date in the tank then char far

Hello
Oracle 11 g xe

' 1) I want the date in 12 Dec 2012 "in SP and side SP I stated setting date
so I think that it creates no problem of all weather condition is it customer oracle or any other front. ?

(2) I (variable type date) date, I want to turn to a char, but it should be in iso Formate (I want iso Formate so that it does not create any problem in any condition).

(3) and then please tel me how to convert (variable of type date) (date to a char in the iso or any good foramte) (so that it should not be a problem and that's why I wanted to tank date in iso format).

Yours sincerely.

convert date char and char to date.

It depends on what you want your output to be formatted like and how your entry-as-date string has been formatted.

For example. If I wanted to convert my rope 13 13 January 2012:28 ' in a date, it would be foolish for me to use a mask of the date "yyyy-mm-dd", because who is not in the format of the string that was passed in.

function to_date (String, format) is saying "this is a string, I want to convert it to a date - and Furthermore, the contents of the string correspond to dates with this specific format."

Similarly, to_char (date, format) is "here's a date, I want to convert it into a string that has this particular date format.

  • Store data from the Serial Port in the buffer and then take action?

    Hello! Everyone,

    I'm new to LabVIEW and I take assistance from various videos and stuffs available online to get started with LabVIEW.

    But I have a duty, therefore needing help.

    initially I see some of the tutorial videos and learned about the LabVIEW interface, and does a little project to communicate with the Port series (receiving and sending data).

    Happens to my task.

    My LabVIEW application will send a few State request packets on my device or control and based on the response packet that I have to display values.

    The Structure of package is as

    Header, length, Op_Code, data Checksum

    There is no terminator as newline or carriage return or anything else.

    In C language, I read the data from the Serial Port, and based on the length, I conclude that I got the full package or not, and then by recalculating the checksum value, the integrity of the package is verified and then based on that Op-Code has been sent will be decided.

    (I'm dealing with hexadecimal data)

    But how can I do this in LabVIEW.
    A tutorial or any referece will be useful for me.

    1. I suggest that you learn to use Shift Registers instead of local and global variables.  They are much more efficient (memory and execution speed) and make it much easier to read the schema.

    2. you don't need this inside the loop property node.  Is there a way to configure a Serial Port to turn off the stop character.

    3. you don't need to wait for playback VISA will limit the rate of loop if no data is coming.

    4. Once you have the length, you simply read the rest of the entire message and process it at a time.  This will make things a LOT faster.

    5. you should really do this enum a def type so that you can ensure that all your enum constants have the same values.  If you need to add a State later, simply update your enum in the same place then.

  • Save the data on the button and then save the data on a spreadsheet on another key.

    Hello

    I am a new user of Labview. I'm developing a Labview 7.1 program that will record data on the keys. Another button, he must stop recording, and then open a file dialog box to save the data stored on a worksheet. I read in this forum that I have run several loops in parallel but unfortunately I can't see the examples because I use an older version of Labview. I tried to do to pass the data in a table, once recording is started, and then I carry the data to write a function that spreadsheet inside an another case statement. However, once I put the writing on the spreadsheet for the case statement he cannot write. I tried to put out the statement box but it save only a single set of data. Sorry if I am not clear with my explanation. It will be greatly appreciated if someone can give me some advice on this.

    Thanks in advance for your information.

    See you soon,.

    You want to build a table of data.
    If the Boolean value is true, you will add a data point in the table.

    If it's wrong, you do not add anything, and the loop will be re-iterate.

    In the example below, the same code appears twice.

    Half top shows the case of 'Real' and the bottom half shows the case of 'false '.

  • The distribution of applications and data between the disk SSD and HDD

    I recently installed an SSD in my Macbook Pro (late 2011) instead of the DVD player. I want to install OS X on it, by replacing the current OS X on the original hard disk, I will continue to use for storing files. How should I allocate its use in car? OS X and applications on the data files on the hard disk of 500 GB and SSD?

    The first series of instructions will partition and format the newly installed SSD disk then install OS X on it. The second block will help you configure OS X on the SSD with your data on the HARD drive.

    Clean Install of El Capitan on a new disc

    1. Restart the computer. Immediately after the chime, press Command + Option + R until a globe appears.
    2. The Utility Menu appears in 5 to 20 minutes. Be patient.
    3. Select disk utility, then click on the continue button.
    4. When loading disk utility, select the drive (generally, the entry Out-bumpy) in the list aside.
    5. Click the Partition tab in the main window of disk utility. A panel will fall.
    6. Set the GUID partition scheme.
    7. Define the type of Format Mac OS extended (journaled).
    8. Click on the apply button, then click the fact when it is active.
    9. Quit disk utility and re-enter the Utility Menu.
    10. Select reinstall OS X and click on the continue button.

    How to use an SSD with your HARD drive

    If you want to use an SSD as boot with your existing HARD disk drive, as the disk 'data', here is what you can do.

