Database authentication account to some users.

Hello, the teachers of the apex.
I doubt more on apex.
This time is related to database authentication account.
I was wondering if it would be possible to filter the database users
can connect to my application?
For example I have this users on my database: John, Paul, Ringo and George.
But I don't want that John and Paul be able to connect, if try to George or Ringo
do the same thing, they would have their access denied.

Thanks for all the help you guys gave to me.
Best regards, Leandro Freitas.

Hello

It seems that the user is not defined until you reach the first page. Try to define your schema authorization as once per page view and the SQL like:

SELECT 1 FROM DBA_ROLE_PRIVS A
WHERE A.GRANTED_ROLE='DBA'
AND A.GRANTEE = :APP_USER
UNION ALL
SELECT 1 FROM DUAL WHERE :APP_PAGE_ID = '101'

    Hi Michael,

    Basically, we need more information such as ACS you run and what version AD 2003, 2008 etc... bare in mind that version 4.0 - 4.2 AVS does not work with AD 2008 R2.

    Basically, we need a few more steps:

    1.) together until a computer account and the name of cisco

    2.) implemented local policies in your windows

    3.) are you installing ACS on your domain controller or on a member server?

    4.) ensure that GBA services run with the account that you have created in AD, you must specify the account appropriate rights...

    Basically, all the stuff mentioned above are more in detail here:

    http://www.Cisco.com/en/us/customer/docs/net_mgmt/cisco_secure_access_control_server_for_windows/4.2/installation/guide/Windows/postin.html#wpxref2582

    In ACS go to:

    Database of external user > database group mapping > Windows database

    and see if you can find area in it if so it will be just a matter of mapping of the security groups in AD with ACS groups...

    Also make sure you see aaa properly like this:

    AAA accounting system default start-stop Ganymede group.

    GANYMEDE-server host GANYMEDE IP key PASSWORD

    RADIUS-server timeout 3

  • Restrict access to connect to some users

    Hello

    I am building an application for internal use and I need to restrict access to some users... Is it possible to do in the connection, as the authentication scheme selected is "Account data"...?

    Thank in advance for your answers!

    Have you set the condition on the connection process? Because it works fine with me.

    Process: Login
    Type: Exist (SQL query)
    Expression1: select 'x' where double: P101_USERNAME not in ("USER1", "User2")

    (can also be something like Select 'x' allowed_users where upper (username) = upper(:P101_USERNAME) )

  • Explorer Windows has encountered a problem and needs to close, sorry for the inconvenience into account only one user. Other user accounts properly.

    This problem deals with only one of my user accounts, where the user accounts function correctly.  When my wife logs in to his user account, it receives the error "windows Explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close, sorry for the inconvenience."  No ICONS or deskbar charge upward; However, my daughter and my user account functions properly.

    I did a system successfully restore to a previous point, but the problem remains.

    If you are still having problems with Windows Explorer crashing, I suggest to consider the suggestion offered by ShadowKat:

    "Hello people, it seems that some guys out there are still having trouble with this random crashes. I have the same problem, except that it happens every time that I go to my media files on my NAS. It seems that there is a bug or something with windows that causes this problem when you access a folder to storage media like mine, especially when the size of the file is very large (archive all my discs of film there for convenience and continuous =), about 1 TB of data). Windows capable of generating thumbnail images for your files and blocks the Explorer as well.

    I solved this by going to my computer > click the "Organize" (upper-left) > folder and search options > view tab check "Show icons, never thumbnails" option and uncheck the "display file on the photos." This prevents windows to generate images and solved the problem for me. Less visually flashy Yes, but at least not need a cloth and restart is).
    I hope this helps and good luck!

  • * Switching user EDITED * accounts when it not an account administrator and user switching welcome screen/fast are off.

    I really need help. I am the administrator of the computer, but I'm not connected my admin account, I am connected to a limited account. I need to change the account, but the user function is disabled, and being in a limited account, I can't turn it on. Also, when I was originally in the admin account, I tried to re - turn on the function, but he told me that I couldn't until a program has been uninstalled. Oh, and there is no welcome screen because she wasn't too. Can you help me to activate this function and return to my account or am I trapped forever, never able to access my account admin impossibility?

