  • Tecra M5 - SD card reader works with the factory settings

    Hi all
My SD card reader has been in place. It will read a few cards of 4 GB and won't read other (usually newer).
All cards in this problem area are Transcend cards 4GB SD (HC or whatever the format more later is)
The cards, the M5 will not read can be read both my PDA, but also an old Tecra 9000 (who will also tell the other 4 GB cards)

The PC was recently engineers have a problem so I asked to look at this problem. They reported that it was a software problem, because if they load the recovery CD (that is, to bring the machine to factory State) the SD card reader reads cards problem OK; Back to my setup and the SD card reader can not read cards SD - error message is "the request cannot be performed because of an i/o device error."

So I guess that I need new drivers. Very well except that it has no drivers for the drive SD card itself. Its a part of the motherboard. There is a 'secure module SD' on the download from Toshiba site and I downloaded and installed the SD Secure module (dated 2008)
However, Device Manager still shows that the SD host controller driver is Microsoft version 01/10/2002 6.0.4069.5

If anyone has ideas on how to fix

  • I have Win7 64 bit ultimate and from time to time when I start PC my card reader drives do not appear in my computer.

I have Win7 64 bit ultimate and from time to time when I start PC my card reader drives do not appear in my computer. Device Manager indicates that they are working correctly. Sometimes my dvd drives disappear. I have to do a system restore to solve this problem. For some reason any Win7 has problems with storage devices. How to stop these dissappearing from my Computer(or not getting a drive letter assigned) storage devices?  It's very frustrating. And, System Restore is not a way to solve this problem, it's just a quick fix. I have three internal hard disks, three hard drives, card reader external drives, USB keys, disks, etc. I need a way to solve this problem when it happens. So far, happened about 9 times in the last six weeks since I installed Win7 64 bit ATU.

There may be an update of the motherboard BIOS to solve the problem.

Otherwise, as your card readers are no doubt attached via USB the usual way to solve this problem would be to uninstall the drives and the USB controllers and devices in the system restore.

  • Multi-card reader don't like to give back the cards Memory Stick Duo Pro 23 Pavilion all-in-one

I want to just make sure I don't do something wrong.

When I plug it into a SD card seats when inserted about 2/3 of the way into the slot and I can easily put my fingers on it to remove it when it's time to take it out.  When I plug the Memory Stick Duo Pro that is not recognized until it is at least inserted 9/10 and I can push completely rinse with a case and am not sure that it has bottomed out or not.  It works fine, but now it is not removable without the use of pliers tweezers.

Is this normal behavior and waited for the mult card reader integrated into 23 all-in-one Pavilion?

I have a more than adequate solution.  I plugged in the little USB card reader that accepts MS Pro Duo in their own homes. This post is therefore more closely to ensure that I'm not missing something obvious.

My guess is that the drive or the motherboard was designed for the case to be a little closer it is.

  • HPE-140F - why aren't my card reader disks does not?

    Hello

I don't know what is happening to here so let me explain what happened to my PC.

I had a hard disk crash.  Before the crash, I had the following text:

C programs, D is the original Image, not sure where the DVD player was, then I got my card reader disks with the I don't know being the H drive, SD card reader and then I got my data like drive J (separate disk) disk, more a drive external backup like K and everything worked very well.

I replaced the main drive, because that's what was the crash, I also spent 1 to 2 TB hard drive, now I have C & D drives is the same DVD as F drive and my drive of current data, e, my external backup hard drive is the same that it is a K.  When I go to Explorer by looking at my computer, I don't see card reader drives, even though I know that if I insert an SD card into the reader, he appears to be one I'm driving.

Different maps I have as long as they don't suddenly change the drive letters (all user folders are not there on C), and I would like to see the card reader disks.

    Someone at - it ideas?

    Thank you

    Bill

I finally found the setting to display hidden records.

They can explain it better that I can and I am happy that it is not my computer.

