  PDF files can contain a lot of hidden information. You can't always trust what you see is all that is there...

  About this specific file, my guess is that someone wanted to replace the address so they just put the new text with a white background on the old text and thought which is pretty good. Big mistake. Unless you are using the redaction tool information is still there and is copied when selected, as you can see it coming.

  When I open the file in Acrobat I can clearly see and select the items of old text under the visible text. You must report this problem to the creators of the file and request a better version of it.

  I've been cutting and pasting text from one part of a file to another.  The text to move consisted of several paragraphs.  When I pasted the text in the location in the file, the formatting of the paragraph is replaced by the paragraph format of the paragraph where it was stuck.   I've recently been investigating scripts in InDesign and I have a problem to solve that exceeds my, base, understand.

  I used Rorohiko "Lightning Brain text exporter" to extract text (rtf) of a book.

  The text contains countless anchor text blocks. I would like to be able to select all the text in the block of text anchored, cut and paste it into the document where the anchor element is referenced, and then remove the anchor text (now empty) block.