    * Edited question:

    My computer is a professional Windows 2000 XP laptop, and it's me signature automatically on the limited user account. I tried pressing the SHIFT key when you restart the computer, but he did that tell me there was a "stuck key" and I had to stop by pressing and continue. I don't know what was the program that appears when I tried to re - turn on the windows screen, but as soon as I can get to my admin account, I can understand. So far, the advice, they gave me did not. Any other ideas? Thank you

    You have left out some important information. What version of XP you, run Home/Pro/Media Center? Are get you connected automatically to your limited user account? If so, then hold down the SHIFT key as Windows starts. Should you get the classic login box and you can enter your own name of user and password. Once in, set the auto paper by doing the opposite of:

    Set up Windows to automatically connect (MVP Ramesh) - http://windowsxp.mvps.org/Autologon.htm

    If you want to get the welcome back screen, you will need to give the exact text of the error message and just say "a program". The difficulty depends on what "some program" is. MS - MVP - Elephant Boy computers - don't panic!

    To run cmd, enter the administrator password.
    Change your administrator password.
    Create a user account for him without admin privileges. It cannot do any damage now.

  • Disabled accounts of internal users of ISE

    Hello

    I noticed this morning that, rather than the regular minimum number of users during the night on our wireless network from about 200 we had 68. Missing customers were some infusion pumps Hospira that have been set up with accounts of local user on the system, then I looked at the accounts. Most of the accounts for hospira pumps have been disabled but not all and no other accounts have been disabled, except a few that are no longer necessary and have been disabled by me.

    What could cause multiple accounts off without manual intervention?

    Thank you

    Martin

    Martin,

    You can check the user password policy settings, there is a default parameter to disable the user account after 60 days. See if you can stop this.

  • Store an encrypted digital value and that the value isn't encrypted visible only some users in Apex

    I'm looking for a way to store a value digital encypted in a field in a table (so that it appears encrypted even for a DBA) and display the value of unencypted in the forms of the Apex and interactive reports for some users, but not others.

    Suggestions as to how I might do this?

    Thanks in advance.

    Martin

    Try these documents:

    Using masking to columns to display sensitive columns as NULL values

    Using VPD in an APEX Application

    Securing data stored using Transparent data encryption

    The features you want are characteristic of the database.

    You can use DBMS_CRYPTO for encryption of data instead of transparent data encryption, but you will need to create a package for your insert, update, delete and a view that allows the decryption based on v('APP_USER').

    Also, you will not be able to search on this column if you are using DBMS_CRYPTO.

  • query not using the index for some user

    Hello

    I have a query that is running in less than a second for sys, system, or schema owner. However, another user (test_user) take 30 seconds to run the same query.

    I certainly dba and privileges identical to test_user as schmea_user, but the result is the same.

    I checked

    Select * from V$ SYS_OPTIMIZER_ENV;

    Both are the same for both users.

    I have check the plan to explain to both users. I noticed that for sys/system/schema_owner, the query uses an index, but not the test_user.

    All have experience the issue where a user uses an index, but not the other?

    Thank you for any assistance.

    Thank you for the display of formatting output, this output is much easier to read.

    One of the first things you notice about the execution plans that is for the owner non-schema "SQL_ID, 0wcs85uywn72m, number of children 1" appears in the output of DBMS_XPLAN, while "SQL_ID 0wcs85uywn72m, child number 0" (the same SQL_ID but a different number of child) appears for the schema owner. "" Whereas the SQL_ID is the same, which indicates that the client requires exactly the same SQL statement, so it's a good start.

