  • HP 50g and StreamSmart 410 Data Logger

No one knows for sure if the 410 StreamSmart data logger works with the HP 50 G. All the places I've read says that it works with HP 40 gs/gs 39. However, the guys of Educalc (http://www.educalc.net/1518486.page) says that it works with HP 50 g but I was not able to confirm. Anyone who has ever tried? If this does not work with HP 50 G, a data recorder that works with it?

    Thank you

I don't think that the ROM with the support of the 50g never goes out publicly. However, they could have gotten ahold of it from somewhere, and that's why they say that it is supported. He is there not much of interest using the 50g to connect it upward and therefore only Roma to 39/40 were fully tested and released.

The internal hardware between the ss400 and ss410 is totally different. Unfortunately, there wasn't enough space for two support units 1 rom version...

After downloading the software from version 9.13 recorder data (see [http://www.eagletreesystems.com/Support/apps.htm]) on my computer with OS Windows 7 Professional, the program does not start.
Also try different compatibility settings does not solve the problem.

An earlier version of the same program open normally, and also on the computer of a friend with Windows 7 there is no problem.

Someone has any idea how to solve this problem?

    Hello

I'm a little confused about your ad Mr. Why ask you this question here?

Here he s a user to Toshiba user forum where people can discuss on laptops Toshiba and Toshiba software, drivers, etc., but this data logger has nothing to do with Toshiba.

In this case you must contact directly to the manufacture of the data logger. Guys have to know what you have to do to make it work.

  • data logger high speed

    Hello

am very new to Labview. I used a data logger high-speed (labview 6i). Files are saved in the binary format. How can I convert files to ascii format or text for post-processing?

    Thank you

    Hi Valentine,.

I hope you had a good weekend.

I had a go at the conversion of the sample code down to LabVIEW 6, so you won't have problems to open it.

    It will be useful.

  • Units in the Stimulus Data Logger profile editor

I have an active Veristand application that uses the data logger built in Stimulus profile editor. Recording data works fine but it does not display the channel units. This becomes a big problem with our client.

I suggested to change the channel names so that they have units in them. Before we go on changing over 100 names of channel and dealing with the associated benefits of doing this, I would like to know if there is a way to get the units of the string to display in the data logger.

Before, it was suggested, I already use the recording custom device of embedded data and I hammered him to the gills.

Has anyone concerned with that? Don't know a good workaround solution?

    Thank you!

We have a patch for this NI VeriStand 2011 SP1 if you have access to this version. The problem is that VeriStand using incorrect property name for the property units. Channels are registered with a property named 'Units', then it should be "unit_string" so that the other products like the tiara to interpret it correctly.

You can apply an INI token to change this behavior in 2011 sp1. Add the token following in the file below.

    Win7:
    C:\ProgramData\National Instruments\NI 2011\NI VeriStand.ini VeriStand

    WinXP:
    C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\National Instruments\NI VeriStand 2011\NI VeriStand.ini

    [NOR VeriStand]
    LogUnitsPropertyName = unit_string

  • How to read data from OM - 62 temperature/humidity data logger in LabVIEW?

    Hello

I have an Omega OM-62 temperature/humidity data logger I want to communicate (initialize recording, reading/writing data, stop recording) through LabVIEW 8.6. The OM-62 is connected to the PC via a type B USB-miniUSB connector, and I have provided "Omega Recorder program Interface" on my Windows operating system. I called online DAQ support Omega but I was told that data recorders low level like this have not provided capabilities of LabVIEW, which I fully understand.

My question is why I have to use their program to communicate to this device? If I knew the syntax program them used to connect to the device, why can't I use through VISA? Do I need to build my own LabVIEW driver from their supplied driver?

Python is easier to apply to this scenario solution?

How can I see the code "Omega Interface Progam recorder" on my Windows operating system is using to communicate with the OM - 62 sensor?

I just want to know how this could or could not work because I think I'm missing some concept in my understanding of programming LabVIEW/novice. It would be easier to run my LabVIEW program and their program at the same time, but I just want to understand it at a deeper level.

    Curosity killed the engineer occupation,

    Zach

P.S. I have attached a few driver configuration information, but I have no idea if this is useful.

Unless the manufacturer provides a kind of programming interface or API to communicate with the device that you have trouble with your own software interface to it whether LabVIEW or Python or something else. This could be in the form of a driver dll, Protocol series modbus (etc. etc. etc.).

If it is not condition / available and you really need to communicate with the device, you will need to look at using something like a sniffer USB/driver (software? hardware?) to try to intercept communications between their software and the device. You can then use this information to try to understand what the commands it sends and the responses received and how to convert data.

Once you have that until now... I don't know what options are willing LabVIEW for control of USB device, but a proposal, I would say that you would need either a driver USB low level or you have to write your own driver in another language and that call from LabVIEW.

