  Sorry, still no magic solution for this - instructions to 'fix' Windows 7 are not so different from those proposed in your first application.

  Possible software patches for webcam in Windows 7 are explained in this document:

  If you have tried the Hard Reset, if you tried to reinstall your driver, if you tried to check the BIOS... then the webcam can be broken.

  Webcam of tiny and delicate wires break, crush or break away from the camera.  It is not so expensive to fix, but you cannot fix a broken webcam with software.  You will need to send (or take) the computer to have the webcam repair.  It's sad - it happens.

  One of my notebooks had a broken webcam and the laptop was new, too.  HP fixed the son, returned the laptop and everything was good after that.  So, is it broken wires for you?  Unknown;  There are a few software patches to pass and then you might consider, in fact, the webcam is broken.

  You can always take the laptop to a local repair shop and get a notice.  This isn't a real difficulty expensive even if it is the offending material.

The download was for laptop HP Premium. I have relaized it too late! I downloaded the file. • Pavilion dv6-6149nr: Cyber Link you CAM NOT WORING

  The Link Cyber you Cam my, HP Pavilion dv6-6149nr Entertaiment PC, computer stopped fuction. When I click on the icon to open the webcam the screen has a pop up that States that there is no webcam attached. In Windows features, I learned that the device works properly.

  The ONLY icons on the screen for the webcam that fuction is to select the photos only, only, video or photos and video. The buttons remove and e-mail work, but NOTHING else.

  I contacted the people at Cyber link Web Cam and have not yet obtained all the councils that solves the problem.

  I traced my hard drive and that did not work.

  My computer has the Windows 7 Home Premium OS with Service Pack One.

  Processor: AMD A6 - 3400 APU with Radeon HD 1.40gz graphics card

  RAM: 8 GB

  CS5 is several versions back and does not the recent Camera Raw updates in native mode, you can, however, use the converter DNG (Digital Negative) to convert your images to DNG and CS5 format should be able to open those.   CyberLink Power 2 Go came pre-installed on my computer laptop dv6 - 7323 c 1 HP Envy.  While I was in CyberLink you Cam, I think I asked to download 2 GB Power, not realizing that it was already installed.  Now I get notifications in HP Support Assistant for download of Power 2 Go.  What should I do?

  What type of problem are you having with Norton?  Mine did not come with it preinstalled, but HP has provided me with a licensed copy of Norton Internet Security 2012. I did have one problem with it on Windows 7, which was the system delivered oerating, nor on the OS of Windows 8 Pro that HP has graciously provided to level.

  If Windows 8 is an operating system installed, be sure and make up an image to refresh custom Windows 8. It will save you a lot of hassle.

  I'll make a few suggestions here based on an upgrade in situ at W8 and not a pure install _ a clean installation being a total erase of the disk to install W8, rather then by installing W8 while there is W7 disk.

  Go to programs and features and uninstall your software Cyberlink you Cam.

  Download CCleaner and run a registry cleaner as many times as necessary until it finds nothing and reboot.

  Run again and if it still finds things, repeat the process until it finds nothing.

  Do not use any other registry cleaner.

  Install your YouCam software and restart.

  Save the file on the desktop and install it from there, not in a temporary folder.

  Restart once it's done.

  If this doean can't work, try to do a clean install, assuming that it was an upgrade.

  If you need a web cam to malfunction, return to W7.

  Did you create your recovery media or the recovery still on the hard drive partition and it is healthy?

  Another thing to try is to upgrade the BIOS, if you did not. However, there is nothing in the updates which improves the functionality of the web cam in W8.

  If you do not want to update the BIOS, post again for the detailed instructions, it do not try your self.

  I have the huge echo and the shrill sounds (unbearable) unless I turn to low volume. But then, no one can hear me on my webcam. In other words if I turn down the sound so don't not to have that sound terrible echo / piercing, any registration that I do with the installed at the factory, Cyberlink you Cam 5 is useless except for lipreaders.

  Well I think that if you double click on the microphone, go into its properties, then you click on the tab called record, you should have the helping hand and sound levels, put them in max.