    Then, note that in the predicate for the nonschema owner information section the following appears (sometimes with the order of the two conditions switched in position) as a condition placed on each table that is available in the schema:

    filter(("SEAL_FLAG" IS NULL OR "SEAL_FLAG"'Y'))

    The above suggests the presence of the virtual private database (or a superset of private database virtual) generated the predicates. You should be able to confirm that this is the case by querying V$ VPD_POLICY using the SQL_ID which was displayed in the DBMS_XPLAN output:

    SELECT
      *
    FROM
      V$VPD_POLICY
    WHERE
      SQL_ID='0wcs85uywn72m';

    As a test, I made a few minor adjustments to the example on this page:
    http://Antognini.ch/2011/09/optimizer_secure_view_merging-and-VPD/
    I changed the name of T to T12 and TESTUSER table specified for the schema names. I then created the function S of this page as follows:

    CREATE OR REPLACE FUNCTION s (schema IN VARCHAR2, tab IN VARCHAR2) RETURN VARCHAR2 AS
    BEGIN
      RETURN 'ID < 10';
    END;
    /

    I then added a couple of lines in the T12 test table:

    INSERT INTO T12 VALUES (1,1,NULL);
    INSERT INTO T12 VALUES (4,1,NULL);
    INSERT INTO T12 VALUES (10,1,NULL);
    INSERT INTO T12 VALUES (12,1,NULL);

    COMMIT;

    With an active 10053 trace, I executed the following SQL statement:

    SELECT id, pad
      FROM t12
      WHERE
      spy(id, pad) = 1

    The SQL_ID (in my case, found in the 10053 trace file) was 6hqw5p9d8g8wf, so I checked V$ VPD_POLICY to this SQL_ID:

    SELECT
      *
    FROM
      V$VPD_POLICY
    WHERE
      SQL_ID='6hqw5p9d8g8wf';

    ADDRESS          PARADDR            SQL_HASH SQL_ID        CHILD_NUMBER OBJECT_OWNER OBJECT_NAME                    POLICY_GROUP                   POLICY                 POLICY_FUNCTION_OWNER          PREDICATE
    ---------------- ---------------- ---------- ------------- ------------ ------------ ------------------------------ ------------------------------ ---------------------- ------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    000007FFB7701608 000007FFB7743350 1518838670 6hqw5p9d8g8wf            0 TESTUSER     T12                            SYS_DEFAULT                    T_SEC                  TESTUSER                       ID < 10

    As noted above, the VPD test function named S added the predicate "ID".< 10"="" to="" the="" sql="">

    There are not many clues in the 10053 trace file in my test VPD generated additional predicates. Trace the following was found shortly after the beginning of the file (this is the SQL statement initially presented):

    ----- Current SQL Statement for this session (sql_id=6hqw5p9d8g8wf) -----
    SELECT id, pad
      FROM t12
      WHERE
      spy(id, pad) = 1

    I searched then down in the trace for final after changes query file (to be noted that this sentence could be slightly different in different versions of database Oracle). That's what I found:

    Final query after transformations: ******* UNPARSED QUERY IS *******
    SELECT "T12"."ID" "ID","T12"."PAD" "PAD" FROM "TESTUSER"."T12" "T12" WHERE "TESTUSER"."SPY"("T12"."ID","T12"."PAD")=1 AND "T12"."ID"<10
    kkoqbc: optimizing query block SEL$F5BB74E1 (#0)

    Note that the final query after transformation shows how the final version of the query that has been rewritten by the query optimizer before the SQL statement has been executed and this version of the query includes AND "T12". "" IDENTITY CARD ".<10. if="" i="" was="" attempting="" to="" determine="" how="" that=""><10 predicate="" was="" added="" to="" the="" sql="" statement,="" i="" would="" start="" at="" the="" "current="" sql="" statement="" for"="" line="" in="" the="" trace="" file="" and="" search="" down="" the="" trace="" file="" for=""><10* -="" in="" this="" case,="" the="" following="" is="" what="" i="" found="" as="" the="" first="" search="" result,="" very="" close="" to="" the="" "current="" sql="" statement="" for"="" line="" in="" the="" trace="">

    If V$ VPD_POLICY revealed that there are virtual private database (VPD) generated predicates applied to the SQL statement, take a look at the following article in the Oracle documentation library:
    http://docs.Oracle.com/CD/B28359_01/network.111/B28531/VPD.htm

