DataGuard applied Log question

Hi gurus,

Oracle Version 9i
OS:-AIX

My request when I'm checking the log of the primary database it shows APPLIED = NO' while the DR it shows APPLIED = YES to the same log sequence. Can you let me know what could be the possible reason and how can I remedy.
I database is the way of datagurad and DG_BROKER = true.

Thank you

Ok

So according to this query

SELECT
   ARCHIVED_THREAD#,
   ARCHIVED_SEQ#,
   APPLIED_THREAD#,
   APPLIED_SEQ#
FROM
  V$ARCHIVE_DEST_STATUS;
ARCHIVED_THREAD# ARCHIVED_SEQ# APPLIED_THREAD# APPLIED_SEQ#
---------------- ------------- --------------- ------------
          1      596799                1       596714

The gap is 85. Yes, you have a problem.

You have all these newspapers archive on the main server or standby? So from 596714 up to 596799.

If Yes use statement ALTER DATABASE REGISTER LOGFILE of them to apply.

Best regards

    dbname is still DBSOURCE instead of DBTARGET

    The database must be DBSOURCE on both. It's the same data in two different roles, role PRINCIPAL and ROLE of the day BEFORE.

    Oracle, said by the DB_UNIQUE_NAME parameter.

    What I have is copy the control file before on the basis of pending data down and then copy and rename the control file that are there.

    Does make sense?

    I have some notes here if it helps:

  • Event log question.

    Hello

    I know this is a silly question but I was wondering if anyone could tell me if newspapers windows still records events when the computer is off? There was something that was either a start to the top of the computer on his own or his things logging while shut down. Thanks in advance!

    Is there anyway that they can start a computer that is turned off?

    Depends on what you mean by 'stop' as well as some of the equipment installed in the computer.

    Some Ethernet (wired) network cards have a "Wake On LAN" function number of wireless cards have a similar feature.  If one of these features is present, a computer is 'off' but connected to a power source.  See, for example, http://www.howtogeek.com/70374/how-to-geek-explains-what-is-wake-on-lan-and-how-do-i-enable-it/ (no need to read much more far "what is Wake-on-LAN" unless you have nothing better to do).

    In Windows 7, go to network and sharing Center and click on the link at the top left of "change the map settings.  Right-click on your network adapters icon, and then select Properties.  Click on the "Configure" button just below the box under 'Connect using' where the name of your card.  Click on the tab "power management."  Uncheck the box for "allow this device to wake the computer".  Do this for each of your network adapters.

    In addition, if your computer is plugged into a power strip, after that you turn off your computer in the usual way, turn off the power strip.  If the computer is not connected to a power source, it absolutely remote start-up.  Of course, which does not apply to laptops unless you remove the battery.

    As your second question, Yes, you can configure a task to "wake up" the computer in sleep mode (and off).  Once again, however, the computer must be connected to an external power source (or internal energy (i.e. not the RTC or CMOS battery), so for this to happen.) As far as I KNOW, however, if the computer is effectively stopped, a scheduled task will not be able to turn it on.

    On the other hand, see http://www.enviprot.com/en/auto-shutdown-manager-product-details/remote-shutdown-and-wakeup.html

  • DataGuard archiving logs go?

    Hi all

    OEL5

    I'm following the dataguard configuration document.

    One of the tasks is to run:

    RMAN > backup filesperset remove all 10 ArchiveLog entry;

    He created an output file > piece handle = / p01/oradata/PROD/dbs/06dlfmmt_1_1

    Can it remove the archive logs.

    My problem is, I want to still manually restore another set of database for replication so I still need that archive logs to be applied to this database 2 (non-dataguard).

    Can I use this backup of archive logs merged to manually apply on my second instance?

    Thank you very much

    JC

    Yes, controlfile of today can be used for backup of database of yesterday.  However, if you have added new data files or tablespaces from backup, they would be reflected in the controlfile but not in the backup.

