  You can use the fixed size option and enter the size in the input fields using the unit of measure of your choice; That is to say in, px, cm etc.

  If there is no selection and you move the selection with the "MOVE TOOL" it will reduce the image

  To move the selection without cutting image, use any 'Sélection' tool instead of the move tool.

  Once I have reduce noise in an image using Nik Colllection set 2 and save, I'm back in Lightroom. However, I do not see a copy of the image, that I worked on-I see yet only one image and it's the original image before exporting to Nik set 2.

  Start at the beginning:

  When you call Nik programs within LR, you create a TIFF file with or without LR adjustments, then the Nik tool is created. When registering save you to this file. This file is part of your LR database.

  By creating a VC, you create a VC in the current folder, which is seen from the Interior of LR, but not outside. But it's the LR database bart.

  What I suspect is that you work from within a collection and especially the last imports collection. I would suggest pointing to an image with the right button of the mouse and using the "go to folder LR" (from memory!). There you should find all your files. (Nik) TIFF files should also be available to the OS (Finder or Explorer).

  The other possibility is that you have applied a filter to display only certain images, and files of VC and Nik files get hidden by the filter.

  It is not as intuitive Vince but you must drag up to navigation in folders, then release.

  I hope explains it to the captain.

  I have only one level of folders deep, but if you have folders in the folders, pretty sure that you can drag it above the folder that you want it to be, i.e. moving the image up a level.

  I used the brush selection (A) tool that has worked well. After the selection is made (the "mobile dash" have been around the whole tree), I went to layer > new > layer by copying. This put the tree on its own layer.

  There were a couple of areas I've airbrushed with the Eraser tool. The checkerboard pattern indicates the transparency.

  You can change the objects in the images pasted regardless of the originals.  But if you double-click or otherwise go objects 'timeline', will you change all instances of that object, including the (s) on the original images.

  to remedy this, create duplicate objects and use the properties panel to switch the original copied with duplicates.  You can then change the duplicates without editing the original.

• Cannot "import and copy it to the new location" when imported into another catalog

  I have only one LR Master catalog on my desktop computer (Mac Pro). When I shoot on location, I use my laptop (MacBookPro retina), with an external HD which stores a temporary catalog of 'Place' LR and photos. Both machines run the Mavericks. When I go home, I connect the external drive 'place' to my desktop, choose "Import an another catalog" and navigate to the catalog 'Place' on the external HD normally I have the option "import and copy to a new location, so that the new originals are moved to my master of library of images on an internal HD dedicated in the MacPro. After the upgrade to 5.6 LR, I no longer get this option in the dialog box. What Miss me? I've done this dozens of times without problem.
