• vCenter data retention policies when does it take effect

  I'm not enough on my space of vcenter. If I set the data retention policy to 6 months, should I immediately remove tasks and events more than six months, or it marks just all new task and the event should be deleted within 6 months. I just wanted to see if I would get immediate space savings.

  Hey Stan,

  Purge scripts are set to run once a year, once a month, once a week and once per day because there are four procedures that work both to collect and to purge the data. You can manually run the purge by just running the default procedures stored in SQL Management Studio after connecting to your virtual Center DB and that would go very well indeed, and I guess that max age settings are what you would find already set at 6 months in the scripts, if you have already made changes in the GUI!

  How does the conservation of data in vC Ops? In the document it says data retention in the company is 900 days. But in the vSphere user interface, we can keep up to 4 years, which is by default and the minimum level. These two does not?

  There are also resolutions different weeks, monthly, quarterly, and annual. Suppose for example that if we maintain weekly resolution as 12 weeks and months 10, all the quarters 9 and annual 5 years as shown in the picture how it works? I mean after 12 weeks the data will be deleted, but we said 5 years for recall information. How this is achieved.

  Let me be more specific:

  1. the colelctor collects data interval 20 seconds every 5 min

  2. it is wrapped in a 5 min avg and max value.

  3. these values 5 min is rolled up to hourly, daily, weekly... ect... for two reasons: capacity and analysis of dynamic thresholds which is stored in two databases diffenent calculations.

  It does not compress the stats... it gets stats avg. (Analysis uses avg to get trends used for forcasting ability... ect)

• Graphic data retention for VCenter 5 device

  Hi all

  I noticed a month previously, our graphic retention went up to 1 month of data collection.

  I used to have all the months of graphs since installation.

  I read somewhere that you could go to:

  vCenter Server Settings-> data retention policy.

  It has been verified to 356 days. I unchecked to see if it worked and restarted.

  Nope.

  Something has changed since installation, and what I can't understand.

  I did the last update, hoping that would help, but it didn't.

  Does anyone know where I could solve this?

  Now, it's a problem...

  The best solution for your missing perf stats must publish the next update:

  DB2 "update VPX_STAT_INTERVAL_DEF set INTERVAL_LENGTH = 31536000 where INTERVAL_SEQ_NUM = 3".

  Unfortunately this will not restore your data of perf, but you won't have the same problem with the lack of statistical data.

  Hi Roshan,

  You must set all three generations in the custom retention policy to preserve data for 10 minutes.

  Please find the custom in FMS UI retention policy under: management data/servers/server management / retention policy/policy current. Here, select the menu drop-down and click custom.

  Once there you should be able to select 10 minutes for each generation, then purge the data after 3 months. (see image below)

  Keep in mind that political detention is very granular and the size of your database is likely to increase. Also, when you use larger slots in the user interface, the server will have to deal with more values and will add a certain amount of overhead.

  We are on the 12 c Enterprise Edition Release Oracle database 12.1.0.2.0 - 64 bit Production.

  For testing purposes, I have created an Archive of Flashback with RETENTION 1 DAY data and
  Adding a table of this archive. Then I inserted/updated / delete records in the table
  and verified that there are data in the table (SYS_FBA_HIST_ < ObjectID >) story that reflects
  My DML.

  When revisitng the history of table after a few days the reviews are still there, even if
  column USER_FLASHBACK_ARCHIVE. LAST_PURGE_TIME shows that the archive

  has been purged.

  I expected the records in the table in history to have disappeared, can someone explain why they are still there?

  Probably you hit the bug, trying to perform a manual purge if you still have questions of conclusion then fdba process is not able to pick up the partition for split and couldn't right '; t could truncate

• Level - data retention applications

  During development, I noticed, that each app deployment is seen by the system as an installation fresh app (as opposed to the deployment on Android itself, where the properties of the app are stored).

  We are at the point where we want to release the first update of our app, and the app will be substantially different from the first version. But we want to keep the application settings, such as preferences and user account information. During development, this information has been lost with each new deployment.