  • RMAN-Dataguard incremental catch question

    If a standby database dataguard gets out of sync by any long duration, theres a method known to synchronize it upward by getting an incremental backup of the primary of the last SNA applied and the day before with her recovery.

    http://docs.Oracle.com/CD/B28359_01/server.111/b28294/RMAN.htm#CIHIAADC

    It comes we have no limitation on the back to what extent an incremental backup of the CNS be run on the primary.

    Also interested to hear user experiences to look out for the use of the method of recovery of SNA for Standby.

    According to my knowledge, no.

    The command will run. It will just make a full backup.

  • How to apply logs archiving missing on Eve db

    Hello

    I had to stop physical standby db 4 hours to move to another location.

    After the reboot it seems there are 4 missing archive logs and I think that because of them other newspapers of archiving is not applied.

    SYS@standbydb AS SYSDBA > select * from V$ ARCHIVE_GAP;   -on the elementary level, there is no selected line.

    THREAD # LOW_SEQUENCE # HIGH_SEQUENCE #.

    ---------- ------------- --------------

    1 36226 36230

    Standby: SELECT THREAD #, SEQUENCE #, APPLIED from V$ ARCHIVED_LOG if application = "NO";

    1 36231 NO.

    - - -

    1 36247 NO.

    36226 is the last with the LETTER: YES

    I have as a result of errors in the GRID CONTROL DATA GUARD STATE option

    ORA-16783: could not resolve the deficit for the database standby_db

    ORA-16629: database shows a different level of protection the protection mode

    Please help resolve this gap of archive...

    Thank you very much

    Best regards

    Thank you very much for your contributions.

    I solved the gap newspaper archive. restore sequence archivelog 36227, I have given that his backup was introduced. stopped and started new standby database and then gap resolved automatically.

  • Build dataguard two other questions. password prompt and certificate error

    Instances of guard fiirt two data are built. It carries out the second I get this error in the log of all alerts. It seems that it is a certificate error, but I'm having a hard time nailing down.

    BTW: Instance is 11.2.0.1

    Thread 1 Advanced to record the sequence 318 (switch LGWR)
    Currently Journal # 6 seq # 318 mem # 0: +DATA/sfs01/onlinelog/group_6.4762.769266689
    Client SSL: Server DN does not contain name of SID WHEREAS
    Archived journal 706 extra for each thread 1 317 0x799622d4 dest ID sequence entry 1:
    Thu Mar 22 12:46:48 2012
    Client SSL: Server DN does not contain name of SID WHEREAS

    The third and final instance of data hold I build is 3 t and holding still to be restored. Two questions:
    (1) can I suspend rman and restart it.
    (2) when I restart rman how I stop it all asking me to specify the password. I'd rather put a nohup on a shell script.

    Here's the script. Right now I am running it manually but would relly to run with nohup so I can go to lunch.

    RMAN target auxiliary SYS@sor01_primary / < < EOF
    Run {}
    allocate channel C1 device type disk;
    allocate auxiliary channel C2 device type disk;
    allocate auxiliary channel C3 device type disk;
    allocate channel auxiliary type C4 drive peripheral;
    allocate auxiliary channel C5 device type disk;
    target database double standby nofilenamecheck;
    C1 output channel;
    channel C2.
    output channel C3.
    output channel C4.
    output channel C5;
    }
    EXPRESSIONS OF FOLKLORE

    Ok

    Therefore, this

    RMAN target auxiliary SYS@sor01_primary

    Would be more like this

    RMAN target sys/password@PRIMARY auxiliary.

    You should be able to pre-test to the command prompt.

    Then hard-code in a shell script.

  • control real time apply log on the database after synchronization

    Hi all

    I want to check the timestamp of applied newspapers archived on stanby database. How should I check that?

    My dataguard link was broken for some time, and during this time, many transactions happened on the primary database. Now, when the link came synchronization has happened in a few hours and ultimatly transport and app gal has become 0. But now I want to check real time taken for tranporting newspapers and apply them on the standby database. Is there a way I could do it easily...