    This article lists the different points of view, who can be interviewed to learn more about the VPD rules which are in force in the schema. For example, with my SPV test:

    SELECT
      *
    FROM
      ALL_POLICIES;

    OBJECT_OWNER OBJECT_NAME POLICY_GROUP POLICY_NAME PF_OWNER PACKAGE FUNCTION SEL INS UPD DEL IDX CHK ENA STA POLICY_TYPE LON
    ------------------------------ ------------------------------ ----------------------------- ------------------------------ ------------------------------ ----------------------------- ------------------------------ --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- ------------------------ ---
    TESTUSER T12 SYS_DEFAULT T_SEC TESTUSER S YES YES YES YES NO NO YES NO DYNAMIC NO

    He knows performance issues related to the use of VPD, some of which are Oracle Database version-dependent, and some have been fixed in recent versions. Take a look at the following articles if you have access to My Oracle Support:
    MetaLink (MOS) Doc ID 728292.1 ' known performance problems when you use transparent encryption data and indexes on the encrypted columns.
    MetaLink (MOS) Doc ID 967042.1 "How to investigate Query Performance regressions Caused by VPD (FGAC) predicates?"

    You might find working through the second of the above that the problem is caused by a bug in database Oracle.

    On a side note. Execution plans you have published include the 0 value in the column starts many of the operations in the execution plan. 0 indicates that the operation never actually executed. A 0 is included in the column starts on the line that includes the FULL ACCESS of TABLE of PEOPLE_TRANSACTIONS at least to the OPC. Value 123, a full table of PEOPLE_TRANSACTIONS table scan PROPERTY_CONTAINER_ID was not actually performed.

  • Some users of the problems to repaint after the 1.6.0_29 JRE

    I was unable to nail the determinant here - but we had several update their Java users moved to 1.6.0_29 after being invited by the automatic updater.

    For some, it's painless and just kept the work as expected with both Java applets that we use - however, for the other one of our applets began to exhibit repaint issues usually following a Javascript instantiated update.

    For computers that have the problem, it's easy enough to reproduce (so far, they have all be Win7) - but on others after reboot - or do a Java full uninstall (all versions) and a reinstall of 1.6.0_29 just the problem disappeared and applets are returned to work.

    The applet in question is a tree control that synchronizes the choice of the tree to what is projected in a substructure. A timer periodically checks whether the location of executives has changed and if it's a public call on the cmdlet to update the selection.

    The applet is not signed (and signing it did not help) - and the code works very well for years (we kept up to 1.1 compatibility until earlier this year).

    I begin to see more and more manifest: database drivers and now some relating to changes to the works of LiveScript. Given what I read these threads seem to suggest he should simply be broken-, but as it has resolved itself on a number of systems (including mine) - it feels a lot more something didn't you re-register correctly - or is damaged.

    There are no errors in the Java console.

    Any ideas? -is a known issue that I've missed?

    Thank you

    Great to hear. 6u30 moments was just out there to oracle.com and will soon be published on java.com. A number of bugs in 6u30 were set to respond to repaint and related issues. Vs Setup offline online should have no bearing on this question. If you see that there is a different behavior between the online and offline, please let us know.

  • RemoteScan is not for some users

    I recently installed RemoteScan on a new machine and got all this work in one programs installed on the RDS Server. In the other program requiring analysis, RemoteScan appears only for some users. I tried to recreate the user profile. I tried to copy it to the file remote.ini of a profile that works. I tried to reinstall RemoteScan on the workstation, but so far nothing has solved the problem. I have no idea what could be the cause and was hoping that someone could have encountered the same problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    RemoteScan files must be in the user homepath. These files should be as follows:

    TWAIN_32 (folder... RemoteScan internal folder)
    TWAIN_32.dll 44KO
    Twunk_32.exe

    All these RemoteScan files should be in the folder windows homepath from the user. To confirm the homepath from the user, you need to connect to the server as the user and then display a command prompt. Type set home.

    If you have questions contact RemoteScan to 406-721-0276.