  • How to analyze the data of 10 bytes encoded in the HH306 of Omegatte data logger/thermometer?

I am trying to write a simple code for a HH306 of OMEGAETTE thermometer/travailleursduweb.com data recorder.

That is the problem. I communicate with the device via RS - 232, using Labview 8.5.1 and windows xp. I ask her for "all the coded data", which is actually the only option. He returns 10 bytes of encoded data, the manual describes the meaning of each byte and I understand that. The problem is that I can't analyze the information for use in labview, for example: I want to extract the temperature and simply display it.

on request, I get: 10bytes (read as a string from the serial port read buffer): display HEX: 02 00 A8 48 FF EF B6 49 B6 03 is perfect, and what I expect.     Display codes: \02\00\A8\B6H\FF\EF\B6I\03 The Normal display is a series of special characters, I don't understand, especially since I don't think they are ascii characters that must match returned hexadecimal numbers!   For the life of me, I can't understand how to extract the information (what are the 48 6 hexadecimal display) of what is returned. All string manipulation functions seem to work only on what is given in Normal view. (The 4th and 5th byte of the data are the codes of the BCD for temperature: for example the temperature was 64.8 degrees farenheight when I took this reading).

Can someone help me to analyze the data returned by this device?

Ok... I think that I thought about it. I found this: http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/websearch/77C8F61D36F5A23086256634005ACB38?OpenDocument.

I guess the normal display garbled is corresponding to each hexadecimal ascii characters. I'm just not used to seeing characters beyond the decimal number 127 ascii or hex 7F.

So, basically, to analyze the 10 bytes of data:

    (1) break the string read from the serial port in the 10 ascii characters (using String subset vi)

    (2) son of each output string in the left input of 10 separate Type vi Cast.

    (3) wire a constant U8 in each terminal 'type' VI Type Cast.

cables of 4) the chain of each Cast of Type vi output to the input of a number hexadecimal string vi.

    (5) concatenate or use as you wish as hexadecimal numbers (now in string format) which cause.

    See you soon.

  • Database and SQL (data logger)

    Hi all

I made the database (see photo) to save my data.

  • I need a Windows 7 driver for my VOLTCRAFT temperature/HUMIDITY data logger

I use a housing data VOLTCRAFT temperature/HUMIDITY that went very well with Windows XP, but not with Windows 7. VOLTCRAFT offered a Windows 7 compatible driver, but no luck. No idea what I could try

It is the responsibility of the hardware manufacturer to produce drivers and your datalogger is a rather specialized piece of kit, I suggest you contact them and explain in detail what goes wrong for you.

In particular, tell them if you run Windows 7 32 or 64 - Bit * as you have the correct driver according to based on this information. Let them also any error messages in their entirety.

    * To see if you're running 32-bit or 64-Bit Windows click:

    Start-> Control Panel-> system

Then look at where it says, "System Type".

  • Read channels alternately on the Agilent data logger

    Hello world

I'm finalizing a code. I remotely control my Agilent 34970 and I want to read channels one after the other. I have an actuator in the device that is also controlled to close and open channels.

    The actuator channels are 201, 202... 220

    Channel multiplexers are 101, 102, 103... 121

I want the code to close 201 and read 101, then open 201 before going out to close 202 and read 102... etc.

At the moment what I close all of the cylinder at a time and read all the channels that is not what I want. I know a little long hand to do this is to have so many sequences, but I want to know if there is a shortcut, a little.

A printscreen of the façade of what I currently have is attached.

PS: I'm relatively new using labview. I'd appreciate any help I can get.

Maybe use a loop FOR.  Put all your settings in tables and autoindex berries enter the loop FOR.  Inside the loop, you can close a relay, read a value, and then close the relay.  Repeat for as many channels and samples as you want.

  • How to open files (.dat) famos on tiara?

In my request here I m using a data logger Kvaser Memorator professional for logging tool can signals using the Kvaser Memorator Professional Setup Tool software. By extracting the files saved in the eqquipent map, I have the following options for extensions:

    -Some signals to CSV

-Signals selected as Matlab for ATI Vision

-Certain signals to the MDF format for vector CANAnalyzer

    -Vector ASCII (.asc)

    -PEUT images in CSV format

    -PEUT pictures to plain text

    -Famos (.dat)

    -Vector MDF (.log)

-Kvaser binary format (KME 2.4) - used for vector cananalyzer

    -Kvaser binary format (KME 2.5)

    -Kvaser binary format (KME 4.0)

What I want to do is open the file in one of these extensions above using the 2011 tiara. Who is the extension recommended for my application? Is there a plugin that I need to install on my computer? If son, which plugin and where to install it?

    Thank you very much!

    Hello

Our suggestion is to use the MDF (*.mdf, *.dat) file format. You will need to install the following use: Use MDF.

You will find a brief description on how to install this use here.

Please let me know if this does not work for you.