  How is - that it is run in production? Our app will lose all of its data on the upgrade?

  In my tests, it seems that the upgrade of the application retains the settings/properties, at least it does with SharedPreferences. Test yourself against the latest 10.2.1?

  Application upgrade via BlackBerry World will preserve the previous settings/properties as well. You can try setting up a Sandbox account in the portal provider to test the upgrade of the application.

  If I understand correctly the ISE deployment guides, the amount of history in the Terrain data depends on

  • The disk space available on the Terrain node
  • The number of endpoints

  (see installation guide for ISE 2.0 HW)

  Is there a way to restrict the days of the Cup? For example, I want to argue that the Terrain node only stores the data for the last 30 days?

  I don't know if it is just an issue in my country - but it is a regular requirement by the guys of data protection.

  My apologies, I badly read/badly understood your original message/question. Thank you for clarifying for me. Looks like you need to change the settings under:

  Administration > system > maintenance > purge data.

  If you set the retention period for a short period of time, then you will not be able to go back to see the tasks and older events. The retention period is a compromise between the amount of newspapers and the size of the database.

• Possibility of change of SID / data retention?

  I have a 11.2.0.3 Oracle VM running with a 12.2 GB database size. Currently, I would like to take a snapshot / clone of the Oracle database 11g and to reproduce. Obviously I would change the Linux OS host name / IP settings to avoid conflicts on the LAN but I would like to know if its possible in Oracle 11 g (and supported) to change the SID on the cloned machine said once the machine has been replicated?

  Yes you can change the SID of the database after clone.

  You can do this using dbverify or create controlfile

• Satellite A200 PSAF3A - upgrade the hard drive - data retention?

  I am working on a Toshiba Satellite A200 PSAF3A with a dying 160 GB Fujitsu 5400 RPM SATA drive installed.
  I would like to replace the hard drive 400 GB 5400 RPM SATA drive in a car with a Fujitsu and transfer any existing information on it. I noticed that there is a standard C:\, a System Volume of Toshiba and a HDDRecovery partition on the current drive.

  Can someone tell me if this is possible by using disk imaging software? If so, what are the issues could meet? (eg. new player will only recognize the old C:\ partition size etc.)

  I have already created a backup of the drive image and all 3 partitions (as she made a lot of noise and possibly at its output) using shadow protect Desktop
  Toshiba HDDRecovery & the System Volume partitions don't show in SPDesktop as the affected drive letters, so I don't know if I can restore using this program. Everyone has used successfully to achieve this result?

  I also have a Ultimate Boot CD for Windows here, and have successfully used the Roadkills Disk Copy with a SATA Adapter USB to copy a C:\ on a laptop in the past. It would be a better approach? I was thinking of using this method because it must copy all 3 partitions, then just use GParted to resize C:\ to fill the rest of the available HARD disk space.

  I'm not aware of any way to delete an account iCloud. You can remove an account from a device and you can delete the data in an account, but in both cases, the account itself still exists.

• Max and min to find examples of data

  I'm discerning the max and min of cycle data values. We have about 20 data points for each cycle and I need make the max and min out of it. I tried to write a script for this but it takes way to long to run. Do not complete our largest files (over 1 million points of data) with my script and DIAdem crash.  I also tried the peak built by finding functions, but they come with data points that are not max or min.   just in case you are using a newer version of DIAdem, here is an alternative solution.

  Also, I used your example file and it concatenated 50 times to create a file which has about 560,000 values in each channel.

  I run your script from a new one to get a reference number

  Sample file

  Original screenplay: 2.5 seconds

  Optimized script: 0.2 seconds

  50 x example file

  Original screenplay: 111,493 seconds

  Optimized script: 0.25 seconds

  I have to admit that I've sorted the concatenated file. This way I have 216 cycle segments to be analyzed. If I simple concatenate files (without sorting) I get 50 x the number of segments and the new script takes about 9 seconds to execute. The original script doesn't work properly like you woul then have to repeat the cycle count numbers in different areas of the channel...

  I hope that the new versions work for you.
