  Hi I have a configured tcServer 2 (Server4, Server5 jvmRoute names) with module gemfire http session, listening to the same gemfire Locator service both with the same name in the region - gemfire_modules_sessions and region attribute id

  I also configured vFabric Web server with Http balancer as a front-end for the HTTP request without activating the rigidity of the session as shown below: I couldn't realize the no session affinity

  Thanks for the additional info.

  Although, in theory, by using sessions not may work for some applications, you will have less sessions unexpected behavior. Any page you visit will result in 10 seconds of additional applications, go to the server. If they are not sticky and bounce between servers, the session will constantly be failed back between the servers. A 'problem' with modern browsers is that they appear simultaneous requests, so you can have the same session failover, at the same time on different servers, that wouldn't be good.

  I'd be curious to know why you choose to have sessions in the first place.

  Nevertheless, it still seems like there is a problem when you have enabled, sessions, so I'll continue to watch it.

  My problem is that I can't have two active sessions of simoultaneous in two browser tabs. When I login in the app in the first tab, I can navigate fine enforcement. But as soon as I open a second tab and a newspaper in the application (with the new session ID), the first tab stopped working - I get redirected to the login page. And when I log in again, the second tab not working anymore... etc.

  I think that the OP's question is can this behavior be easily extended to applications that have been built in the APEX, not only the builder himself.

  This would require a sentinel of custom page common to all applications that conform to a particular session of the management rules set, regardless of those who are. The exact requirements (functional specifications) are too vague for me.

• DRCP - scenario of relief then to connect when he has not left in the session pool

  I have a DRCP configured with a maximum pool size of N. Once all sessions N pool are used, we need to have a scenario of relief for the application that is trying to establish a new connection. As per documentation these new sessions are placed in the queue, so once the free locations appear in the pool - they get them. I realize there is nothing to the pool itself, there should be a timeout parameter / parameter sqlnet.ora or in OIC connect instead. But everything that I have reached my hands to-did not work for me: session hanged just wait a bit for pool to release.

  Anyone does the same approach? What was your solution?

  Answer my first question: is there a way to trigger some kind of time-out and handle exception if the connection has failed within the time limit (as when the DRCP has no free sessions and incoming requests are put in queue)?

  Probably it is there no out-of-box plus solution. Key word here is "non-blocking calls OIC.

• Scalability problems - too many Active Sessions?

  I'm having a problem with an app that I built for one of the College campus, that I work. The application is a queue system where there are stations for students to access your room, admin stations where staff can see these students and "call", and displays outside every office employee that shows the student who was called. There are about 20 of the latter type of billboards. I have the following code in my footer to query the DB for most recent students called for a specific room:

  The process of OnDemand, F_NEXT_STUDENT executes the query and returns the result:

  However, when all these display panels is turned on (and I use the code as follows in the other pages for similar purposes) the application become slow and eventually unresponsive. As a first step, we have the application running a box with Oracle XE. Finally, we have migrated to a full blown installation 11g with APEX listener and GlassFish. My DBA said everything looks ok on the side of the DB, so I tried to dig into other areas to see where the bottleneck can be. After inspecting the report of Active Sessions in the APEX, I noticed that there are a ton of connections being generated (> 30 000). This is not a good thing for me and I try to understand what I am doing wrong.
  
  At first I used $. post() instead of $. get (). I was also using setInterval() instead of a setTimeout() loop. However, none of these changes really seem to help the situation. I am at a loss to know how else to improve the performance of this application. Any suggestions on what I can try?

  are you sure that each AJAX request generates a new APEX session? Because it is based on your downloaded app all right. You can check that by running the following query. It will also show you how long it took APEX to meet your demand for AJAX (elapsed_time). I think that the elapsed time will be the key to find out why your application becomes unresponsive if too many customers are returning. The goal should be that the AJAX request ends as soon as possible. For example 1 sec would be for many, because if you have 20 parallel AJAX requests at the same time, this could have an impact on your DB. You can share your average time?

  I don't know how much data is stored in the ONESTOP_QUEUE table, but it may be useful to adjust your statement used in F_NEXT_STUDENT. On apex.oracle.com, the plan of the explain output shows at least he uses twice a scan interval on index ONESTOP_QUEUE_IDX. For inside MIN instruction it is well, but the external SQL should just do a search PK using QUEUE_ID. This is why I would like to delete

  a.WORKSTATION_ID_CALLED = in_workstation_id and a.STATUS = 'CALLED'
  

  to force the index seek PK using QUEUE_iD.

  I also suggest that you make your JavaScript code on the page 5 and 7 more transparent. He is currently hiding in the region or footer HTML. I would say to move JS code in the attributes of the page 'Function and Global Variable declaration' and ' run when Page Loads. BTW, there is no need to use $(document) .ready in "Run when the Page loads", because internally, we already use $(document) .ready.

  Or instead of using your own JavaScript code you can download the plugin http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/developer-tools/apex/application-express/apex-plug-ins-182042.html#dynamic "Timer" and use rather dynamic actions. On page 5 you can use the action "Refresh" to update your classic report and on page 7 you can use an action to "Set the value" to run your query. I think it would make your page easy to read for others.

  Three things to get started:

  (1) v$ session contains only sessions that are open right now. Other views contain history. If you do not want session$ v.

  (2) If you want sessions to open between 10 and 12 today, say

  between trunc(sysdate)+10/24 and trunc(sysdate)+12/24
  

  (3) you must select separate session_id, session_serial #

• Element is not defined in the SESSION

  Anyone has an idea why a user of the site would get a message error "some element is not defined in the SESSION" and no one else? Whenever the user presses a page that calls a session variable from a previous page that has defined the variable, they get an error message of session. They get the same results with different browsers, IE and Firefox. ???

  The problem is solved itself. I don't know how. I scoured the user through a few test pages (which does not require a login) who comes to set a variable in session to text, and then on the next page shows the session variable. It has worked well. I thought: "maybe it has to do with the session during a connection.
  Then I put the test pages in a folder that requires a login and test pages worked. Then I had the user to access pages throwing error "undefined in session", after logging, and the error disappeared. I don't know what happened.

• Version 38.0.1 of Firefox will not restore a previous session by using Tab Mix Plus; all other versions prior to version 38.0 work.

  I installed all versions of Firefox to version 31.0 38.0 and the only one that does not restore a previous session using session Tab Mix Plus restore feature was version 38.0 or 38.0.1 (latest version).

  I think I saw something about this on their support forum, the other day, and the suggestion was to try the current development version:

  You can activate it without a SIM card. If it is locked, it takes a SIM card by the carrier, for it is locked. The SIM card should not be linked to an active line of service, but it must be present to activate it.

  You will find this bookmarking a page (by clicking the star next to the address, or to go in bookmarks > bookmark this page is precisely what we must remember the pages.)   If you want to know about session restore, there is a helpful support article here which I think also has information on version 3.0. However, I invite you, once more, update, since older versions (including 3.0) are is more sustained and have known security flaws. In addition, you will not lose any no matter what functionality at all (unless you use modules that are no longer usable by the newer versions, in which case you must contact the authors of Add-ons for support and ask them to update their software), is free and very easy to do.