    Show/hide files, folders or drives

I think I understand also why power drive letters, before I added the disc after everything has been installed, so it was the next available drive letter in disk management, now it comes before everything else, so I finally answered my own questions.

  • SD card reader asks that all cards must be in the format

    Hello

I've seen several posts about this, but no real answer. Most of the posters don't describe their problem, and they do not give all their card reader and the specifications of the computer record. So here's my question and specifications, thanks for the help.

I am a wedding videographer and am currently using the Universal USB 3.0 card reader Verbatim from the videos of my DSLR to my computer. Today, the SDHC slot (and only the SDHC, all other slots we are tested and work correctly) has stopped working and asks me to format my card when it is inserted. After formatting the card, I can then transfer all the files to the card, but after the ejection, then reinsert the card, I am again asked to reformat immediately. Here are my specs and what I've tried so far. I'm clear my cards as it should prepare for a wedding coming up, however, there are some files on the cards, that I prefer not to delete.

My system: Windows 7 Professional (64 bit), the drive is currently connected to one of the 2 USB 3.0 ports (I had the player for 2 years on the same system and it's the first question I've met)

    Trying to correct:
    1. I tried other card slots (CF, miniSD, etc.) and everything works properly and do not require a format to use.
    2. I tried to move the actual USB cable into another port, but the same problem occurs.
    3. I uninstalled and reinstalled the device through the device, without success Manager.
    4. I visually inspected inside the slot itself and, it seems, all the pins and contacts are in place without dirt or visible corrosion.
    5. I did a chkdsk on the cards themselves to ensure that they are not really the issue. No not found errors.
    6. I simply restarted my PC to see if it helped, it only has done it.

I believe it has something to do with the slot being corrupt (I think our food can have out a moment last night and caused corruption), suggestions on how to fix this problem without having to simply buy a new player (taking into account that a single slot currently not working)?

    Thank you!
    Brock

    Hi Torunski Brock,

The details you have given is used to determine the troubleshooting steps to isolate the unit in question.

Here are a few suggestions, try, let us know if it helps.

    1. Kaspersky Anti-virus scan on all your storage devices.
    2. Run the System File Checker to detect and repair corrupt files.
    3. Run Windows update and see if there is any updated driver for Usb devices. Click the Start button> Control Panel> system and security> Check for Updates.
    4. Click here for more information about disk management. (You can follow the procedure on this link on the formatting using disk for the reader of card memory management).

In case the same thing happens, that means a hardware fault on the card reader.

    Thank you.

  • Tecra S1 - USB ports (all) and card reader does not

    Hello

Just got a 2nd user Tecra S1. I was told that the drive SD card and USB ports do not work. Card reader (and card PCMCIA USB ports) works as well as the ps/2 port.

Any ideas anyone? USB ports turn on power on indicators key USB etc but nothing is recognized under XP.

    See you soon

    Hello

Maybe the USB ports listed in the devices with exclamation points Manager yellow. Did you check that?
In addition, I would recommend updating the chipset driver. Visit the Toshiba site for an update:
    http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com-online decision-making supported Downloads & => Download drivers

If you also received a Toshiba Recovery disk you may have to use it. The HARD disk will be wiped and XP will be installed all the drivers and tools.

  • flags of the 23 all-in-one read is not all of the improved memory

Recently, I upgraded my 23 Pavilion all in one model 23-12131 with 16 GB of Ram.

When I turned on the computer back I got, it's a black screen and a tone continues.

I went back and re-inserted the stick 4 GB supplied with the machine to make sure that I didn't change something and it came OK.

Then, I let the 4 level primary and inserted 8 Gb GB secondary.  Computer came on but recognized only 4 GB,.

Then I tried just the 8Gb at the primary level in itself.  Computer is entered correctly and recognized 8 Gb.

I then inserted the second stick of 8 GB in the secondary school and the other stick 8 GB of on primary level and recognized only computer 8 GB.  Should have recognized all the 16 GB inserted

Finally, I inserted the 8 Gb in the primary and the original 4 GB in teaching secondary, is come computer, but only recognized the 8GB instead of 12 GB

Conclusion.  Computer will only recognize 8 GB.  Card say that it will recognize 16 GB.  What should I do?

