account, you are generating a file on each connection and destroy on every disconnection.  Why don't you just customize the template of the user so that it contains the values that you want to push?  Otherwise, you generate custom profiles that can be difficult to build.

  The default browser setting is stored in:

  List of ~/Library/Preferences/com. Apple.LaunchServices/com. Apple.LaunchServices.Secure.p

  The syntax of this file is a little funky, I suggest creating the file the way you want and then copy the plist in the model of the user.  For example, create an account on a machine.  Let's say the account is jeff.  You can use this command, once the file is created containing the default browser settings:

  sudo cp-r /Users/jeff/Library/Preferences/com.apple.LaunchServices system/library/User\ Template/English.lproj/Library/Preferences/

  This copies the entire com.apple.LaunchServices folder in the Preferences of the model folder.

  With respect to the direction of travel, it is located in the invisible. GlobalPreferences.plist file.  The key is com.apple.swipescrolldirection and you can set this value in the model of the user, allowing all instances of comments to inherit the setting.  An example of the command is:

  sudo write system/library/User\ Template/English.lproj/Library/Preferences/. GlobalPreferences.plist com.apple.swipescrolldirection - bool FALSE

  If I remember, that a value will work for a trackpad and a magic mouse.

  I noticed that with a base on 5 ACS configuration I can't the difference between PEAP I want to authenticate to AD and customers PEAP that I want to authenticate with a created database locally on GBA. All customers, no matter what SSID, they are connected, what will be judged against the AD if it does not match the customer is invited to a user name and password to be authenticated on the local information store.

  Can someone point me to some documentaion which describes how I can separate the two, so that clients on one SSID are checked against the AD and customers on another are checked by the local information store.

  One of the attributes that the WLC sends a RADIUS authentication request is the Called-Station-ID field. This field contains the BSSID and ESSID (name of the WLAN), the client attempts to access, which means you can do a comparison on this field as a condition of your access rule. The format is xx-xx-xx-xx-xx-xx:wlanName. We don't really care the BSSID, but the WIFI network at the end of this string is very useful.

  Here's how you can use this attribute value to influence political decisions access:

  1. create a custom (under the elements of the policy) session state type IETF RADIUS using the Called-Station-ID (not the Calling-Station-ID).

  2 customize your template access policy so that your new custom session state is available at your access policies

  3. change your strategy of access: a) check the custom session state to enable it, b) choose the operator "ends by" and c) type the name of your WLAN (not case sensitive).

• VCSA Scripted/vcsa-6 deploy VMware issue

  Hi all

  I am trying to install VMware 6.0 vCSA scripted using the new vcsa - deploy, but I am struck by a strange error that I'm not quite sure how solve (the last entry in the log says permission denied, which is weird).

  The process I have is:

  Overview:

  • Extract the downloaded vCSA ISO 6.0 on my local machine
  • Download the extracted directories vCSA 6.0 on my Linux server: / home/vi-admin/vmware-vcsa
  • Set the x flag on the vcsa script deployment and ovftool/ovftool.bin files + sign
  • Customize the /templates/full_conf.json for my deployment file and copy it into/vcsa-cli-install/lin64 for ease
  • Change my working directory to be/vcsa-cli-install/lin64
  • Run. / vcsa - deploy full_conf.json
  • At this point, I get the error message below

  Error:

  Start vCSA Installer command line to deploy vCSA "Server01", a built-in node.

  Please see/tmp/vcsa-cli-install-P2jqzslog for more logging information.

  Run the installer with "-v" or "-verbose" to record detailed information.

  The SSO password meets the requirements of the installation.

  It seems that this last question was the test DNS which failed, so lesson learned from this adventure, if you perform the deployment by using the new scripted installation, validate your settings first in the GUI.
