Customize the icons of folders on the desktop

I'm trying to customize the folder on the desktop icons and I know well the steps. Until today, I was able to instantly change the after clicking 'apply '. Today, I noticed that the icon will not change unless I restart the pc. However, when I repeat the steps, the 'Customize' tab shows the image of the newly selected icon.  Is this something new? If this isn't the normal course, how can I solve have changed instantly icons?

Thank you

DS

If you have tried to change the shortcut icon on the desktop, by parameters change icon, sometimes do it 2 - 3 times before that change selected icon.
If this does not work, you can try changing the addition of your account under the tabs for security and parameters.
If this is a common problem, you can change the security for the folder Desktop (C:\Users\Your account-utilisateur\Bureau), same procedure, parameters and security, add your account with full rights to the folder.
If dinner you can use advanced security features, change of ownership, to your account and then add the account under approval. If possible change prior to the same owner or administrators.

NB. Version not English this name for the tabs are perhaps not leave right.
It worked in my case.
Instead I lost my shortcuts, and remains mesh around in the corner, so I have to get through the annual versions and rearrange them. Quit often.
He hopes usable & understandable, explanation, despite my bad English skills.

  • Can I customize the location of my desktop icons?

The default seems to be that all the icons are aligned to the left. can I change this to top-aligned or right-aligned?

    Right click on desktop

Uncheck the display-> Auto Arrange icons.

You can then place icons anywhere you want on the desktop,

However, if you want to align the icons automatically to other places like up/right. I don't think you can do, unless you use some third-party applications.

I rebooted and I still had the same problem. I removed the latest windows updates and rebooted.

I can't rename it yet. I can delete files and create new files and copy the existing files.

    Hello

This problem could be related to the mouse settings. Try to change the speed of the mouse buttons and check if it helps:

Change the settings of the mouse

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/change-mouse-settings

It will be useful. If you have additional questions on the computer, please ask your question about Windows and we will be happy to help you.

Hi Rohit... Thanks for your reply.

However, the problem is with the mouse itself. I went there with a mouse to another system of windows desktop 7 I and problems went away.

Here's the weird part, I naturally assumed that I would see the same problems on the desktop.

Much to my surprise the problems did not "transfer"!  the mouse that failed on the laptop is now working very well on the office... so I'll attribute it to the 'EMI of sunspots";-)

    Thanks again