    Windows 64-bit operating system 8.1

Not quite sure how I did this, but finally managed to access the Bios, fast finger F10 at startup... Did not have any change simply read the tab system 16 GB has been installed.  You leave, does not save any changes, Brough machine upwards and 'voila' I don't read 16 GB of Ram.  Maybe I just had to tickle the bios or something.  For anyone else having similar problems, give it a try...

    Problem solved for now

    Something to try...

OK... you have an external or internal USB media player?

Insert the memory card into the correct location on the media player...
    If open windows... Close them.

When the card is inserted... If you go to... Start / computer... is
player card on one or several removable disks?
(You could say, "devices with... of removable storage")

    Removable (e :)) drive
    Removable disk (e :))
    Removable drive (g)

If_Yes_you can download photos from there. Left click
the drive letter that corresponds to the memory card must
display the directory of the card and you can copy and paste or
Drag and drop the photos of your choice in a folder on your hard drive
    drive.

Just a select group of photos do a right-click and choose... Copy...
then navigate to the folder that you want, and then right-click the
    folder and choose Paste.

Also, adjust your AutoPlay settings may be worth a try:

  • Recovery and system recovery disks don't work is not on the MS213 Pavilion (All in One)

    Hello

I ordered the HP recovery discs as F11 will not work. I got 4 disks with one separated from the others. He said "use this first! The other 3 were combined, and they are marked the system recovery and disc 1 of 3, 2, 3 and so on. I restart the computer with the disk that says use this first. The disc starts to load and says loading files of Windows, or somehting like that. Then he said: Windows startup. I don't get the Recovery Manager menu. After a few seconds it ejects the disc, and there are 3 pictures on the screen, at the top left is like a circle with a check mark in it. With an arrow, it points to an ejected drive of a computer image on the disc tray. And it points to a picture of a computer with 3 drives. It seems that he tells me to put in the next disc. I put in one that is graduated from 1 to 3, the light on the drive flashes, and then nothing happens, regardless how long wait. If, instead of starting with the disk that says this first use, I start with the one who said that 1 of 3, after loading Windows files, it says something like "this disc is not for this computer.

    System information:

    HP Pavilion MS213 all-in-one

    Windows 7 64 bit

    Background:

It is a friend's computer. She was making a mistake "code purple" with the resumption of F11. She had someone watching and I don't know what they were doing, but when I got it, I was getting an error at startup. somehting like cannot find the Boot...

I found a commercial version of Win 7 64 bit standalone disc and installed on the machine. It runs great, but it had to be for troubleshooting only, until I have the recovery disks.

So, I'm stuck and would appreciate any help. I thought initially upgraded to Windows 8, but I thought that the recovery disks will be cheaper, and also the friend doesn't have to go through the inclination of windows 8.

I will be happy to provide more information if necessary.

If you can read the license key Microsoft Windows 7 of 25 characters related to the machine, you can download a Windows 7 ISO file to burn to a DVD. Remember, it is the version that is listed on the Microsoft COA sticker.

I understand that you have a problem with the smart card reader and wanted to help you!  I see that this problem started after the upgrade of OS Windows 10.

It seems that there are no Windows 10 drivers available for your product on the HP site.  It seems that Windows 10 drivers can be pushed through Windows Update.  Alternatively, you can try to check this site as well:

HP products - where to find Windows 10 drivers and software for my model?

If you have problems to install the drivers, you can use the tool on the following site:

Open the Windows Update troubleshooting tool

It is possible that the drivers are not available for your product.  If this is the case, or the drivers you found do not work, try to use the solutions on this site to work around the problem and let me know how it goes: how: install and update drivers in Windows 10

Please let me know if this information helps you solve the problem by marking this message as 'accept as Solution', this will help others easily find the information they seek.  In addition, by clicking on the Thumbs up below is a great way to say thank you!
