    Hello

I found an interesting document from Toshiba on their homepage "information" updated Microsoft Windows XP SP2.

    Go to http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com

then download and drivers and choose your machine.

In this document, we could see the Driver after the upgrade to SP2. Maybe if you bring drivers and tools updates your BSOD is gone!

  • Error BSOD BAD_POOL_HEADER "based EQUALITY DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR MEMORY_MANAGEMENT"

Original title: Win7 - several daily BSOD.

Several times a day I'm especially crashed with a BSOD, but it freezes sometimes "simply".  I did a disk check and a memory test.  I can go back to last August, but I suspect that will not work, because it hangs in Mode safe and even crashes if I run Linux on a CD.

I see a different reason for each accident, in the window that opens after the re-login, the BSOD is not always tell me why, but they were all multiple:

    BAD_POOL_HEADER
    DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR-EQUAL
    MEMORY_MANAGEMENT
    PFN_LIST_CORRUPT

I received this "ROM" only once to a BSOD: "win32k.sys attempt to write in ROM.

But I got a warning ROME to each logon for the weeks severak.  RAID screen said: "WARNING: have the option ROM cannot be invoked"and it "feels" simply as a problem of memory SINGLE stock holding still during the last weeks. " (Click to open an email in Outlook can get me the circle of rotation as long as 30 seconds)  This alert has disappeared as I was trying to bugs BSOD.

All my files are in a unique OneDrive zip archive.  I've included the STOP codes that I get when reconnected (txt file), the dmp and xml files... two zips and a text file in a single archive.  There are fewer than I expected with so many accidents in the txt file.

You have updated to the latest version of the BIOS? Yes.

Your drivers are up to date?  Yes.

Are you running the driver version 1.1 for the SSD is Samsung?  Yes

Do you use UEFI in AHCI mode?  Yes

You have reloaded your operating system from scratch?  Yes.

I'm curious to know after you have reinstalled Windows, how long to wait before installing programs or drivers, just to let the system run Windows only and see if you still receive the error?  I'm almost tempted to suggest working with the system in SafeMode overnight and check in the morning to see if there are blue screens.

I could check the resource monitor and see if all programs stand using an abnormal amount of system resources, open Task Manager (press the windows with the x button, choose Task Manager) click on the performance tab and then click the resource monitor button. You can see at a glance which fits CPU, memory, disk and network resources and maybe get a hint about what is at the origin of the problem.

I you will be shooting a friendship, with the erratic error request so I'm careful about suggesting replacements of parts, but if the problem persists, it may be something to consider.

  • What the correct update BIOS for my Lenovo R61?

    Main question:

I have a Lenovo R61 15.4 "laptop computer screen with IEEE. 1394  What is the good BIOS update version for my system?

    * The version on the Web the matrix file BIOS Lenovo page, 7KET72WW (1.22 - 1, 06), seems wrong and outdated compared to this page:

    http://74.125.45.104/search?q=cache: jqsAECxdXDoJ:www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/MIGR-68183.html+7OET24WW&hl=en&ct=clnk&cd=5&gl=us

which indicates that it should be 7OETC1WW (2.21). **

    Background:

This Lenovo R61 laptop has always been slow and difficult, with performance much worse than my old XP system with worst record.  Originally, I tried to reinstall Vista to remove the useless factory software I thought may be responsible for slowing down the system.  This was the beginning of many problems.  I had added a stick of 1 GB 2 brand new RAM for the system, and I couldn't properly reinstall Vista with the ThinkVantage tools.  When I contacted the support, they told me it was due to the system are different from the original specifications (additional RAM).  It's ridiculous, but also to correct.  In addition, my Windows key at the bottom of the laptop sticker was scratched and unreadable, directly from the factory.  Support told me that the key is not useful or necessary because the only way to reinstall Vista is using the ThinkVantage tools.  Once again, ridiculous, but after removing my extra RAM, I was able to reinstall Vista.  This did not help the performance, even with the additional software deleted.

    On the current problem:

I have experience several daily BSOD. Analysis of accident of Vista generally points to the USB driver, sometimes the network adapter driver and often does not return anything.

I want to update my BIOS, but I don't know which version to use.  According to the information of the system, my system model is 8932CTO. The current system BIOS is the 7OET24WW version (1.03).  I did a search on Google for this BIOS and found the following cached page:

    [ http://74.125.45.104/search?q=cache: jqsAECxdXDoJ:www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/MIGR-68183.html+7OET24WW&hl=en&ct=clnk&cd=5&gl=us] It lists the following:

This version supports the following systems:
    -ThinkPad R61 - 15.4-inch wide screen models
    Machine types: 8930 8933, 8934, 8935, 8936, 8937
-ThinkPad R61i - model widescreen 15.4 inches with IEEE 1394
    Computer type: 8932

The first version of this list, 7OET24WW (1.03) matches the BIOS on my system, which indicates that I have to upgrade to the current version, 7OETC1WW (2.21).

