Data recovery after infection by the Virus Trojan horse
My desktop PC has been infected with the virus of the Win32/FakeSysdef Trojan horse. I used Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool and a complete analysis with MS Security Essentials to remove the virus and now it's clear. However, my data, music and photo files have been deleted as well as the Favorites to explore. They are not in the recycling bin. Is there a way to retrieve this data loss?

In January of this year my computer would freeze, or be very slow in its normal operation. This happened constantly. I tried to verify that my windows update check to be sure that I was getting my automatic updates. I was unable to connect to Windows update, no matter how many times I tried. This never happened before. So, I thought that my inability to connect to verify Microsoft Updates could be related to my computer running at a slow speed and / or gel constantly upward. When the computer froze, the only way to recover was to hit the kill switch and crash the computer. At the time where we ran a Microsoft Scan (Scan, I believe was the name One) followed by an analysis "HijackThis". Kevin then read the results of analysis and recommended destruction of vast print of HijackThis. This has made some slight improvement to operations. As Kevin has attempted to provide additional assistance, I left for vacation. I came back, I did a scan of Microsoft Essential that determined that my computer is infected with a virus called "Trojan:DOS / Alureon.A.
How do I rid my computer of this Trojan horse and restore my Microsoft updates and restore normal operation of the system?

It is unlikely that all damages that are left behind.
Restore the system to factory settings. Update all drivers hardware devices with the appropriate constructors. Update the operating system completely patched. Install applications of your backups of installation media and series/product numbers keys. Updated all of the latest patches. Restore all your personal data. Enjoy your own and probably faster running machine.
I suggest you also protect it with a compbination of eSet NOD32 AntiVirus and MalwareBytes (paid version) to ~ 85USD for the first two years and ~ $60 every two years after. One of the best combination of performance and protection, I found.

I need help to get my computer back to normal.My laptop has been infected with the virus Vista Internet Security 2010, but I removed it, NOW none of my apps (Yahoo Messenger, trash, other folders, SYSTEM, all file icons restore,) work, I managed to get rid of the virus visa, but still none of the programs work. When I try to open any program, it displays an error message "this file has no program associated with it for performing this action. Create an association in the set associations Control Panel. " I did all the steps, but still nothing works now all my files are open with the same file. Your system is infected with the virus, update your Mcafee and run a full scan of the system in safe mode. You can also try to download Anti-malware http://www.malwarebytes.org/ and scan your system in safe mode.
To start your computer in safe mode, you must press the F8 key before the windows screen is loaded (time between the BIOS screen disappears and before you get the windows screen).
Once you get your system clean everything in safe mode, restart your computer, should be all good.
