  I think having a little further out for you.

  So far, I understand it is: your users can select a year and month on a data form. Something like 201511.

  You want to make sure that this value of 201511 lies between 201501 and 201512. On the dataform, you want to build a validation that informs the user about an incorrect entry, if a different value than a month of the year has been given. If this message should appear before you save the data, then you need somewhere on your dataform (hidden) these data and you compare the data cell of user input with those provided by you as limits.

  These limits, you can calculate with the substitution variable.

  An alternative is to bind a calc rule to the form that compares the input value with the range you provided. Then you send a flag (for example a 0 or 1) to indicate if the data entry is OK or not. Then you put a flag of validation on this return code, indicating to the user a bad entry.

  I am using Hyperion Essbase & planning version 11.1.1.3 applications. I exported QA dataforms and tried to import in the Prod environment, using LCM. But the dataforms do not migrate due to the long name of the dataforms.

  When I create a new folder I can assign the class of security to the folder. But how it works for an existing folder?

  Hello

  To answer your question, there is no way to change the safety classes existing folder with the existing versions of HFM. We have already asked DEV as an improvement. The only solution is to remove the existing form folder and then re-create.

• Add Member error data form

  Hello gurus,

  I am running into an error with the data forms saying "an unknown error has occurred in the HsvWebFormGeneratorACM object. The error occurs when I open the form data in excel and then try to add a member to a billing on R15 (please see text below). The "Add Member" feature works fine when I shoot to the top of the form of data in the browser.

  So Far, based on the OTN forums and the idea of Oracle knowledge base, I have 1) removed all replacements on the blank lines and SCalc and 2) removed all deletion on the data form options.

  This page was built in HFM 11.1.2.0 and we just migrated to HFM 11.1.2.2.304 during an upgrade. I'm pulling into excel using Smart View 11.1.2.2.300 (soon to update 11.1.2.2.310).

  I'd appreciate it really all comments or advice from someone who has faced this problem before or can find out what is causing the problem.

  The only way I could get the functionality of adding members to work was to create a line of false 'Add Member' in the first line of data. I pulled an account of higher level for attribute the PEAK Add Member to him, but put in a substitute so no data would be thrown. Even if I put in a blank line before this fake Add Member line, the rest of the legitimate add feature Member did not work well. My new script is as follows:

• Display of the contribution to an entity in a data form

  I'm stuck with a data form, which should show the contribution of basic entities to another entity. And they have intermediate entities like here:

  If users select items as in the selectable POV and they assume to see the nodes as B.1, B.2, C.3, C.4, in columns. I wrote it in such a way in the columns:
  C1=E{{{@cur. [Base]}. [Parent]}. [Base]}. But the said tables syntax generator does not. Is there a way to show all features which helps in choosing their parent for level yesterday to a parent of the node?

  OK, it's your call, although it should be clear that contributions from B.1, B.2 Add to currency entity b, contributions of C.3, C.4 to currency entity C and contributions of A.B and B.C to currency entity of A, but the contributions of B.1, B.2, C.3, C.4 necessarily will not add to the entity of a currency. Because I assume that your customer expects not only to bring the columns on the right on the form, but it is also expected that the numbers will also reconcile.

• HFM - inserting rows data form

  Is it possible to easily insert a line when you create a data form in HFM? While I've built simple data forms, my first attempt at building a data with several separate lines form was painful because I can't understand how to insert a line in the middle of the other lines.
  
  The only faster alternative, that I found was to change the numbers on the "Script" tab, but who also gets inefficient when I need to add a line to the top of a data line 100 form.
  
  I would appreciate any advice on how to create forms of data more effectively.

  One might think that there is a better way, right? Nope...

  I put together a quick and dirty excel file to renumber the lines / columns in the view script...

  #1-open the form in the editor
  #2-go into Script mode
  #3-jump to the right place in the file and insert rows or columns (NOTE: when you add the row or the column give a number such as C1 or R1.) It should not be a correct number, there must be a number so that my macro excel recognizes the renumbering...)
  #4-copy / paste the script into the Excel file in the data column of the Original form
  #5-copy / paste the column "Becomes the Output" in the script of the web form box in HFM.

  NOTE: I didn't feel bored enough to fix the substitution line and column numbers! If you add lines between a range that you override in forms, you will need to adapt them accordingly.

• The data forms Web site - how to display the dimensions of all the columns?

  I'm working on a data form. I took accounts in lines and period, year and scenario in my columns. The first pass is displayed correctly-> P #JAN. Y#@CUR. S #ACTUAL
  But when I used the second col-> P #FEB. Y#@CUR. S #ACTUAL and save my data form. I can see the year and only col1 scenario dimension. Col2: Only FEB appears without year and scenario. How can I spread the year and the other columns scenario, rather than display only in col1. Your help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

  If you use the standard Web in the workspace form tool, you can bring up the form in edit mode, select the Details tab and there is an option "Repeat the headers", Just check the box and you should be good to go.

  The post above is correct, the dimension of HSP_Rates is not your problem.

  Your account and the entity dimension dimension looks like? You have assigned bonds to members within these dimensions yet? I assume that you have added under the entity members and account?

  I use 11.1.1.3 when I loading data using utility charge of contour data are not appearing in dataform, where, as I am able to retrieve data using excel addin. before doing a load of data I do data load management and after loading data, I always do a refresh cube planning but data does not come from data form, kindly help.

  If you can see the data using the excel add-in and there are no errors, run the form, and then possibly the Member not implemented in the form are not exactly correct, or the type of plan is incorrect.

  Rename a data form is not a big deal at all. The data form is bound to an object id (in fact all THE planning objects are related to their very own unique object id) and this is the id of the object that counts, not the name as the name, it's just what is displayed to being human.

  All security, definitions of forms, etc, etc, etc are set against the object of this form id... You are simply by changing the value of the associated OBJECT_NAME OBJECT_ID of the table HSP_OBJECT form field.

  Oooh, something - if you have parentheses in your form names - get rid of them. There is a known issue with LCM and the names of form parens in them competently. What is scary, is that you can export them but not to import them into the target. Once, I spent an afternoon by manually editing the xml files (table of contents because I composite forms) and a manifest file and real to get rid of those parens file names. So frustrating.

• Data form

  Add a line of formula (without label of formula or name) in the form of data (just to have a space between accounting) will affect the performance of the data form?

  The effect on performance of adding a single empty line would be almost impossible to detect, so I would say no. I think you could add empty lines 10 or 20 and still not see a noticeable change in performance.

  Try it and see what you think.