    After installing the SSD, you need to partition and format the SSD using disc utility disc. Then install OS X on the SSD. Once installed OSX boot from SSD. Startup disk preferences to set up the SSD as the boot volume.

    Open the preferences users and groups. Click the lock and authenticate you. Or CTRL - RIGHT click on your username account list in the sidebar and select Advanced Options in the context menu. You will see a field called "Home dir: ' on the far right, you will see an Edit button. Click on it. In the file dialog box, navigate to the location in house now located on the HARD disk (disk HARD/users/user_name /.) Select the folder, click the Open button. Restart the computer, as shown. When the computer starts, it will now use the home located on the HARD drive folder.

    Another more technical method involving the Terminal and the alias is discussed in depth here: using OS X with a SSD and HDD - Matt Gemmell configuration. It's my preferred approach because I can choose which records of the House, I want to on the HARD drive and I don't want to. For example, I like to keep Documents and library files on the SSD because I frequently access their content.

    Make sure that you keep the bootable system entirely on your HARD drive where you need it.

    Hello!

    As far as I know that you must add the Group everyone in the folder options. Right-click on the folder-online security-online advanced-online (effective) permissions
    There, you must add the user to the other laptop or for example all users. Then it should work.
    I had this problem for 1 or 2 years and it worked for me.

    A friend of mine told me that he was able to copy the data to a Linux system. You can start form a Linux boot CD/DVD, and then copy the data on the other PC.

  • Writing data to the file when the trigger is activated?

    Hi all

    I'm quite new in lab mode, and I find it difficult to find a solution to this problem quite simple. I installed a gauge on a tank, and each time, he reached the limit of overflow of the VI should write all data to a file. I implemented my data tables, but I am struggling to find a way to have the VI writing the data when the specific trigger (the tank overflow) occurs. I'm sure the solution is quite simple, but was faced with this during a few days now so I decided to ask for help.

    See you soon,.

    Yes, simply son by the name of desired file in VI of file write. If a cable it won't entice.

  • Smart way to save large amounts of data using the circular buffer

    Hello everyone,

    I am currently enter LabView that I develop a measurement of five-channel system. Each "channel" will provide up to two digital inputs, up to three analog inputs of CSR (sampling frequency will be around 4 k to 10 k each channel) and up to five analog inputs for thermocouple (sampling frequency will be lower than 100 s/s). According to the determined user events (such as sudden speed fall) the system should save a file of PDM that contains one row for each data channel, store values n seconds before the impact that happened and with a specified user (for example 10 seconds before the fall of rotation speed, then with a length of 10 minutes).

    My question is how to manage these rather huge amounts of data in an intelligent way and how to get the case of error on the hard disk without loss of samples and dumping of huge amounts of data on the disc when recording the signals when there is no impact. I thought about the following:

    -use a single producer to only acquire the constant and high speed data and write data in the queues

    -use consumers loop to process packets of signals when they become available and to identify impacts and save data on impact is triggered

    -use the third loop with the structure of the event to give the possibility to control the VI without having to interrogate the front panel controls each time

    -use some kind of memory circular buffer in the loop of consumer to store a certain number of data that can be written to the hard disk.

    I hope this is the right way to do it so far.

    Now, I thought about three ways to design the circular data buffer:

    -l' use of RAM as a buffer (files or waiting tables with a limited number of registrations), what is written on disk in one step when you are finished while the rest of the program and DAQ should always be active

    -broadcast directly to hard disk using the advanced features of PDM, and re-setting the Position to write of PDM markers go back to the first entry when a specific amount of data entry was written.

    -disseminate all data on hard drive using PDM streaming, file sharing at a certain time and deleting files TDMS containing no abnormalities later when running directly.

    Regarding the first possibility, I fear that there will be problems with a Crescent quickly the tables/queues, and especially when it comes to backup data from RAM to disk, my program would be stuck for once writes data only on the disk and thus losing the samples in the DAQ loop which I want to continue without interruption.

    Regarding the latter, I meet lot with PDM, data gets easily damaged and I certainly don't know if the PDM Set write next Position is adapted to my needs (I need to adjust the positions for (3analog + 2ctr + 5thermo) * 5channels = line of 50 data more timestamp in the worst case!). I'm afraid also the hard drive won't be able to write fast enough to stream all the data at the same time in the worst case... ?

    Regarding the third option, I fear that classify PDM and open a new TDMS file to continue recording will be fast enough to not lose data packets.

    What are your thoughts here? Is there anyone who has already dealt with similar tasks? Does anyone know some raw criteria on the amount of data may be tempted to spread at an average speed of disk at the same time?

    Thank you very much

    OK, I'm reaching back four years when I've implemented this system, so patient with me.

    We will look at has a trigger and wanting to capture samples before the trigger N and M samples after the outbreak.  The scheme is somewhat complicated, because the goal is not to "Miss" samples.  We came up with this several years ago and it seems to work - there may be an easier way to do it, but never mind.