This page shows that my system model supports IEEE 1394 (Firewire), and of course, the Device Manager shows a RICOH OHCI Compliant IEEE 1394 Host Controller, even if my laptop is not a firewire port!  Then...

QUESTION: why does my laptop have an IEEE 1394 controller, but no port?  It is used to something else? Safely disable the controller driver if it is pointless?

The same page also lists the history of BIOS for thise models, and the current BIOS version does not match the name on the matrix of the file BIOS Lenovo - ThinkPad page here: http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/document.do?lndocid=BMOE-3VAM8Y#r

My computer is a R61 widescreen 15.4 inches with IEEE 1394 (at least the controller).  NONE OF THESE VERSIONS OF BIOS MATCHES THE OTHER PAGE, I FOUND, WHICH SEEMS MORE ACCURATE!  Also, only one of the many, many BIOS versions presented on this page are from 2008.  So the page of the Lenovo BIOS file matrix totally out of date or what?

What version of BIOS should I use to upgrade my system, and what else can I diagnose these BSOD and performance problems?

Agotthelf is correct; 2.21 is the latest version of the BIOS, and to install it, you must burn it to a CD as an ISO file. I was too lazy to do.

My R61, too, is the 15.4-inch (1680 x 1050) model, but unlike you, I have XP Professional and a 1394 a miniport. The reason your system shows Firewire, it's Ricoh Board which controls the 4 - 1 or 5-in-1 memory card reader includes the R61 Firewire controller. I guess it's convenient is you decide, as I do, to add a CardBus (or, as the case may be, an ExpressCard) with full major ports 1394 a(1) FireWire, 1394b (FireWire 2), or both.

  • Re: Toshiba U400 - BSOD!

I have random BSOD on my notebook from the moment where I bought it!

They appear about once a week or 2 weeks. Always with different messages. Has not changed any hardware, reinstall Vista did not help! Does anyone have the same problem?

It's very strange. For a week I have U400 friends at home. I installed several times HARD drive recovery image and use it for now with Office 2007. No BSOD at all.
In most cases, it may be because of some exotic applications preinstalled on your laptop.

Have you noticed when this happen exactly? Perhaps that when you try to start or use an app or a game. I'm 100% sure that this will not happen if you reinstall Vista and use it for daily work (Internet, Office, emails and so on).

  • Update leads to BSOD... with a touch

This happened sometime yesterday / the day before.
I installed updates, the computer will, left and then finally stopped.
When I turned it on the next day, as the login screen popped up, then not many mistakes, all saying that "Users/Microsoft" or "C:/Users" were corrupt.
Needless to say, I was worried. I could not connect as 'service user profile Service does not log. User profile cannot be loaded. ' To add to my confusion, bad update caused my computer to BSOD almost immediately after.
After a lot of noise and several entirely separate repair system (?) later thingies, C:/Users was no longer considered as corrupt, however, my original problem still exists.
I can not connect with my single and logon only. I tried it in safe mode and have found that there can be no administrative access.
Cannot connect my user account is because it is now designated as a backup copy. However, I can not follow traditional advice, like by clicking on "Manage user accounts" does nothing.
At the same time, persistent problems with the BSODS continue. This is because, without admin access, by clicking 'uninstall' KB973879 also does nothing.

All this is on a HP HDX16, on Vista Home Premium SP1.
It was delivered two months ago at most.
I have 4 GB of RAM, 320 of HD and the Dual P8700 core.

I'd appreciate really any attempt to help which could avoid a complete reinstallation.

  • Updates daily, but is unable to install! Crashes regularly.

Hi all: I have windows 7 installed on a HP Professional laptop.  Initially, it had Vista, but I updated through HP last spring.

Whenever I stop, trying to install updates, which is daily. Currently, it tries to install 13 of them and my setup log shows literally hundreds of times as there downloadedl of each of them.  The next time I turn on the computer told me to wait while it configures the computer attempts to install the updates. Then he goes down and comes back to some previous settings and again by the same nonsense. In addition, it is crash-prone gives me a blue screen and an error message which goes off quickly, while it restarts.  I scanned the mechanic help system with nothing fancy.  Any suggestions?  I actually think to reinstall Vista, so you can see that I'm annoyed.   Thank you

In addition, it is crash-prone gives me a blue screen and an error message which goes off quickly, while it restarts.

If your computer is restarted when the BSOD appears, then you must change the by default for what to do in case of system error. It is easy to do, buttakes a lot of mouse clicks to get there:

Start | Control Panel | System | Advanced system settings (needAdministrator information here |) Advanced | Startup and recovery /settings.