    Thank you

    This script written by Yousef Rifai, I found here http://www.dba-village.com/village/dvp_forum.OpenThread?ThreadIdA=34772&DestinationA=RSS could be just what you need (executed on the standby database):

    worm off Set

    ALTER session set nls_date_format = 'dd-MON-yy hh24:mi:ss.

    /

    Select app_thread, seq_app, tm_applied,

    NVL (seq_rcvd, seq_app) seq_rcvd, nvl (tm_rcvd, tm_applied) tm_rcvd

    Of

    (select the sequence # seq_app, FIRST_TIME tm_applied, thread # app_thread)

    v $ archived_log in case of application = 'YES '.

    and (first_time, thread #) in)

    SELECT max (FIRST_TIME), thread #.

    v $ archived_log in case of application = 'YES '.

    Thread group #)

    ),

    (select the sequence # seq_rcvd, FIRST_TIME tm_rcvd, thread # rcvd_thread)

    v $ archived_log in case of application = 'NO '.

    and (first_time, thread #) in)

    SELECT max (FIRST_TIME), thread #.

    v $ archived_log in case of application = 'NO '.

    Thread group #)

    )

    where rcvd_thread (+) = app_thread

  • DataGuard Apply gal

    laHi.

    In our application, they have an option to check apply them between the primary and standby databases. Can someone share the query we use to do this?

    Thanks in advance.

    Mode standby, run the following to get the apply lag or shift of transport:

    select name, value, time_computed from v$dataguard_stats where name = 'apply lag';
    select name, value, time_computed from v$dataguard_stats where name = 'transport lag';

  • View connection Server Log Questions

    Hello

    I noticed a few things in my view connection server opens a session in one of my environments, and I was hoping someone might be able to specify what I see for me. I tried both of them without a bit of luck so far. So far, there don't seem to be problems caused by one of them that I know, and I see them in my two security servers and connection servers. All guests of my cluster run ESXI 5.0.0 build-474610 and all brokers are View 5.0.0 build-481677.

    This first stroke refers to three distinct data warehouses with the same caveat, and they are all three data warehouses that have been deleted or renamed due to restructuring. They are most referenced by the machines of the view or swimming pools, and all virtual machines have been migrated or removed and pools redirected before the time of the abduction. This warning occurs on every 6 minutes and reads as follows:

    WARN < VirtualCenterDriver-"GUID" > [VirtualCenterDriver] Datastore 'Data store name' not found in ComputeResource / "Name of data center" "/ host /" name of the Cluster

    Forgive me if I should do another discussion for this next (if necessary I will change this and create a new one instead), but the other thing I noticed is that the log shows several times the following entries as well about 25 minutes apart. And although they are INFO the part that worries me, it's that "deleted 24 references entry deleted." it has been the same number of months whenever it came (maybe it's a current account? That would explain it). No details as to what they call actually to would be great (obviously it seems to do with LDAP entries but it's that I get). I'd like to really just to understand what it is exactly, because I don't think that there is a real problem on this one. The entries include the following:

    INFO references < 3188 > input [ws_ldap] 0 collision resolved.
    References to INFORMATION < 3188 input > 24 deleted [ws_ldap] removed.
    INFO [ws_ldap] 0 < 3188 > collision the deleted entries.

    I would like to know if you need more information, or if I should divide these two in separate discussions. Thank you!

    On the first entry on the data may store the adam database still referred to this data store.    If this is the case, I'm sure it can be cleaned in a certain way, but you want to save the adam database before intervening.

  • HP Color LaserJet M277dw MFP: FAX ACTIVITY LOG QUESTION

    Hello

    I was wondering if there is a way that I can choose how far from going home with the fax activity log. I printed an activity log this morning but it goes up to 11/08/2016. I need to go a little further back. Is it possible to choose how far back?

    Thank you
    Natalie

    Hi Nathalie,.

    The fax activity log is limited to 30 fax jobs, any previous activity log is registered is no longer, and cannot be recovered.

    Kind regards