    We have created two queues - one samples of "Pre-event" line of fixed length N and a queue for event of unlimited size.  We use a design of producer/consumer, with State Machines running each loop.  Without worrying about naming the States, let me describe how each of the works.

    The producer begins in its state of "Pre Trigger", using Lossy Enqueue to place data in the prior event queue.  If the trigger does not occur during this State, we're staying for the following example.  There are a few details I am forget how do ensure us that the prior event queue is full, but skip that for now.  At some point, relaxation tilt us the State. p - event.  Here we queue in the queue for event, count the number of items we enqueue.  When we get to M, we switch of States in the State of pre-event.

    On the consumer side we start in one State 'pending', where we just ignore the two queues.  At some point, the trigger occurs, and we pass the consumer as a pre-event.  It is responsible for the queue (and dealing with) N elements in the queue of pre-event, then manipulate the M the following in the event queue for.  [Hmm - I don't remember how we knew what had finished the event queue for - we count m, or did you we wait until the queue was empty and the producer was again in the State of pre-event?].

    There are a few 'holes' in this simple explanation, that which some, I think we filled.  For example, what happens when the triggers are too close together?  A way to handle this is to not allow a relaxation to be processed as long as the prior event queue is full.

        DAQmxErrChk (DAQmxStartTask(taskHandleFRQ));
        DAQmxErrChk (DAQmxStartTask(taskHandle));

    I think that the original code was operational. However, given that the data transmission has been set to finished, I had a hard time to visualize the data on my scope. By changing the value of DAQmx_Val_FiniteSamps to DAQmx_Val_ContSamps, I could easily see the data.

    My mistake. I'm still learning here. Thanks for the time.

    Hello

    As I said on your other thread:

    In order to write in the shared directory/documents, your application should request action "access_shared" and it must be granted by the user. Make sure you have

    access_shared

    in your bar - descriptor.xml.

    Also note that the shared documents folder may not be the best place to write the application log data. There is one connects / in the sandbox to this effect, or the application directory data / directory if the information should be persisted. The documents/shared/folder is designed for documents that the user creates or interacts with.

    HTH,

    Christian

  • Reading/writing data to files in the directory "data" of the application

    I'm trying to write and then read a little data, and it does not work. The size of the file is back by '0' because I wrote the file:

    char* ptr = NULL;
    write_file("./data/test.txt", "testing!");
    read_file("./data/test.txt", &ptr);
    fprintf(stderr, "HERE: %s\n", ptr);

    void write_file(char* file_name, char* data)
    {
        FILE* file = fopen(file_name, "w");

        if (file == NULL)
        {
            fprintf(stderr, "Cannot write to file: %s\n", file_name);
        }
        else
        {
            fprintf(file, data);
        }

        close(file);
    }

    int read_file(char* file_name, char** data)
    {
        FILE* file = fopen(file_name, "r");

        if (file == NULL)
        {
            fprintf(stderr, "Cannot read from file: %s\n", file_name);

        }
        else
        {
            struct stat st;
            int rc = stat(file_name, &st);

            if (rc)
            {
                return -1;
            }

            long num_bytes = st.st_size;

            *data = malloc(num_bytes + 1);

            fread(*data, 1, num_bytes, file);

            (*data)[num_bytes] = NULL;
        }

        close(file);

        return 0;
    }

    Don't know what I'm doing wrong here...

    No idea, but a few tips:

    • Have you created the directory data?
    • Put an exit if the entry is successful, so you can be sure that your code is executed
    • Close the file only if opened successfully
    • Close the file with fclose. Close may not do and cause it is not emptied, the content can be empty. See http://www.cplusplus.com/reference/clibrary/cstdio/fopen/
    • Add a fflush (normally not used) after writing
  • Gets the number of records in the report based on the input of the user on the date and the number of days.

    Hello

    I need where there are quick dashboard that selects the date, second interval column consists of >, <, = and the third column is seen number (in days)

    for example, the user enters: 12 18, 2015, <, 9. here I report who should get the data (records) 9 days earlier from the date specified (from 12/10/2015 to 18/12/2015).

    Similarly for > =.

    How to get there. I'm unable to write the script and I use the column date in my report. Ask that you please advice how to solve this problem.

    Please find below the screen for reference.

    Kind regards

    Chandra Khalil.

    Hello

    Not exactly why you're doing the report this way. If the user must select, basically, a period of dates, would not easier to have a column of data with a between the operator and the user would select 2 dates (upper and lower intervals)?

    In any case, it is possible to achieve what you want to do as a result of your approach. You could use when's CASE and have a more complex filter, but I think that it is better to have a few nested filters where you use the range operator to determine what date filter that you use (see image below)

    Some notes about my filter. First of all, I am making the assumption that the operator is "=", then the number of days specified must be ignored and you just return the data for the selected date. You will notice also that in my filters, I got a cast so far, but if you are using a column that is already a timestamp so it won't be necessary.

    This should achieve what you want.

    See you soon,.