On this screen, clear the check box under system failure that says: Restart automatically. The next time the BSOD appears, your computer doesn'tanother thing until what you press the hardware Reset button, so you'll have everythingtime you will need to read and copy the error codes. Paste it here, verbatim, and someone should be able to point in the right direction.

Last night, I was just using Facebook as usual and bam, BSOD.  When I tried to restart, it would reach a point about halfway through the apple logo, go to a gray screen, then restart again.  After several tries to restart, I finally restarted in verbose mode, noticed anything weird and it finally started raising but very slowly.  I went to my console to see if I could find anything unusual and I found the repetitive lines of the following:

    kernel [0]: sandbox: appleeventsd (47) deny metadata-reading-file/library

In addition, 8 lines of this:

    kernel [0]: sandbox: appleeventsd (47) deny com.apple.ocspd mach-search

What does that mean and can I do about it if it does not happen?

Have you tried to restart the console recovery and repair of permissions? I have not found anything specific related to these errors.

  • How can I create a chart that creates new series each year when the data are not collected on a daily basis?

I collect numbers "occasionally" of my solar system and to create a standardized chart that shows that the generation on an annual basis, so I can compare fall in the fall of each year, etc..

Because the information is not strictly 'daily' (just whenever I get to it), I don't know how it normalize for several years.

    For example, if I had

    Date - Kw/day

    15/01/10 - 14

    03/04/10 - 18

    18/04/10 - 17

    01/06/10 - 19

    21/09/10 - 15

    03/12/10 - 9

    07/02/11 - 13

    02/05/11 - 16

    17/08/11 - 18

    01/11/11 - 12

    02/11/11 - 12

    05/01/12 - 9

    04/06/12 - 12

    and so on.

What I'd like to see is a line graph for each year from January to December with these datapoints on it. I have much more "incremental data" that I presented above, but it's on "random dates" during the last 8 years, and I'm just trying to see how each year compared to other years.

To be at the front, I tried to understand how this in Excel as well, but he could not understand where the other.

    DRM for any tips/tricks/tips!

    Steve

    This might work for you...

I placed your data in a table named "Data."

Create a second (in this example, titled 'Table 1')

In the table 'Table 1' months are in the first column and the first row (which is a header row) contains the years - add columns to add new year:

    B2 = if (SUMIFS (data: $B, data: $A, "> =" & (B$ 1, $A2, 1), DATE data: $A, "<" & EOMONTH(A1,0) will GET (DATE B$ 1, $A2, 1, 0) "" "") > 0, SUMIFS (data: $B, given: $A, "> =" & (B$ 1, $A2, 1), DATE data: $A, "<" & EOMONTH(A1,0) will GET (DATE B$ 1, $A2, 1, 0) "" ""), "")

It's abbreviation dethrone select cell B2 and type (or copy and paste it here) the formula:

    = IF (SUMIFS (data: $B, data: $A, "> =" & (B$ 1, $A2, 1), DATE data: $A, "<" & EOMONTH(A1,0) will GET (DATE B$ 1, $A2, 1, 0) "" "") > 0, SUMIFS (data: $B, given: $A, "> =" & (B$ 1, $A2, 1), DATE data: $A, "<" & EOMONTH(A1,0) will GET (DATE B$ 1, $A2, 1, 0) "" ""), "")

    Select copy of cell B2

Select the cells B2 at the end of F13, dough

now select cells A2 through F13 and add a graphic (the XY scatter diagram)

Add new year add one (or more) new columns for "table 1", then add the year to the top:

Now alone, click the chart to activate the chart.  then click on the button 'change data references '.

now, drag the data reference control handle to the right to add the new year to the table:

You can add several years to the time, so you don't have to it very often

How can I set up a daily playlist for podcasts on Iphone 5

Without further explanation of what you want the list of reading to do, it is difficult to suggest something specific...

You can just go down the list of the Unplayed episodes and start listening to. That you have finished playing the episode, it disappears from the list, so it is always "fresh" next time.

  • After uninstalling and reinstalling 42.0 FF, I get BSOD 0x000000F4 error

FF has been excruciatingly slow and constantly crashed. I tried to reset, but does not solve the problem, so I did a uninstall and reinstall. Now, I get the BSOD every day, stating that "a process or thread crucial to system operation has unexpectedly released or terminated" and noting that the problem is often caused by the problem with newly installed hardware or software. FF is the only new software that I installed it. I have not installed new hardware. The stop error is always the same: 0x000000F4. Thanks for your suggestions you may have.

Thanks for the suggestion, Kyle. I uninstalled and reinstalled FireFox and did not get a BSOD. It only 24 hours since I've done this, but so far, everything is fine. Thanks again!
